Circle or Squares?

Are you part or member of the Circle or the Squares? Let me tell you that the distance between two points is a STRAIGHT LINE. I don't like secrets. I hate liars and people who keep on lying. I like people to be direct and honest. Business and politics don't mix. Religion and politics don't mix either.

My favorite color is blue or purple. However if you see me wearing red doesn't mean I am liberated and when you see me wearing blue color dress you think I'm conservative? The true color of a person is not represented in the color of any clothing it's just that fashion sets the trend to the kind of mood and mode or the availability on what's in the department store.

Whether the blue wins over red it's because it's not about color but the talent and ability of the players that are in the game and they want to win the game. It's not about who they are or the name  they were born with in order to win the game. A player wins or a team wins because they play good without cheating. They played to win the game because the players are talented, qualified and because God want them to win.  Politics should not be categorized as game or an end for gambling but it's always been used most of the time since the birth of Christ. I don't know why. Religion  which is so sacred long time ago also is used to win the game. What's in the game that made so many millions of people magnetized to this kind of euphoria?

My blog is not a game. Blogging is a hobby. I think talented people are hooked to this kind of  blog-writing because it's a therapeutic way of using idle time in a very creative way, rather than wasting on gambling, playing stupid games, and using time in a very manipulative way staring at nothing and contemplating of the past mistakes of the ancient old people and the holes they dug that made the earth crumbly and toxic; at least blogging is a wonderful way of doing something important and valuable to mankind.

Now what? If your dreams turned into dust do vacuum. So many brand new models of vacuum such as: Hoover, Eureka, Dyson, Kenmore, Phillips, Oreck, Samsung, Bissell, Shark, Dirt Devil, H20, Electrolux,  Euroclean.

Never Ending Story

Who said that we don't get to go for a vacation anywhere in Canada? Well, "sometimes" or rather seldom? lol

I have seen the whole of British Columbia from end to end of this beautiful province of SuperNatural BC, down in Alaska (Hyder, Alaska). Alaska is a state of U.S.A. I know that but the border is open that time. We watched black grizzly bears as they hunt for fresh fish on the stream of water. They knew who are "new" or strangers in that area. People knew each other over there.  I have been to the border of California when my husband and I had a visit at Barkerville, BC where we panned for gold. Truly amazing! The setting of that village was presented in 18th Century period. We went to Kelowna, Kamloops down to Jasper only few miles to Alberta. It was at the time that it was so freaking hot over there. From Cache Creek (super hot in that area whew!) to Quesnel, Williams Lake, Prince George, Hundred Miles, to Terrace then to Prince Rupert. We were everywhere as if long driving is just fast and easy with cruise-control Lumina.

We had a chance to visit our friends in Gold River then to Port Hardy. We had a two day tour of Victoria, BC, visited the BC Legislature, took photographs, had a visit at the Empress Hotel for their one of a kind "museum featuring the miniature kingdom or miniature world" and many other worthy important places for sightseeing. That time in 1993, the Crystal Gardens was still open to the public. It was a garden of exotic plants and exotic birds and animals. They had that very strange tiny monkeys, the size of a tiny mouse.

We went to Butchart garden where gardeners kept all variety of plants and flowers in a very organized pattern that you'll be amazed of their existence especially the "tiger rose." My first time to have seen such a species of rose. There was that Japanese garden and still in existence up to today. We didn't forget to visit the "House of Wax" because as you know I'm an avid fan of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana, and the royalty,  rather Monarchy of England. It was great that the Duke Will and Duchess Kate plus their royal family of  Great Britain had chosen British Columbia as their point of destination for royal vacation.

British Columbia is beautiful. It's "huge" of a land that you wont be able to finish to see the whole province in 8 days. You must at least stay for one month to be able to see the whole B.C. British Columbia is so huge to be a province when it's actually too large to be a country.

While Vancouver Island is the sunshine coast, supposedly...but you know that weather can be unpredictable. You can go on a long driving from end to end of this magnificent island in 15 hours, only if you have a reliable vehicle for a thorough sight-seeing from the windows of your vehicle. You might as well ride a helicopter or run a motorboat and view the island through the water. Include whale watching for your one of a kind adventure. The only time I had seen orcas (whales) when I worked at Painters Lodge and from that lodge restaurant you can view whales along the ocean by surprise. Incredible eh? Anyway, we all have different way of seeing the beauty of nature as it passes from one generation to another.

