Is It Good To Share Knowledge For Free?

OMG! What a day! What a day!! Do I need to blog everyday? I think have to entertain my hundred readers who are mostly anonymous. That's right, I do not know most of them. What could be the secret they used to come back again and again in my blog site just to read and view what's been posted here. For one thing I know that one of my classmates in HS reads my blog almost everyday. She once told me that she owned a blog before, not a Blogger but at Wordpress. I asked her to blog here at Blogger and give it a try. With her vast experience in different subjects and her sense of humor almost similar to me she'll probably have all of our HS classmates reading her blog.

Who could have so many interesting ideas and blog them all is like risking your own opportunity to be original and let them copied and stolen through the internet highway. It take guts and big heart to share ideas to strangers.

Knowledge is power and sharing is part of human nature to pass the knowledge. Who knows when you pass your knowledge to others these people will benefit from it all. Although teachers would rather pass their knowledge at a price that involves wages. It's only when they retired and use their spare time to teach others at a time wherein they were the ones being taught by the young ones. It's more like a give and take process here.

Unselfishness takes place in the internet. It's like a Christmas all-over kind of event. Happy are those who keep receiving and to those who give more than often? Bless them for they usually are the ones who keep receiving the blessings that's why they share more frequently more often than not.

What Else Is New?

A package of brief is costly! $17.99 + tax. " Birdman" winning the Best Picture at the OSCAR's might result to a reduce tag price for briefs. Why not eh? Men have to change their brief frequently as much as possible. They should change everyday. Men who were given the wedgies should change briefs 4x a day!!!!!!!!! Bullies beware!

Women changed their panties two to three times a day. Is it necessary? Sure it is, for sanitary cleanliness. Remember cleanliness is next to Godliness.

This is the most glamorous night for the Oscars. 2015 Stage for the Academy is fabulous, sophisticated and spectacular. The RED motiff stage is amazing! Neil Patrick's hosting is obvioulsy not perfect but he brought laughter to the audience and his ad-libs were awesome. The use of audience participation to his musicale performance with Jack Black is hilarious and unexpected. Part of the skit? His secret ballot enclosed in a glass vault is an added surprise which is not done yet in previous awards night so there are so many new ideas imposed and used in this annual awards presentation.

WINNERS & LOSERS? CONGRATULATIONS WINNERS! Too many winners and most of them are winners from previous awards' night such as The Emmy's, The Golden Globes, and other award giving bodies. Any losers?

Best Actor for the movie THEORY of EVERYTHING, Eddie Redmayne. I knew he will win again. He's such a very talented actor and his speech always come from the heart. Last night his speech and action showed an exhilarating excitement of awe and he looks so thrilled. Funny! Julianne Moore won again for Best actress in the movie STILL ALICE as a woman who is afflicted with alzheimers. Julianne mentioned about karma effect of receiving Oscar's trophy. It's not true. There is no such thing as bad karma if you are a good person. It's a MAYNEMOORE night. Tapping in for the future? You've got BIRDMAN. Mr. Batman Michael Keaton's on a round -robin early spring. It's a comeback movie for Michael Keaton who was not seen in Hollywood for such along time. Good for him. Budapest? Wow! They garnered so many awards too. What's the secret of the Budapest Hotel? Hungary...where are you? Ha ha ha ha! AMAZING RACE will return to our TV on Wednesday. 11 pairs of strangers (?) will team up to compete in the most popular race around the world. Watch for it.

I was back and forth at Ch 101 Oscar's 2015 to AMC 303 because of WALKING DEAD series (Episode: Distance) where the group of Rick Grimes encountered more terrifying zombies in their path to the camp where those two strangers promised them of their safety. Is it really safe and secured in that newfound place? That's the issue on next episode comes next Sunday. What's the distance? uhm, the distance between two points is a straight line.

Season finale of Agent Carter tomorrow? She is Peggy Carter the new Marvel's action heroine. My daughter likes her so we love to watch her every Tuesday. FLASH is another television series also of MARVEL's. Television shows nowadays are elaborately movie-like in its presentation. Modern technology made tv-movie production better, flashy and spectacular, magnanimous in its content.

Monday today so relax lang basta Marvel.

MOVIE TIME

MOVIE TIME:

My family used to watch movies on TV. We have movie channels but most of the time the movies they featured are already old and been watched so many times. So, we rented movie once a month or twice a month on the Optik New Released movies. WE NEVER DOWNLOAD OR UPLOAD MOVIES. WE RENTED THOSE MOVIES and billed every month. I hope hackers do not hack the system. Or did they? Two of our televisions were damaged because of that hideous situation that is uncalled for nor ever we expected to happen.

