Quench Thirst

At first don't like to have this 7 UP
Know why?
Look at the Logo.
It's totally a different Logo and symbol
It's funky and colorful

However, a leading department store in the local community wont sell fake 7 UP soft drinks.
Okay maybe, they created a brand new symbol and logo as a way to cater to their customers and adding brand new creative logo and symbol could win their customers back to drinking their brand of quenching thirst.

7 UP is made with natural lemon and lime flavours. Add ice cubes for refreshing tasty zest of lemon and lime.

It's HOT! The weather is superbly unbelievable! Can you still sleep when you perspire and sweating? I think every beverage, soft drinks and water will be consumed.

Right now, the weather is down to 14 degrees c. from its 32 d.c. but feels like 40 degrees c. Nasty, incredible weather temperature. Wildfires in Kelowna, Ontario and California. Raging and ravishing. I pray for early Autumn.

Showing Off Is Bad!

While the rich and famous are showing off their collections of their designer bags in another blog form/website as if posing inside the department store because of their mammoth collection simply put it this way...why?  It's not my business, maybe the blogwriters want to flaunt their wealth, that they are high socialites and they are really super rich. Or they want you to get jealous. Well, hope they are paying their taxes. It's the same with those richy rich people flaunting their sports cars and their mansions. Please pay your tax so that you wont be harassed or followed by the IRS or Revenue Canada or the BIR.

LOL.  Some people are just that extravagant when it comes to choice of their collections.

The former FL of the Philippines was once harassed and verbally abused by her detractors for her lavish collection of designer shoes. Wow! Are you one of the jealous people who copied and imitated her? So many showbiz personalities followed her kind of "imeldefic euphoria of collecting shoes." They are probably shoes gifted to her or shoes for her to wear and promote.

You know what? You too can collect hundreds to thousands of shoes by not throwing your shoes since at the time you started wearing shoes. Every time you bought pairs of shoes, store them, even if doesn't fit your soles, keep them. Year after year, until you reach 50 years of age and  find out how many pairs of shoes you had within that time period. Or pose at the shoe department store and pretend the thousands of pairs of shoes there belongs to you. Weird! Who you are fooling around?

WE all have that kind of habit that we don't like throwing away something that has value or sentimental value. Having seen those designer bags especially the "Louis Vuitton" had me remember my missing designer bag. OMG! I wonder who had stolen my genuine LV?  Too late crying over it. I'm just using cheap bags nowadays.

In the past, when my area rug carpet had been stolen, two kitchen rugs (would you believe kitchen rugs? (That thief is so desperate!!!!!) , the ceramic jar (it's not even from Han dynasty or Ming dynasty it's an ordinary cheap jar), the satin jacquard drapery, the backpack with documents...all these stuff gone during the time when the houses were for sale and people in and out of our houses. There are too many thieves! What the hell is wrong with our society? With our community? You think it can happen only in under developed countries? NO. You don't know the face of thieves. A thief could be better looking than you or richer than you are. They are so sick! They just want to have what you have and take them away from you.

If my collection at present time are just simply photographs and flowers and clothes that I personally sewn with my sewing machine it's because I'm a victim of thieves.

Fresh New Dahlias To Add My Collection Of Flowers

Summer is not over yet. The scorching heat of the sun keeps the dahlias blooming one by one,
two blooms after another until the branches are full of flowers.

Yellow-orange-peach colors of this dahlia variety
Nice!

Having yellow colored dahlia adds brightly enough for the collection since don't have that yellow in the past

This dahlia variety is really a bright colored red
The petals curled up at the middle  after 3 days of its bloom
Well, could be the result of too much heat.

Beautiful Dahlias

This is the latest of our dahlia variety.
Puritan white dahlia which is a variety given by my sister from her own garden.
The bulbs I planted at springtime.
Down below is the picture of the past dahlia varieties
we planted years ago in another house.

I asked my daughter Tam which is the best dahlia flower above photo
and she had chosen the first
dahlia on the first upper row of flowers
P I N K

Next, these  hybrid dahlia flowers were bulbs in  packages we bought and gave to my sister
for her to plant in her own garden.

I asked my sister where are those hybrid bulbs so that I can also plant in my garden
but she had already given them to her friends, unknowingly they are the hybrids
 because she forgot to
put some tags for identification.

The above photo of dahlia varieties are simple and they changed their colors from the fertilizer and probably from the water and soil contents of where they are planted. You'll never know whether the insects are also contributor in its life stages.