Happiness Is Doing The Same Thing Over and Over Again

Pan-fried salmon. Just these fillet of salmon is great for dinner. However, simple viand is a no-no for some people. Well sometimes it's best to experiment on different ways to entice other members of the family on trying "something different about cooked salmon." Try not to concentrate on baked salmon with mayo or grilled salmon with lemons or lime.

Saute' 1 tbsp. of chopped garlic, 1 chopped onion bulb, a piece of shredded ginger on hot cooking oil using frying pan. Add spices such as chilli powder, curry powder, pepper, dash of salt.

Pour a can of coconut milk, boil and simmer on high heat. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Add 2 leaves of bayleaves (fresh or dry bayleaves if fresh bayleaf not available). Lower the heat after you have added the pieces of fried salmon.

Presto! It's cooked. Taste it before you serve it on the table. Add the right amount of salt and pepper if its bland and if its too salty add a tsp. of sugar.

Bon appetit!
Tit for Tat

COOKING
is the kind of work
that seems like a prayer
You keep doing it
again and again

Officially it's Autumn!

The weather temperature had fallen from 9 degrees celsius. Cooler breeze makes me feel fine. I'm loving cold temperature actually because I don't need to use electric fan or turn on the airconditioning unit. The point that we might use the heater and fireplace when it gets extremely cold is a matter of time.

It doesn't really matter because cooler air is better than hot air. But the most important thing is the presence of water.

Done with dishwashing. FINISHED. Done with housework. Then another day and another day, waking up to another day of housework. It seems the chain never ends. Chain never ends because I'm alive. The chain ends when you're dead!

 When September ends...
It's the beginning of October.

Then I was reminded it's only the 22nd of September 2016. Whatever, I'm thinking in advance of the many feast towards the month of October and how to celebrate them. There's every child in one of us thinking about pumpkins in different shape, color and sizes. Others already hunt for turkeys.

Thank God I have keys!

How sharp is your Vision?

Oh my God! I'm engaged!!!!!!!! LOL. Think of that as huge diamond on my finger. If that's a real genuine diamond then that's the "Wow factor."

It's not diamond! I know the thief or thieves are amazed once again. It's glass! For God sake.

What's Happening At The Grapevine?

Through the grapevines? What happened at the EMMY's? I missed to watch the presentation of Emmy Awards Nite last night. I was able to watch the continuation of the "Fear TWD" Episode : Pillar of Salt, where Madison and Elena have to drive to the Mexican mall to bring the icebox of cold fish in exchange for medicines for Strand who was stabbed by the mother of the zombie bride. I also watched "Foolish Gold" movie starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaghuey.

Sunday, yesterday was a a feast of so many movies old and new. It all started with that old classic " The Sand Pebbles" starring Steve McQueen and Richard Attenborough and Candice Bergen. OMG Candice was so young in this movie and so as Steve McQueen who has facial resemblance with Kevin Costner.

So I heard that Tatiana Maslany won Emmy Awards for Orphan Black and The VEEP won the best comedy awards. The HBO "Game of Thrones" won and what happened to my favorite series? Darn! I first thought one of them will win because the television series that I usually watch are not boring and highly intelligent TV series. Anyway, I think it's about popularity not "substance or mysterious thrillers." Or it's just the opinions of the award giving bodies differ with my opinion. However when it comes to the OSCAR's my favorites always win the awards.

Maybe next time: The Walking Dead, MARVEL Agent of SHIELDS, Quantico, NCIS, Blindspot, Vikings,  and Fear TWD.

Fish & Chips + A Movie

Our telephone's ringing!!!!!!! Wow! I couldn't believe it. LOL. I know it's that period of time when telephone seldom rings anymore since the invention of cellphones and computers that when our phone rings it was such a miracle. Although we have to pay telephone bills every month whether we use it or not, even if we used telephone twice a month or 3x a month.

Hard to believe that eh? But it's true! Landline telephone communication is something we can't lose or taken for granted. It's cheaper or economical compared to cellphones.