Recently these are the movies we watched:

1. FURY - The movie story revolves around Brad Pitt playing the role of an army sergeant manning a Sherman tank with 4 crews to help him lead the war in Germany. Being a more experieced military man he commands his crew in this vigorous, bloody encounter with the enemies. Bloody war with slow result on how the battle will end and they fought galantly until their last breath and the ending will leave you wondering why there's a need to this gross unnecessary war about infrastructure and a new world order set up by arrogant leaders. You can ask why not those leaders fight war between themselves instead of having those innocent victims suffer of the wicked consequences of savagery.

2. GONE GIRL - Story revolves around 2 writers who got married, bought a beautiful expensive house and settled there for good until their financial capability suffered due to man's extravagance on "toys for his addictive gaming." Then suddenly the wife named Amy can't be found and the husband looked everywhere and asked the help of the family and media people. This movie is insanely gross, gruesome and a real psychotic event of manipulative people. It's a psycho-thriller movie full of suspense no wonder it's the most intriguing controversial movie of the year.

3. LUCY - I watched the trailer of this movie and it's not that very interesting. Anyway, I watched it and discovered it's a movie about a "woman" who was used as the receiver of the bag of anesthesia. Scarlett Johansson is the new "Anasthasia." The missing link. She is that woman without remorse simply because that's what the role calls for. Who is she? LUCYfer? The monkey or what? Decipher the truth about Lucy and see for yourself who she is. Using 100% of your brain means you can have telekinetic power , ESP and the power to control?

It's YOU Who Makes Your Own Destiny

There's a very thin line between being a genius and a moron. How that happened? If everything else failed, you are a moron. If everything wins and succeed then you are a genius.

That happened to the genius Albert Einstein. No ifs no buts but how it goes simply a matter of what is your purpose in life that can make you be of beneficial to others.

Intriguing as it may seems but your goal and purpose in life should benefit the whole mankind if you choose to be a scientist otherwise you can be a guinea pig of your own experiment or be with the world. Your destiny, your choice.

Epidural Got to Do With It?

Googling news around the internet and happened to stop at one of the many critics of Mrs. Sarah Palin. The critic has a blog politically induced blog blurting out with great strength to rant about politicians who are against her opinion and family values and perception about what life should be. I found her > Sarah > articulate, smart and full ideas and I wonder why some people called her stupid. There is something wrong with those critics eh? They don't know how to differentiate being smart and being stupid. I think it has something to do with insecurity. Envy and jealousy? Uhm, Sarah is charming and beautiful. In a political arena, a woman of her stature is a great asset, It could be that opposing sides wont like another smart and beautiful woman in the White House. What could be the complications? What is Cleopatra known for? Take a look at her image on this photo above. I snapped of this image and keep it in my album, photo in 1993 when my husband and I had a visit in the HOUSE OF WAX MUSEUM, in Victoria, B.C. Beautiful Cleopatra. Wow! Great art piece. Also in the museum are the waxed images of the Royal Family, ancient archives and etc.

Queen Nefertiti, Joan of Arc, Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth I,  and other leading geniuses who were born women and became politically involved tend to promote vigorous war after war and devastation is worst that you could ever imagine. However Sarah Palin is a family-oriented woman. I have seen a movie about her played by the equal yet stunning smart movie actress named Julianne Moore . I watched the movie from the beginning to end and there is something about her that doesn't want being force to do what is against her principle and personal well-being.  She may be a very interesting human being but she is not a robot.

If you are following AGENT CARTER of Marvel's on TV then you probably can understand what I'm saying.

You know WOMEN who suffered from labor pains in delivering their own babies knew what real pain is. Unlike men who never suffer or bear to suffer such kind of situation nor they did have to bear the brunt and suffer the consequence of monthly period, its monthly pain of dysmenorrhea for these men never know what pain is all about. Women have to endure such kind of pain because they can able to suppress and survive. They have that kind of endurance, agility and their brain is of course different from men. God is probably a woman not a man. Who knows eh? Better ask Him then. Women are different from men and they are smarter until they were injected with epidural.

Where this blog going? Once in a while have to read other people's blogs and check what they are doing to keep busy. Mostly, blogwriters are in their 40's going over the hill? I don't think so. I think if you are over 40 you are not out yet, You are to start a new leaf, a new life and be prepared to be of somebody important and be righteous and be of help to others when your own family has no time for you. It's the old basic necessity in life to keep you happy, you must lift somebody else to lift yourself up.