Superbly Strange Name

Mid-summer night and days of mercury rising and there's no stopping the hot, humid scorching heat of the sun. How can you? Can you stop the weather?

Whether you like it or not. Most of the summer flowers are in full bloom including the crocosmia-lucifer. Hot as hell!

It Could Happen To You

As much as would like to post some personal photos of my family here then suddenly I was scared, cold to my feet. I remember those identity thieves and the many conflict of those people who were victims of  identity theft.

Or was it too late for many of us?

For one thing, when my husband and I went to the local bank to have my personal data updated last year. I received a mail letter from the bank's employee who is the O.R.A.S. She wanted to see me that time, she even asked my husband to come to the bank with me. So we went there and when we arrived at the bank, CB was busy with something else in the corner of the bank and somebody at the front desk who was asking/interviewing another bank customer for more than 15 minutes, standing! The teller was sitting and the client was standing for more than 15 minutes. Poor old woman who is an aging 70+. What the hell?! Don't they have chairs so that the old woman can sit down and answer to the many questions that new bank teller is asking? The new teller is rigid, not smiling, snubby, dubious, kind of very strict and For GOD sake!!!!! I wonder if that bank is a bank or Interpol. Heh! Where's Jackie Chan? You want to ask multiple questions in hundreds please let your clients sit down so that other customers do not have to wait. Or give the client a questionnaire form and let them fill up the form. FGS!!!!!!!!!

Then it was my turn. I had the white mail envelope with me, a direct letter from CB who is the O.R.A.S. of the bank. I asked her first if I could see Mrs. CB. The bank teller said CB is too busy (?) She looked like being trapped in that corner of the bank,  so she attended to my needs. She's not busy that time. She was in that corner of the bank as if being trapped! She, the bank teller asked me my ID's, etc. etc. I was adamant or reluctant to give her my information because it should be CB who should I directly talk to that time. She asked so many questions that do not reflect the standard of the bank's moral code and standard. I think she is being mean and inconsiderate. She asked me  where I worked before. I told her what she asked of me, everything. Then when I told her the place of work (restaurants) she said she doesn't know that restaurant and it never exist. She knew Painter's Lodge but not the Chinese restaurant. Whatever!  I looked at her face, stared at her face (she's new in the community). I live here in the past 20 years and it's my first time to see her. I felt intimidated the way she acted upon me. I was feeling kind of uncomfortable. CB was in the back side of the bank, not coming to our needs. What is she doing there? She should come to us at our side because she knew us and we are banking in their bank for the past 20 years. Suddenly, I was looking around the bank that maybe it was a hostage drama and it's a "Die Hard" movie or some kind of gag being played upon us. I felt nervous! I was really nervous that there is something weird happening in that bank.

Okay, told her that the restaurant (Chinese restaurant) closed down and it was replaced with another restaurant. She asked my employer in that restaurant which she said, she doesn't know them.  Then she asked me again where I worked...etc.etc. I'm not applying for work. WTH is she after? When she said that, "You are in the Roadblock!" What? Am I on the road? I first thought that I'm inside the bank. Am I talking to a crazy person? What kind of script she's having? They let that woman do her work as bank teller or intimidator? Practising to be a starlet? What? My husband listened to the on and on nonsense questions of that woman trying to ridicule me in front of many bank customers. She was interested in the cards I showed like the hospital card and my library card from FEU. She scratched my PR Card. Yeah, Mr. PM Trudeau, that woman scratched my Permanent Resident card. Trying to find GOLD somewhere around the card. Okay not that trying to be sarcastic but the woman questioned me like, who is she???????? My God! This is the reason why it's better to do transaction with machines.

The husband sat there wiggling his head because of the many questions not related to bank transactions. He should have informed the novice bank teller that he is my husband and we have a joint bank account. He did not! Then the new bank teller who is a Filipino approached us and told me that he is no longer a Filipino but a Canadian citizen. Who cares? You looked Filipino with that face of yours, brown skin, short not tall and you are not even a mestizo. Truth is, you, Filipino guy looks like Indonesian. Whether you like it or not whether you would like to be a citizen of any country...your skin, the color of your skin will always deceive your claim.

So what if I'm a Filipina and I'm not a Canadian citizen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what happened when Filipinos become Canadian citizens or American citizens they looked down upon other Filipinos when they are not citizen of another countries. I don't know what's this stupid situation I am facing that time as if I'm trying hard to be in that bank. WTH! Do you know what land you are standing? It's not the only bank in the world. You don't treat bank customers as if you owned the bank when you are just a new employee or starting to climb the ladder.