What to cook today? Monday is the first day of the week. The weather is cooler and on the 22nd of September 2016 is the beginning of Autumn, officially.

How about halibut fish and chips again? Too expensive! My husband bought 20 lbs. of fresh halibut from a fisherman. The halibut was already cleaned and the fillet of fish was cut according to desired  pieces for storage in the freezer. One piece of fish (7".5 x 6") was left on the kitchen counter for me to deep fry.  A batter preparation is made.

Mix the following ingredients in a stainless bowl for batter:

2 cups of all purpose flour (depends on how many pcs. of halibut fish)
1 tbsp of baking powder
2 tbsp of vinegar (option: 2 tbsp of beer)
1 tsp salt
Don't forget water (2 cups) or just right amount of water to mix the main ingredients. Mix them thoroughly until it thickens for the batter solution. A crumbly halibut fish is great! Or make your own batter mix. Do not follow my recipe because I don't really measure I just know how to mix things without measurement. Tantiado ko na kasi. And make sure not to follow the recipe of other cook or chef.  I tried not to copy recipe from others.

Why fries and the fish chips not that dark brown in color even if the cooking oil is at boiling point? The secret to that is the fryer is clean and the cooking oil is fresh and clean and has not been used yet with other food yet except the ones being cooked at the moment. Fries and fried fish are too dark in color after been fried for few minutes and outcome still raw its because the cooking oil  is old or has been used to fry other food before.

Pour cooking oil on your deep fryer and heat the stove on boiling point before you drop the battered halibut fish (one by one) on the fryer. Always watch what you are doing, don't overcook the fish or a dried fish is not good. Deep frying halibut is similar to "tempura style technique."

Dipping sauce:

1 cup of mayonnaise
2 tbsp of ketchup
1 tbsp of sriracha sauce

Mix all the desired 3 ingredients, blend them evenly.
The chips? Darn, you don't need directions/instruction on how to fry chips eh?
Serve fish and chips HOT.

Then watch a movie. How about THE TEN COMMANDMENTS?

I watched this old movie of Charlton Heston and Yul Bryner. It was an old time classic. The parting of the sea is such a universally acclaimed in the 3Dimension. The special effects used in the production of this epic saga movie is one of a kind. Truly amazing! Modern High Technology is starting to be recognized in Hollywood when this movie was shown in the silverscreen during that period of time. I was in grade school when I heard that movie production can last for 5 years to finish due to technicality. Imagine? Nowadays, filming a movie is only for a matter of six months or within a month due to the many experts in modern  animation. What happened to movie stars? They learned the value and importance of the talented people behind the camera.

Looking For Something Different?

One time, while husband was driving on SIHW and I was peeking through the truck's window and was shocked upon seeing a huge tree grown on one of the yard along the beach. In my thought how could a tropical tree "rambutan" managed to live in this island? It's unbelievable right? Rambutan tree grows on hot climate in tropical countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines. I could be hallucinating or have blurry vision, maybe it was not rambutan. Then while house-hunting in another part of the island I saw another huge tree, probably that tree is 50 years old or older than 75 years old.

The island lies along the Pacific rim and on 50th parallel so maybe this island was once filled with coconut groves before. There are few palm trees that are native to the Middle East and managed to live to the weather unpredictability of  this island of Vancouver. Weird eh?  I remember at one time when a neighbor has that "anahaw tree" at their front yard so there are parts of the island where tropical plants such as hibiscus, bouganvilleas, and cactus will grow as I said at summer time the climate here is hot as hell.

The best of both worlds. Hawaii is another island or inter connecting islands that lies in the Pacific and God knows some small islands are interconnected with other continents. If we're all giants we could just walk all over the islands one step closer to places we want when it gets so hot or gets so cold.

When it's HOT eat something cold. Melona is not that bad for fruit ice-drop. it's delicious. That's my dessert.

For somebody who doesn't like what I cooked for dinner but loves this fresh boiled artichoke with vege-salt.

