Holly Molly Rolley Of Fun

Our trip to Courtenay is more of a surprise. We were surprised that they didn't have much snow on the road. They plowed the snow out of the road. Or it's just that they have a busy traffic going on the highway that the road is almost as dry like the summer road that we had before. But not on the horizon. The site on the side of the road has more snow and not melted yet. I was able to capture the Black Creek area of course through the help of my camera. Snapping pictures here and there on the way. Black Creek is a farming community with herds of cows, sheep, horses, chicken, goats, and other mammalian species. I missed other views and a group of wild ducks frolicking on the beach along the shore on the way home. It could have been a great subject for my photography. Knowing their feathers with tantalizing depths of colors in peacock blue, teal and brown and mauve will move everyone's vision.

We had a good shopping spree. We bought items that we really need and whatever is on the list. Hoping whoever will receive those presents will be happy enough to express their gratitude. My daughter saw some familiar faces at the department store and it made her smile. But those people cannot seemed to remember or have no reaction otherwise they have blank facial expression. Uhm, never mind maybe they cannot recognize facial images or something. While the man on a visionary rotation checking something within his grasp made some funny reactions and his sign language is somewhat un-comprehensible? Then we heard loads of laughter from the clerks at the Customer section desk office. What sign language is that? Well, you know the American sign language is different from Canadians. What about the Filipino sign language? Must be a difficult one. Ahahahha. Yeah they were playing sort of a bridge I think.

Then somebody from the speaker said something like " Tell us something we don't know about."

In my thought I said, "YOU'RE FIRED!"

Still thinking about missing those wild ducks and albatross which I should have them snap with my camera. Anyway, back at home when there is much snow at the terrace and looking at the dump of snow on our barbecue makes me wanna wish for springtime to come as quick as a snap like magic. Ah, time will tell. So back to feeding my kids thinking I should have bought hamburger and fries at McDo so that there's no need for me to cook on that day. I checked the fridge and saw that there is a food plate of spaghetti good enough for my daughter. For me? I settled for fried egg. To my surprise I was shocked a bit when I cracked the egg on the cast iron pan, the egg starts to spread forming like a ______and that's what you can see on the picture in this blog. Showed it to my kids and asked them what they can see on the plate. Okay they replied the same way. Kinder surprised? The spirit is alive I can tell 'ya right now!

Snowy Winter In Campbell River

Winter Scene In Campbell River Downtown Area

I just couldn't believe the result of these snapshots because I was in a moving vehicle and still the pictures turned out quite amazing. CANON is really that great! It's truly, absolutely a POWER SHOT!!
Thursday is a bit busier for us. School opens up once again and kids are back to school. Their luncheon was postponed last Wednesday so I don't know really what their plans yesterday. I just knew that they had the luncheon set for Thursday instead. That means they didn't go out for a walk to the Willowpoint. It's not advisable with this icy cold weather and the road and sidewalks are slippery. It's much better to stay at school which they preferred anyway. Great!

We're about to go out and shop yesterday when I heard knocking at the door. It was Tammy, the manager of the rows of houses in the street where we reside. She brought us a tin can filled with squares. Baked goods similar to nanaimo bars. The sweet squares have lots of bits and pieces of grounded nuts in it. Whew. She gave us a hug and greeted us Merry Christmas and then hurriedly went back to her 4x4 which is still running and the gas still "pumping." LMAO. She's nice huh and thoughtful too. Darn! I forgot to give her Christmas card. What a dummy I am. We're in a hurry too go shopping 'ya know. We have to buy the items that we saw on the local flyers and we want to get to the place real quick.

At the store, you betcha there's no sight or even a shadow of what we are looking for. The "Jazz" video camcorder is nowhere in sight. Grabe naman! They should have lots of stock for those kind of products. They have another video camcorder but not as good as what we are looking for. So sad. The clerk at the customer service said that the Jazz brand were sold out since Tuesday. It would be such a good gift for my son because he likes stuff like that. Next we're in Staples. I was looking for filter screen for my computer. The clerk said they had one before but probably London drugs have them. Staples should have them not London drugs. You know when it comes to everything like "electronics." Bought couple of memory stick and card for my digital camera. I need lots of them in super mega and gigabytes. I love photography and snapping pictures keep me happy for the time being. It is one fabulous hobby that keeps the stress out. A form of relaxation for tired and weary mind. Shopping helps a lot too that's if you have the budget allocated for shop 'til you drop. Which happened when I was young and not thinking about anything else but me. Now that I'm a Mother of three kids who are wishing for too many things in their wish list, my hopes and dreams are gone forever (?) in time. Oh my God soooo dramatic!

Ten more days and it's Christmas!
I wish that Christmas 2008 is totally, absolutely different from the Christmas festivity that we had. I want something different. More exciting. More surprises! A fun-filled fabulous celebration of the birth of Christ.