Feeling down and depressed maybe for just moment of  agony. Maybe just for few days and it's time to move on when it's time to MOVE ON!

Life's not a bed of roses. Your life is not here in this world to stand-by but to do something that is worthy of a cause even if not for yourself. Happier are those people who are employed and receiving salary and wages for the WORK done. For the volunteers, better volunteer when it is deserving of your help and when called for. Let them ask you if they need you otherwise do not always beg for others to take you in for they think you are just invading their privacy. Provide help only when they really need it badly. To the arrogant, rude and mean? They don't need your help. Your kindness might just lead to unappreciated nothingness.

It's A Holiday! It Should Be A Holiday!!

Hectic busy day for my family today. Things that we haven't done for the past months is finished before 1:00 pm. I bought some personal stuff for my twins and some household products at Walmart that need replacement. My family went to Tim Horton's to the new doughnut shop and bought my kids' favorite doughnuts with strawberry fillings inside , the rest are assorted donuts with different flavors and colors. Too sweet! Then two bags of fresh bagels. Next, drive-thru A&W for eat-at-home mozza burgers with fries and bags of fries + chubby chicken. Consider these food as our lunch. Thank goodness we have to eat these food at home not outside.

It is glorious super nice outside, the weather is absolutely perfect, almost like spring time. Half of the day's gone with all the shopping and outing because we have to be outside of the house while the realtors showed our house to would-be-buyers.

It's Washington's birthday. President's Day and  today is also a celebration of FAMILY DAY. Right! I'm in the United States of America! lol. This is our kind of celebrating what Family Day is all about.

I could lie and imagine that the day goes by so smoothly and so beautiful without all the stress and use so many adjectives and verbs to make it pleasing for everyone to read. You know just like those fantasy novels you have read about fairies and Cinderella and all the gallant glorious majestic sceneries of what life in the world of IMAGINATION. However true real life is about ups and downs and reality is simply irresistibly the truth and what you wish is what you get.

Anyway, the good thing is I'm lucky with those scratches. I won and retrieved $13.00 encashed the winning tickets and then bought another two tickets and won again. Little pleasures that put back the smile on my face.

It's not because today is Valentine's day and I have to receive chocolate. Nah. I usually have white chocolate to keep my sweet tooth happy. I can't find the other white chocolate Lindt but this kind of choco with coconut flakes will do for now. Why I don't like coconut flakes on chocolate? It bothers my throat. It can cause coughing. My suggestion? They should stick to plain white chocolate milk.

 

This strawberry cake from Costco is the best cake I've ever tasted. Not too sweet and not too overrated, it was just right. I could just bake and have homemade cake or pastry but did you know that it is economically better to buy your own cake than bake it your own. To make  and bake a cake is overwhelming because of the expensive ingredients that go with it. A $15 to $20 worth of cake from the bakery is good than baking from scratch that will have you to spend $50 worth of cake if you'll be the one to bake it. Savings: $30.00

 

My daughter and I received a new bed ensemble. A complete set of bed in a bag. THANKS DADDY! Thank goodness we don't need to use the colorful comforter of cartoony characters of Digimon.

 

 

 

Despite the many household chores at home I found time to sew the new fabric (cotton/canvas) I had last Christmas, a fabric bought from Walmart.  It's a simple style intended for this kind of floral pattern. I'm a little overweight so a blouse that you can see on above photo is just right with its non-curvaceous style. Who knows I might lose few pounds of weight and I can repair the edges and have a sexier look to this top.

How about the skirt? The floral fabric is not enough. I found an extra black retazo from my box of left-over fabric from previous sewing project. It's not bad really. An A-Line skirt with elastic on waistline. This is what conservatism is. You have to use your skills to economize most of the time. Quality will suffer? Maybe or maybe not. This is not a party outfit so there's really no sense of wearing the blouse and skirt to attend a party. At least it is not the kind of outfit that will have that proverbial wardrobe malfunction.

In the case of sewing and other handicrafts, conservation is quite easily been applied for several causes only if you are not too meticulous. However, when it comes to building houses and other construction like bridges and dams and other infrastructures you expect bigger and costly budget to get 100% result and in the form of highest quality otherwise what you will get in return for a low cost quality anyway? Haha, you know better.