Breadwinners Deserved The Very Best

This morning's  TV NEWS heard somebody saying, "Thank you, thank you very much!" and I started laughing and I repeated the words ((( Thank you, thank you very much, Elvis Trump Presley)))))

Ha ha ha ha! OMG! Banana sandwich with peanut butter? I haven't try it yet. It must be good. Good for the brains. How's your brain doing nowadays? Are you having bird's brain? According to the book of birds, they have bigger brains and their mind is the best of all. Right! That's why they can fly right? Their field of vision is sharper and sense of perception is more than ordinary humans.

Truth is I don't know what to cook. I'm running out of idea. I would love to cook stir-fry just like what you are seeing on the image down below. Stir-fry beansprout with oyster sauce is good. Know what did you know that nobody's selling the green munggo (mung beans) in any supermarket that I went to search. Superstore doesn't sell munggo, there's no munggo in Overwaitea, nothing in other stores around my community here. What happened? Are they keeping the munggo so that they can produce beansprouts?

 Vegetarian's delight?

No one will eat a stir-fry beansprouts just like that without meat that I pan- fried beef steak with rings of onions.

Beef again? Roast beef is my family's favorite meal for supper with hearty, creamy gravy and yorkshire pudding. We eat too much? My husband worked so hard and my son worked hard together with his Dad that they are being spoiled with great food.

That's what happened... great food for great workers. You should not starve your workers, the people who bring in the "bread" for the family.

Crazy Weather Can Lower Food Intake

It's when I don't feel like cooking at lunch time... then it's best to just have ordinary plain bread spread with butter, mayonnaise, add sliced ham, or sliced beef and havarti cheese.

Have fresh fruits such as grapes and a pear. Sandwich is great at lunch time especially when the weather is hot. Heat is something that can lower your food intake. But drinking lots of fluids is better because you will get dehydrated right away if you don't drink any type of beverage.

The weather temperature is simply unpredictable at this month of September. It gets so low at 11 degrees celsius then it goes up to 23 degrees celsius. Everyday is a hot and cold change of temperature.  For the vulnerable, the unpredictability can cause cold, cough, flu and other minor health problems.

Take care people!

Do You Have "Mole" In Your Group of Friends?

ALL GRADUATES in this house! No one goes to school anymore. If there is something that somebody here would like to know we have a complete set of ENCYCLOPEDIA, the whole set of  NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC from 1950 to year 2001.

Space odyssey? We have computers and laptops and a computer is surely a complete bank of knowledge from the time of the dinosaurs to present time. For religious purposes we have the HOLY BIBLE and to know whatever you want to know COMPUTER carry its own LIBRARY.

Google is my main source  for googling purpose and Facebook is my link to see or chat with my close friends and relatives.

Sometimes my 15 minutes of fame is over once the "black mole" sets it tentacles at Facebook. I don't know what is her motive. I don't know what kind of purpose or aim she hides. She's like a booter I think and I'd rather call her "dirt-dozen booter." Was she really a black mole? Dunno yet but she's my suspect.

Um, what to do now? Prick the freak out? LOL.

It's the 14th and 15th tomorrow so...

For the meantime, it's time to relax and watch CIVIL WAR the movie starring Chris Evans as Captain America and Iron Man Robert Downey Jr.

Food Galore

Breakfast: Choice of Kellogs brand. My son likes it for breakfast. My daughter and I just value our simple breakfast of bagels and coffee, warm milk for daughter.

My husband had strips of crunchy bacon and hot hashbrowns.

Because I always crave Filipino noodles called "pancit" (chow mein) with choice of sliced chicken, pork, mixed veggies: sliced cabbage, cilantro, carrots, shrimps then my whole week is complete. Gotta have pancit once every week.

Beef stir-fry with lots of sliced onions and chopped garlic. Add soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, salt, pepper. I could eat this viand with hot-steaming rice but I have other options not to have rice.

I have that long bread that my husband bought from Superstore and thinking we don't need to go to Subway to have Subway sandwich when I can make it anytime.

Spread mayonnaise on the bread, place the fresh veggie salad (sliced cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes).

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and add your choice of sauce: French's tomatoe sauce or hot and spicy sriracha.

So here it goes... My subway sandwich.

My dinner? My family had roasted chicken with stuffing and hot gravy, steamed corn kernels, boiled potatoes, steamed rice while I had what's on the plate above. Shrimp bokchoy soup is great and the shrimp-egg- tomato omelette is superbly good with sliced bittermelon.