Am I too old to wish for gifts? I don't think so. There's every child in one of us. Nothing goes home without any gift. Gifts whether of material things or the thoughts or message that counts. Messages that inspire us. Warm greetings that keep us united as one. For in unity there is strength.

For those whose keeping a grudge its time to forgive and forget. Move on! There's nothing that you can do. You have to forget the past and look on the bright side. If it's too bright out there and its blinding your vision wear sunglasses. Ha ha ha.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

My daughter and I were busy with our art project last night when my cousin phoned from Hong Kong. Seldom that she calls. Only when she feels lonely or when she wants to inquire about something that she was not sure of. It was such a quick inquiry actually. She forgot my home address and she wants to send a Christmas card. How thoughtful of her. She never fail to send us Christmas greetings and she's always on time. I should have told her not to send the card because listening to her voice is good enough. I called my sister afterwards. She phoned my Mother who happened to be telling her stories that she heard long time ago. Sort of repetition. Oh my God! My Mother is having alzheimers? I hope not. I decided it's best to give my Mother a call. But to my dismay cannot get in through the line. Hmm..what happened? It's not busy line as what the operator said. Area code is the problem. Weird huh. I push all the correct numbers and code. I'll try again next time.

While watching the news on TV: Lots of snow in other part of Vancouver Island and Downtown Vancouver area has been blessed with lots of snow. Tons! For the ski and snowboarder enthusiasts this is what they are waiting and praying for. The adrenaline rush to seek the alpine resort and have their extreme winter sports.

With this winter wonderland moment that the VANOC Organization or Committee together with the BC Premier Gordon Campbell, Malcom Brodie -Richmond Mayor and other officials had the Entrance doors opened yesterday. The Richmond Olympic Oval designed especially for speedskating. It is 47,526 sq.m. in its entirety. What a surprise opening! The Mascots were there of course.

It was a surprise! I don't even knew it until I saw it on TV. Good timing that my daughter was having the mascots drawn. But there's one thing that is a mystery. She didn't include one mascot in her drawing. I don't know why.

The VANOC Pictures were taken from our TV
Thanks to CTV for the broadcast

Watching TV surely opens up every opportunity to answer, interpret, explain and give your own assumption on what you understand directly or indirectly. But there are people who watched every news on TV but when asked what that person learns from it there's nothing that person can relate to. What do you call them? But you asked the autistics what they've learned or see from their own point of view they are happy to draw or sketch what they've seen. Although you have to work hard to find out what they've really seen because what the autistics have seen on the screen has probably missed your vision. See sometimes people afflicted with autism have the power to know what is being pitched in is a trick or not. Too many deceiving contents and too many deceptions nowadays. I don't know why. But can you deceive the power of nature? You cannot deceive the natural forces.

I hate when powerful and influential people in the government play their hands on economy especially in times of economic crisis. There's no doubt that there is RECESSION. It's not a laughing matter! It's not a joke. When too many people trusted and invested their money in the investment company they wanna make sure that they are not being fooled and deceived. I am repeating this again because the government can always change the leader of any country. Enough of corruption! Enough of the politicians wearing masks. Enough of changing your names. Enough of playing as if you're Hollywood stars. Really not funny anymore. Go to Hollywood if you want to be Dr. Evil or play Scott Bakulaw if you want. Or you can apply at the Comedy network. The audience will pay your comedy. If you want to copy Blaine and hang up to the crane, mind freak has done that already. 'Ya know nobody's a fool until you let them in the parliament. Unless of course they are building a house for the circus.
If you have some spare time kindly open your World History Book and search for Russian History. Two great leaders of USSR namely Lenin and Joseph Stalin will give you glimpse of what Russia is all about under these two leaders of Russian revolution. It might open up a glimpse of Dr. Zhivago's life and works in those crucial times. The movie Dr. Zhivago is a beautiful movie. I think there is also a book about it. I watched it twice when I first arrived here in Canada. Part of the novel may lead you to conclude Dr. Zhivago as Dr. Rizal. No illusions no gimmick. But it's okay if you would like to contradict. Too many writers would like to have a thorough research about Dr. Jose Rizal. The Germans, the Austrians, even the Japanese. They want to trace his genealogy. To them he is such a mystery. I myself is one of them trying to know more about this very mysterious man. Was he really a man or Jose was really Josephine.

I happened to watch an old, old movie. The story revolves about a woman, a heroine actually. Her story is exactly like the story of Rizal. She was excommunicated too and was executed. In the story she was actually a Jew (Jewish). Was divergent thinking already a trend in 19th century? We should ask Webster then. Nowadays web is the interconnecting web in the internet.

How's life in a garret? Do you know? When there is not much work because of economic recession your imagination runs wild and literary skills are being more emphasize. You always think of something that you don't have.

Have you observe autistic children? There are millions of them now. Too many of them that they don't listen to you anymore because you don't make sense to them.