Our bills were paid late because of her. We can't open our bank account. We closed our bank account in that bank that we trusted for such a very long time.  Can't trust that bank anymore.

OMG! My blood pressure went up so high and I felt like the world is spinning. I tried to calm down and looked at the face of the bank teller and stared at her name plate. She's EMILY. Without a surname. Who is she? Who are you? What's your name? I questioned her this time. Do you have business card? She doesn't have a business card in the bank. For God sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who is she? She asked me so many questions and she doesn't belong to the Officer's list of the bank. You should not work in the bank. You are a mole and an embarrassment to the banking institution around the world. I will report you EMILY to the highest IMF that's why.

What Mrs. CB doing in that corner of the bank's office is somewhat questionable. Who are those people inside the bank? Is that a bank or replaced with bandits?

Mystery, Mystery Loves Misery

You know when a writer is an English (British) or American. You know when a writer is educated or highly educated in different genre or subjects because of the terminology they used. Take for an example if the writer is a doctor wherein you would rather just leave that post/composition of the medical practitioner because you wont probably wont understand medical terminology unless if you are curious and you are hiding a secret about your ailment and you would like to know those vital signs. Maybe you are a medical student and would like to learn from the doctor's expertise on that subject when it comes to medicine, its doctrines and philosophy. Don't you miss Dr. Murphy? Um, what really happened to the GOOD DOCTOR?

Anyway, living in different countries or studying in other countries where you would like to learn their culture, customs, traditions and language to communicate deeply well enough only if you are interested you want to know everything and excel.

Can you not learn from reading books about those countries and their people or learn from watching on TV about those people who had the knowledge and expertise in their own rights to inform us about what's happening in their own country. Yeah, right better to be the one to experience it by physically present at the exact location. That's why we are thankful for those travel bloggers because they are to relate their experiences and we are benefited from their own personal experience. Besides, who would like to spend lots of money just to see those exotic places. Maybe they are to just to go to those countries (or has gone there already) because it's wok related or invited by relatives or maybe because on official business. That travel blogger can't be that ALONE by herself or himself just like what happened to Mr. & Mrs SMITH. Truth is some people are CONCERNED for those solo travel bloggers because it's risky being alone in foreign countries. For a couple, traveling around the world is much appreciated for some older people. For the rich and famous traveling around the world is an awesome way to spend money, only if you are financially endowed ... ah, those filthy rich. They've got nothing better to do but float on lukewarm chlorinated swimming pool surrounded by sexy, pretty women clad in floral designed  bikinis and skimpy thongs. Hindi ako naiinggit kahit ipakita mo pa ang singit mo! Aahahhahah!

Adding extra knowledge by communicating in other people's language. Okay A.R.,  Rosetta Stone would probably be helpful but speaking or communicating with the language with people who really speak the language would help better to speak fluently that language aside from speaking the normal universal language. It will take time. It takes maybe 6 months for an American to learn Italian language or takes a Canadian to learn Mandarin for a year or maybe two years and it will take many years for an ordinary individual to speak fluently the Tagalog language because so many million Filipinos until now cannot communicate perfectly in Pilipino or Tagalog language. Would you believe that? For 500 years since the time of the Spanish regime, Philippines was under the rule of Spaniards. Five hundred years! That made the Filipinos > Spanish not Filipinos. So after the universal language Spanish was kaput, stopped in the 1900, replaced by English language as the universal language the Filipinos adopted the English language... I don't know really how Tagalog was discovered. I think it is the combination of  people using different words combination.

Spanish+Chinese+Indians+Malays+Indonesians+American language and that's how Tagalog is used in communication,  combination of differen languages. It's not original.?  Para syang pagkain na pinaghalo-halo. The Visayan dialect is similar to the Malay and Indonesian language. Ilocano language is similar to the dialect of the Chinese/Japanese combi. It should not be called dialect but language. Bakit kasi dialect? Dayalek? O, kasi alam mo naman di ba? Noong unang panahon, ang Philippines kasi yung parteng Quezon province lang + Metro Manila or the Luzon province lang. Kaya nga nung time ni Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite (part of Luzon) ang main capital ng Philippines. After World War II pati Visaya, Mindanao naging Philippines na rin. Susunod nyan pati Canada baka maging Philippines na rin. Bakit hindi? Part of America belongs to Philippines. Shocking? Fort Bonifacio was once Fort McKinley, USA. Hawaii was once a territory of Philippines bakit napapunta sa US?