Dessert: Sweet melon and fresh medium-riped pear.

The Search Is Not Over Yet

I couldn't believe that it's next to impossible to find HOUSE for RENT within our community at the island. Too many gorgeous looking houses far away from the place of work. Location is always vital. We can't live in Courtenay and Comox and work in Campbell. But the beautiful, clean homes are located in Courtenay. Tsk! tsk! that's too bad.

There are two houses that are affordable to rent but looks like these houses are "abandoned" or deemed  unfit for a good family. I belong to a good family why should I live in such a "filthy messy house."

I know of a house that we cleaned up and sprayed disenfectant every rooms are sprayed with agua vendita before move-in. It's like a horror movie house. You know house fit for Halloween. We can't find a decent house that time. The house that my husband inherited from his parents was sold within a month. We never thought it will be bought that fast. So we end up biting that old house that looks like a vacation house of the K's down in Martha's vineyard. Looks like it was abandoned. The grass on the front yard and backyard was 2 ft. tall. shocking! for God sake!! Napilitan, no other decent house to choose from. Rent: $1,500/month. 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2 bathrooms, half bathroom downstairs. carpet floors upstairs, laminated floors downstairs. The house was probably 12 to 20 years old and the built is sturdy. At least the toilet bowls are clean. I used disenfectant, bleach, calgon, ammonia, and I used Lysol with hydrogen peroxide for bathrooms and kitchen. Good thing about the house is it  doesn't sway to the wind unlike the houses we rented before. That's the only thing. They used sturdy poles on every corner of the house. It was built to test any storms and flood. Problems: High maintenance!!!!! The hydro is shockingly enough for me to fire missile. Shocking!!!!!! At summer time the heat is suffocating. Looks like there's a broiler somewhere that my blood pressure is so up enough for me to be at the ER. We are being cooked. alive. The use of non-stop electric fan and air conditioning unit is not enough. The heat subsides down at winter. It was hell at summer time in that house. It's great at winter time. Then strangers known as "prospective buyers" keep coming back and forth, the owner wants to sell the house under realty management. Many things were lost such as: lead crystal wine glasses (2),  1 black Swiss Gear with that + symbol logo backpack (brand new), etc.

_________________________________________________________
Announcement: To the one who had stolen the black backpack SWISS GEAR + please kindly return it to us including the documents inside the bag.
_______________________________________________________________

The house was for sale for sometime and the neighbors said that it's back to rental house once again. They could renovate their kitchen and they should add a 4th bedroom maybe to sell it. But the hydro is too much. No one deserves to suffer inside that house. $1,500/rent include the utilities of $1,000 that's crazy! Maybe great for author of books who would like to write the "suffocating ordeal of high blood pressure." or great for sequel of the Nightmare on the Elm Street.

Knowledge Is Power. You Have To Use It Wisely.

U$100,000/annum budget designed to supply a Canadian student on the way to Higher education to College/University?

Hard to believe eh? That's the salary of the President in the US.

People from other countries are shocked! How could that happened? Let say you are in Philippines and you are a medical student or nursing student start your mathematical counting of all the financial supply you received from your parents including daily allowance: bus and jeepney fare, food allowance, textbooks, tuition fees, clothing, shoes, cosmetic, good grooming supply, bags and school supply, and other miscellaneous supply.

Then what happened to your parents?

How many bank loans they had? How many they spared not having new clothes or new shoes except only on Christmas day. How many times their stomach ache or have ulcer because they were on a "diet." How many debts they incurred or borrowed money from their relatives? Do you still have a house? Some parents will sell their house just to keep steady financial supply for their "scholar." Other parents have to go abroad and work there so that they can supply aid in terms of dollars.
Anyway, with all these sufferings, if your "scholar"  has that initiative to help himself or herself without the need to be dependent then the suffering is lesser for parents. SCHOLARS!!!!! They are SMART INTELLIGENT HUMAN BEINGS who are extraordinary when it comes to thinking and reasoning. You are smart, you are very intelligent do you need help from your parents?

What else you need to know?

