Fun Games

Seldom do I hear my daughter talk nor in conversation with anybody, seldom see her smile or hear her laugh... however recently, she was laughing out loud.

I wonder why. I asked her, "are you playing a video game?" What's that game about?

 She said, "Angry Birds!"

What angry birds? Do you think angry birds are funny?

And I looked at how many points she scored at that extraordinary game. That's why she likes it, she can score and earn points.

Not only that, the "characters of such game" are ridiculously funny, also showing emotions of sadness, sorrow, fear, aggression, hostility, and most of the time it is really hilarious to the point that you will have to laugh at every scene. It's a fun game for kids and adults. It is animated cartoon, no one really get hurt or killed in this game. LOL.

Random Blogging

Random blogging. What's that? I blog or type right here at this moment using this platform without the need to look at another piece of paper or document. I wrote to what my mind dictates.I have a long memory. You can steal my work but my memory lives forever. lol, drama.

Just like writing an essay in front of the teacher inside the classroom and no means to correct myself because time is running out. Just like that it is time pressured task.

I've been blogging randomly for the past 10 years, direct composition on this platform and it seems the result is quite not pleasing for some people who read it but it's just good for my cause. Besides, who do you think read my boring life? My very boring daily work or ranting and musings.

What the heck it's just me entertaining myself. Then suddenly remember I have something very important to do such as: laundry, cooking, and housecleaning or watering the plants. The routine work at home. Then my sort of hobbies to keep me busy rather than facing the computer for 12 hours! Nah, not true. I have only few one hour to two hours of surfing the net, facebooking, blogging, listening to music and then off the computer. Life goes on.

I don't get out much, not because of the pandemic but because I am not that kind of person who gets out of the house everyday. Even when I was younger, it was always home to school, school to home. Or home to school then a visit to my parents at their workplace, in the hospital where they both worked. My father was the military Chief Clerk & a medic for Red Cross  and my mother as a civilian nursing attendant. Typically, I am a boring child? lol. Got nothing to do but read books, comics, magazines, newspapers and tabloids (baduy ko, mahilig akong magbasa ng mga artista ha ha ha!). Oopss, I helped at home doing household chores not because I need monies for school allowance but because I believed that children should also help their parents doing housework. nothing's wrong with fetching water (filling up the drum with water and gallons of drinking water until midnight), the water system and flow of water in Philippines was really "slow" that time period. There was ration of water supply per city to city and the allocated time of water flow thr. the system to the water pipes varies from 4-5 hours per day. Would you believe? That's why some families opted to have artesian wells built right there closer to their kitchen and they wont need to be waiting when the water will come or not and few other families had installed jet-o-matic on their water tap to keep water flowing increasing the volume and water capacity in their direction. Cheating? Not really! It's the technique of getting ahead.

I'm so glad we don't have that kind of problem here in Canada. We have enough water here even during winter season and hope that this country wont get over populated because that's what it is there wont be enough water when the population of people get into the population explosion level.

Then heard from somebody that Canada wont run out of water. Canada is surrounded by huge bodies of water: oceans, rivers, lakes, bays, canals, ponds,  and there are waterfalls and dams. Sure thing eh?
Did you know that the province of Alberta once an ancient body of water? It was an ocean in that province! I mean the province was once an ancient ocean! How the hell that province is consist of flat lands now in our generation? Ask the pioneers why. Look at the badlands, and how many ancient creatures were discovered. Those dinosaurs and ocean fossils are the remains of such catastrophic extinction level that happened many million years ago. Anyway, let's hope and pray that our new civilization wont happen that way nor we experience the ELE level. I'm okay with a mammoth elephant though. Clone the mammoth for God sake!

FOOD

You wished it's cooler this time around and it is...outside! It's only 15 dC. today. However, inside the house it is 23 C and I'm cooking so it is really hot.

We'll be having pork chops for lunch with chili sauce, broiled salmon with mayo and spices + steamed rice, and steamed brocolli. Pictures to go with it? Some other time because it is stored in my digital camera with other photos.

However, here are the food we had eaten for the past few days. Only if you are curious.