Hairy Days Are Almost Over

What a surprise! Would you believe that I had a haircut last month and the hair grew so fast, so quickly than anticipated. Four inches of my black hair cut off to save shampoo and hair dye. Then two days ago I noticed that my hair grew back so quickly. So unbelievable. So this time I cut off  7.5 inches of my hair from its 30.5 inches long hair. Let see how fast it will grow back in the next month or two. Cutting my own hair: Savings: $15-$20.00 Dyeing my own hair: Savings: $100.00

My hair looks weird. It takes very strange form and shape like a Rorschach test. lol

I didn't win the big prize but at least got a free dark roast Tim Horton's coffee. I'm just so lucky when it comes to winning consolation prize. Others are unlucky though getting nothing.

Fortunately when it comes to lottery and GOLD RUSH there's always something of a surprise. Better than nothing.

After a hearty meal of Chinese cuisines or in other words Chinese food consist of chow mein, deep fried prawns, chop suey, wonton soup and a lot other kinds of food that I usually cooked at home and what better way to wish after dinner is cracking the fortune cookie and find out what's inside it. Happiness Is A Bliss?

My husband showed me the latest of the house that he is working on together with our son. It is another luxury house, a mansion and the detailed features from the very materials that were put together to finish such wonderful beautiful house is awesome financial capability of the owner developer. How lucky the people who will be able to live there and lucky for them to be able to afford such a classy mansion. You have to be a millionaire to live in such luxurious dwellings.

The other mansion was finished and my husband hasn't given the bill (the receipts) to the owner. I don't know what he is waiting for. Sure we need extra money so that we can also move out from this house we are presently occupying due to the sudden change of mind from its owner to sell it again. It was for sale for more than a year actually, only to have it listed in the rental property management. It was one of our choices, not too many to choose from that time. When we saw it from the local flyer we thought we have to take a look of it inside and out. The outside is disgusting as I remember. It was like an abandon house and lot. The grass on the yard looks like it was unkempt and wth sort of a scenery from a haunted house movie. Creepy! My son said some other houses are worst than this one. Besides, we were in a hurry because our house was sold right away. Imagine being in the market only for one month and a father and son from Calgary bought it. Great deal! Hah! It was such a good deal because the price for that dad's rancher is worth more than the tag price. It should have been sold higher than what it's been advertised. I knew that it will be sold even for the price of $350,000 at least because of its large yard, workshop bigger than the garage. The rancher has   three bedrooms with two bathrooms but the living room is large enough to be convenient for the occupants and the kitchen is bigger than any other kitchen because you can fit in two dining room set. Oh well, life sucks! There are some group of people who are in dire strait and they want to have part of what they can sell.

I have frustrations. I was disappointed. I hate few people because of their greed, arrogance and they should get out from their high horse.

I was ambitious too when I was in College. I was ambitious enough to finish my College degree and get a job right away. I  experienced so many obstacles but that doesn't stop me from achieving what I have to achieve. However, you can be very ambitious but when wages are not enough to sustain a person's needs and wants then what comes to mind is the word "practicality."

Be practical for the sake of knowing what is more important. When you know what could be at stake and what could lead to happiness. Besides not all people who are richer than you are happy and contented. Meaning it's not always the material things that can make a person happy... maybe just superficial or happiness could be a big lie.

So are you a great pretender?

Food Galore

 It's the superbowl food? not really! The images of food here are sort of the birthday feast that my family enjoyed.

 Special noodles with special ingredients. Using two kinds of noodles such as farkay and vermicelli are splendid the choice just to have two kinds of textured noodles of different colors: white and yellow orange noodles. Hot and cold food. Hot pancit noodles, hot steaming rice, hot boiled swiss chards. hot deep fried dimsum, hot deep fried chicken wings and hot Italian spaghetti.

For cold food: I cooked sushi rice for seafood sushi rolls, cold fruit cocktail salad. I did not bake any cake or bread nor pastry just the sticky rice cake called biko.

 My husband bought a strawberry cheese cake which everyone likes. He also bought fresh flowers of carnation, mums and daisies. Just simple celebration.

Today,  we have these food on the counter, rather island table for us to have for lunch. Finished.  These are what's left: Pizza Hawaiian flavor, smoked salmon, quiches, slices of beef (left-over from the roast beef we had for dinner last night) then what else? Ah, you have eyes to see ...
Tonight we'll have chili beans and deep fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce or catsup. Whatever it is show and tell once again just like all the bloggers' writers who are fascinated with all the fun fare of blogging.

By the way, Patrick is here to entertain us while my sister and her family on vacation. Right, we'll be looking after Patrick for two weeks and it seems he likes his new house.