The firing of missiles? What can you do if they get the burn? How you can save your country from wildfire? How to survive? Humans beings have to survive, even robots need to survive. Depends where your country is located. Stop being a nuisance to your people as if you don't know what is being fired. You know that the pigs can fly now eh?

Ozone layers opening from mid September to October? Do you like to breathe? Who hate radon and carbon monoxide brought in by some stupid industrialists who never follow the law?

REMEMBER

Whether your family is the poorest of the poor in the Philippines, parents must worked hard enough to send their sons and daughters to College. Give them the proper education to succeed and have jobs so that they can get out of poverty even if that leads them to apply for bank loans or sell their house and lot or any property worth selling to send them to University or College. Being educated is the only way to get the job. Unless otherwise if the rich parents has a business of their own and they can employ their kids in their family business without College diploma.

In Canada and the US the way to send children to College is through scholarship grant (being top of the Class in High School, being topnotch athlete in the chosen field of Sports, financial security in the form of bank savings and bank loans, other forms of getting in to University is having rich, influential parents or connections).

College/University life is exhausting here in Canada & the US. It can leave parents high and dry. COSTLY! You are looking at $50,000 to $100,000/year to keep one student alive to survive to educate that person in prestigious university such as in Harvard, Yale, Oxford, UVic, BCIT and you might as well tell your kids to do it on their own. So what happened after that? Since the most studious are foreign students with steady supply of College funds from their millionaire parents from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Europe, America and other parts of the world where millionaires live most Canadian students are helpless. If that's the case of funding students nowadays, better just to use that amount of money for down payment for a house and start the business of leasing apartments/houses to foreign students. Sounds too good to be true?

Well, it's only Thursday, what happened to your strength? The 3rd day of back to school is making it a day to day "feeling at home" to a strange place called second home. Be a keen observant. If you are experiencing anxiety and obstacles in your own land then how much more those foreign students must have felt in a strange land.

The only relax mode for students is being confident in their chosen  Diploma Course. Students who excelled in Mathematics and Science may feel so secured and confident. Students who are so smart and popular and social skills soaring high undeniably the students' best qualifications may find it easy and convenient to  roam around the campus and find friends who are in the same criteria of credibility and being likeable.

Whatever! Just study, learn, explore, inspire and don't forget to laugh and smile. Be friendly but not too friendly and avoid bad vices such as smoking and binge drinking. Most of all avoid promiscuous behaviour. Keep yourself in good health. Avoid all troubles as might as possible. Eat the right kind of food. Proper grooming is good. Keep your secrets to yourself because they probably have Dove, Speed and Old Spice, not to forget better use Colgate.

REMEMBER: You have a family, you have parents who are helping you succeed. They are your close friends, they are your best friends. They are the ones truly the ones who can understand you and whatever needs and guidelines and decision to make, they are   parents, your family is the first and foremost to be asked for advice.

Did You Hear Your Teacher's Voice Loud Enough?

Who is so loud? You voice or your teacher's voice? Did you use all your 5 senses including your sixth sense?

Inside the school, at the classroom every student must listen to teacher's instruction otherwise you will have a problem with communication and doing the task properly.

Can the teacher pronounce the proper words, using the words properly and correctly in order for you to understand the instruction?

How many students in the class room? How big or small is your class room? What kind of communication being used? Most of the time ENGLISH language is the most common language being used in High School and in College unless of course if you are taking French, Niponggo, Spanish, and or Latin. You wont believe that Third World countries used English language to communicate with their students in school. English is their medium of communication.

When the teacher asked the difference about desk and table, is there a difference? Spelling and pronunciation. Meaning? Desk is not an English term. Desk originally a "swedish" word. "Sodesca ne?" Not really a Japanese so but desk is not an English word.   Table is obviously an English word. Desk and table has 4 legs. Desk and table are used for writing. You can lean on it and write on it. You can place your pad paper and write on it using your pen. Pen is best used for writing and pencil is used for drawing. Before you can use computers you must first know how to write and read otherwise you will have problems. Many students passed High School not learning to use pens and their handwriting suffered so much that their skills on handwriting is below Grade One level. However, because they used computers since Kindergarten their knowledge has increased tremendously when it comes to word processing, typing and skills in advance technology is far better than College students compared to other students in other countries.