Pancit ulit? It's a chow mein with ground pork, shrimps, peas, zucchini (from our garden), onions, garlic and spices

We harvested  haricot beans from our garden and steamed the beans to perfection (beans - oregon giants variety)

Oven-baked golden  potatoes with salt, pepper & sprinkle of  ground oregano and chopped cilantro

Harvested few fresh tomatoes from the garden and cooked them with ground beef, beans, potatoes and with bell peppers to spice this meal up.

 Beef adobo. Yummy good!

Once in a month, got to have eggrolls with spicy sauce - sriracha with soy sauce and lime juice

For dessert: Mouth-watering blueberry cheesecake which is absolutely sweet and delicious.

My hubby caught fresh rock cod, deep fried it right away in boiling hot cooking oil. I think like to have cod every week. lol. Just that he was not able to catch salmon last week. He caught big salmons 2 weeks ago. Rock cod and ling cod are good alternative for salmons.

Prawns, onions and mushrooms combi saute' and it is super delicious with oyster sauce.

Story (or stories) to go with these awesome food? Do I have to tell you tall stories to make a point?

What Could Be Next?

Right now, I can hear the wind blowing fast and not so furious. Howling sounds. Great! The weather temp. at this moment is high 24 C. I don't mind if its windy at least there is no known twister in BC. Oh, I remember there was once a very small twister that happened outside our home,  just quick within a glance at the time when Pope John Paul II died. I think it was only me who witnessed that twister. When I went inside the house, my kids were watching an episode of Amazing Race show, suddenly the drinking glass I was holding fell off, in right timing with the Amazing Race when these group of contestants were on safari ride and then suddenly the glass window of their vehicle got broken. Wow! Coincidence or what? Too weird! The next day, the magnets (decor) on the fridge, on our fridge started falling and the hair clip on my hair fell off, well that was weird right? Invisible!

I don't know the connection or what could be happening or what had just happened. It's not part of the Da Vinci Code nor Angels & Demons.

It must be THE FOUNTAIN. lol

I'm not pulling your legs or anything. Anyway, hope that it gets windy and cooler today and the next day and the next day...

Reverse Psychology

There are humans who are looking for the biggest fish while there are certain entities looking for smaller fish.

For God sake! You might really end up with a real FISH.

No pun intended.

Oh my God! I know some people will react to my blogs but you can definitely choose to disengaged, avoid and choose only those people whose minds think alike just like yours. Besides, you probably get bored with some other group of people who are not just boring but narrow-minded beings. If you know what I mean.

Anyway, I have to cool down and let the weather temperature subsides as it is going up again. Let us cool down on this part of the world. We don't need over 20 C temp. When the sun rises, the heatwave can do damage not only to your skin but can cause heatstroke. Beware!

Let us play the "downs" again. It's okay to play dumb just to cool down. The dumber we are, the money arrives. LOL. j/k

Mammoth Sunflowers

Lots of changes now when it comes to weather temperature at the island of Vancouver. It gets dark early at night and still dark at 6 am. Before, the sun rises at 5 am.

The first snowfall happened yesterday in Melbourne, Australia. Winter season approached their continent early or late? Whichever.

Looking out from the inside, through the blinds of our kitchen windows.

More sunflowers bloomed to perfection and so as the white dahlias in harmony with other florals and perennials.

The biggest sunflower from our garden. Right now, the sunflower's size is approximately 21 inches in diameter and still growing its floret disc and expanding, growing its seeds. It's gonna be huge! It's a giant...it's a mammoth!

AUGUST FOR GOLD!

First day of the month of August 2020. Once again it's roof over our heads. So many people born on August, the 8th month of the Calendar Year  and how you celebrate your birthdays depend on the present situation that is very depressing and stressful because of the recent global pandemic that is sweeping the whole world. I don't know when it will end, maybe when they could use the same flu vaccine from last year. It's never too late to use such vaccine.

No matter what, the birthday celebrants will stay to live and celebrate, be happy, be productive and creative. Take every moment every day as precious and important as any day of the month and year. Be thankful, offer some form of gratitude for being alive, healthy and be a part of the global community with a great cause and don't forget to pray for all the blessings you received from God and from your family and friends.

August is the eight month of the year and the weather temperature will surely dramatically change. It can get so cold in the morning and gets hotter in the afternoon. The leaves of trees will start changing its colors from green to yellow, to golden yellow to orange to crimson tide. Well depends on how hot it would be. How fast you want the changes to happen at your place?

August is Autumn. It is the start of Fall season (August, September, October).