EWAN. May mga bagay na hindi na dapat ungkatin dahil magulo at baka lumaki pa ang gulo at magkagiyera pa.. Kaya nga EWAN!!!!!!!!! Kung gusto mo get that hot burning steel trademark for the cow or BRAND YOUR SKIN with lots of tattoos.

Hey GIANT please bring Hawaii to the Philippine territory. Yun na nga kasi because of the Pearl Harbor kaya nga... whatever. Sige na nga sa inyo na ang Hawaii.  Magulo. Why bother take Hawaii when Philippines is already large enough and has larger population in more than hundred millions+. Maliit nga ba ang size ng Philippines parang tuldok lang sa map. Or in all honesty mas malaki ang size ng Philippines compared with Europe and other parts of the world.

You can travel Europe in just 2-3 days but you can't travel the whole Philippines in one week. Bakit? Ewan ko nga! Subukan mong magtravel from the tip of Luzon to the tip of Mindanao then to the eastern and western part of Visayan region maybe you'll end up being shocked and ask yourself, "How that happened?" Kataka-taka ba?

Don't get me wrong here. Just because I wrote something not nice about the Philippines and some bad dudes in my country, doesn't mean I don't love my country. The problem is the Philippines during the time of the Marcos regime is far more better than the Philippines you know today or at the time when the Marcos families and cronies were sent to Hawaii on exile. It's totally different because it's like my country has been invaded and infiltrated. And some people were saying, "don't you like the many improvements and developments in terms of having those skyscrapers, modern facilities and modern infrastructures?" OMG! They were owned by multi-nationals! Filipinos don't own them just because they were built inside the land of the Philippines. So dream on! Here's the good news...maybe there's a chance that millions of overseas workers or OFW's about to own the Middle East because of their presence there by the millions. Funny? Yeah, laugh at it as if its a joke.

Tasks In The Form of Questionnaires

Does it matter if the tasks are in the form of questionnaires? It does matter in the Amazing Race because it's a team effort on who will do the task first. It's not mandatory or obligatory but rather a matter of who is willing to do the task as in team effort.

A task in the form of question asking the contestant or competitor gives the taskmaster that whatever happened in a given situation that he's hands off to whatever the consequences maybe. Giving the competitors the chance to think first before doing certain task as it will be quite very challenging for the mind and physical ability of the individual.

TO THINK FIRST gives the participant, the competitors to re-evaluate and analyze their own physical state of mind and body to do the task first and foremost.

A task that requires thinking and analysis tend to break, motivate, encourage your own desire to do the task not by force but doing the task because you obliged and choose to be a participant regardless of any situation, otherwise you can say NO or tap out.

I think in BIG BROTHER television shows the same task question technique is implemented. I don't know if the same kind of technique is used in the television shows such as  ALONE and SURVIVORS.

True North Strong and Free!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!
It's now the 151st birthday of Canada

and
What could be more noble and honorable to pay homage to your native land?

Courtesy of :  CBC News Network
The modern day Governor General Madam Juliette Payette had an amazing way to do the honor of showing her incredible talent, wit and integrity with much of the suprise and amazement of the Canadian crowd, the citizens of Canada. This is something new, informal way, casual way of celebrating Canada Day, instead of coming out from the limousine, the GG biked her way after the Parliamentary guard inspection to be at the grounds of the Parliament Hill in Ottawa. She is physically and mentally fit for her work as a Governor General of course. Once an astronaut will be forever an astronaut and her way is the highway?
While the Governor General addressed her speech, a sudden surprise call from a fellow astronaut Drew Feustel from NASA had something to say for her and everyone. Is that a call from ISS to Earth? Or From NASA to Earth?
The celebration of 2018 Canada's 151st Birthday is somewhat unforgettable
Who wont forget this one of a kind celebration at the Parliament Hill
if the Governor General is a former astronaut?

Constant cravings filled the air
The song popularized by K.D. Lang was sung by group of women,
young and adults dressed in puritan white, each one of them represented their race and their stories
from being an immigrant to becoming new citizen of Canada.
The many musical performers and dancers some were newly been introduced to the music scenes and some performers were famous ( Lights, Arkells, Elijah Wood, Jamie Fine, etc.) and multi-awarded in recognized award-giving bodies.
Other memorable speeches from Melanie Joly (Min. of  Heritage) and from Mrs. Sophie Trudeau (the wife of Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau)
and
Where is the Prime Minister of Canada?
On another television news
PM Justin Trudeau
was celebrating Canada Day with the rest of Canadians
in another province of Canada
Who knows, he could be the parachutist!?