So, how's your 2nd day? Did one of the teachers ever asked you from what tribe are you? Hey, where you from? Are you from the tribe of ________! ( I know the whole class will be laughing until the end of the school year). Is that great?

You are the sons and daughters of  white Canadians and you were told that you are FIRST NATIONS? Wow! So, automatically that made me true Canadian and I don't need to apply for citizenship. Ahhahahaah! You know that's funny. Totally hilarious! My husband is Canadian. He is blonde, blue eyes! His parents are true Canadian. They owned a logging camp (years ago)  and provided thousands of work for local people from Powell River to Campbell River. So okay that "First Nations" is a way to bully my child to enter into ESL because not too many ESL students in that class. The teacher probably need help. My son is so smart he can help that teacher to exert more skills in her chosen job. There's nothing wrong with "First Nations" they are natives of Canada. They are humans! I am a human being and the people of Canada as I assumed are humans. Are you a human being? Do I look like First nation or natives? I don't mind. I don't mind being called native. I don't mind being called Chinese or Vietnamese. Yeah that Zhang Ziyi type who knows martial arts. But wait, my kind of action star is NCIS Cote Pablo. lol. I'm beautiful! Are you jealous? For God sake! I'm a Filipina! But nobody perceives me that way. I don't look like a Filipina. Ang ganda ko kasi. LOL. They have a different way of looking and perceiving what Filipina looks like and their reputation.

That word "First Nations" bothered my child for so many years and it was only days ago that my son revealed that bullying. I know there are so many bullies out there and some of those who were bullied committed suicide. I know one who did committed suicide. I know... hard to forget that human being who was bullied. How many were bullied? Oh, I know not too many will tell you about the bullying system in this country but PM Trudeau once said he was also bullied. So who are the cowards now?

Tuesday Is ChooseDay

How's your day? Did you have fun at school today? How's your teacher and classmates? How are you today?

Return to school could be pleasing and dramatic for so many students who are away from their comfort zone while the rest of the students who knew their teachers and classmates from previous years because their return to school is as comforting as being in a second home. For the many newly arrived students from different parts of the world going to school could be exciting, scary because of the new environment and surroundings, or simply because being in a new country, new people to deal with when you lack social skills is a huge problem because of the traumatic experience you dealt with because of war, family problems, and other problems of disability.

Don't worry! Everyone deals with the same kind of problem such as anxiety. You may never know but educators, teachers have problem to deal with  in front of students and their parents. How they can be of help to the students and how their student plan will increase their knowledge and how the volume of students, how many of them in a classroom will fit in to the space allocated in a class. How many loads and payloads to take.

Teachers and educators Vs. students how they will interact in the education plan set up by the government. There are rules and regulations to be followed. You are not a renaissance man you are an educator trying to help your students succeed and first day of school is the so called "first impression day."

Dress like you are ready. Are you ready? Dress to impress, good grooming is first and foremost. You can't talk on first day? You are very shy as in being introvert but you look stylish, clean, smelling good and grooming is excellent...right there you impressed everyone of us. Sometimes you don't need to talk, being quiet doesn't mean you don't know nothing. It's just you are being mysterious and mystery sets the trend. For now...

The next day what? Listen carefully. Be attentive at your class. Always pay attention and listen to one and only >> your teacher. Your focus is to LEARN and you will learn.

FEAR

Done with housework today. Just basic dusting of cabinets, tables and chairs plus vacuuming of carpet and living room set (sofa, couch, recliner). I do that kind of task almost everyday and consider that an exercise. My normal work at home is actually cooking, baking, and what could be the best thing that a good mother does for children? Do I need to be dramatic?

I want to be dramatic but truth is I am more than a comedienne. Can't help laugh at everything ridiculous, even if they are sarcastic or monotonous in nature. I will laugh at something even if its not funny. I'm a happy person that's why. Are you happy?

Dog, what else is new? LOL. Hours from now is the most awaited "Fear The Walking Dead or Fear TWD"  for short. So, the next episode would be the event leading to annihilate all the zombies at the grand hotel where Madison, Alicia and Strand stayed for the time being that they can't find Nick. Their yacht was stolen or taken by the Mexican Coast Guard. What could be? Then on the other part of Tijuana, Nick was medically treated by the pharmacist at the small farmacia in the slum-area populated by survivors and outside the gate was a group of zombies waiting for their next victim to be devoured for their meals. Here's the big question whether Nick could end up a zombie or the medicine that the pharmacist would help prevent Nick from being a victim of the dog's rabies. Well, if the evil dogs have rabies and if Nick had no inoculation or no rabies vaccine was given to him certainly he'll turn like that of evil dog, drooling with rabid saliva. He seems immune from the zombie blood you think he'll be safe from rabies?

How's your dogs and puppies? Are they good and had health insurance? Are they groomed and vaccinated? I heard vaccine for dogs could be that expensive range from $65 to $100, well depends on the dog's species and or  breeding.

I had this on "draft mode" yesterday then suddenly the computer automatically shut down. Blah! Anyway, did you enjoy the Fear TWD where Chris and Travis had to deal with new cast of teens ready to fight the zombies? However, Travis do not trust this groupie. Alicia met the manager of the hotel they were staying who helped her out from the elevator where she was dangling through the cable and the tactic of entrapment began as soon as they can escape from one suite to another.

Days To Remember

Lorne brought home fresh apples from the apple orchard, nobody wants it. My children are not fruit eaters. I don't like apples either. I don't mind if its baked into apple pie, fritters, or wrap it with eggroll wrapper as in turon (deep fry), a Filipino pastry.

Or combined and mix the cubed apples with the rest of mixed fruits for fruit salad, sweetened with condensed milk and nestle' cream. That will do. Otherwise the bite for this kind of succulent fruit may hurt anybody's tooth so better not eat it fresh.

Apple is the symbol for knowledge and the famous wise saying: "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Really?

The PEARS group don't see it that way.

SEPTEMBER 2016 the weather temperature is cooling down. 15 degrees celsius today. Thank goodness and I'll be happier if the weather temperature cools down to 10 degrees celsius.

LABOR DAY on Monday September 5. Holiday for the workers and non-workers. For the non-workers you think everyday is holiday? I think people who are not paid are working more than the regular common workers. I'm a thinker so I used my brain every seconds of the day and I'm not even paid for my idea and opinion. How sad madam tussad. He he he! GOD knows I work everyday and I'm not paid for being a lobbie, anyway, so glad I can help so many people "mentally."

SEPTEMBER 6 is the start of the School Year for Canadian students. I know,  your vacation is so short and wishing students have all the necessary school supplies and prepared for their school work. Yup, students are workers too. They work in a very different way. Keeping yourself busy studying and learning is WORK. The energy to do things is WORK.

SEPTEMBER 11 is PATRIOT DAY in the U.S. it is also the birth anniversary of Philippine's hero the former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. He is a HERO and if you have doubts about his heroism then I assumed that you are not a true Filipino. ONLY TRUE  Genuine FILIPINOS knew Pres. MARCOS.

SEPTEMBER 22 is the beginning of AUTUMN. Yey! Beautiful fall colors. extraordinary Foliage. Autumn leaves falling on the ground, the scenery of bright red, orange, yellow-orange, evergreen and peach colors of the forest and the horizon adds a delightful, exciting warm ambiance of great background. Beyond compare scenic view that every enthusiastic photographer would love to expect, experience and explore their creativity and skills.

OCTOBER 3 Rosh Hashanah a Jewish holiday. Deep inside me I am a Jewish. Wishing and wishing...

OCTOBER 10 Thanksgiving Day is Turkey Day

OCTOBER 12 Yom Kippur

OCTOBER  31 Halloween

Where To Live?

It's true that it is impossible to find a decent, clean house for rent in the city where I live. There are too many houses for sale at staggering tag price of  $400,000 to $ million dollar priced homes. Who can afford half million dollar homes? Even politicians and movie stars wont be able to afford owning such pricey homes. That sometimes the banks end up owning them. ?

Now what? A tenant called that she will have to vacate the unit in the townhouse and when my husband asked her to submit a written notice to end the tenancy that she will move out on that particular day or date which of course written notice is much needed as in rules and regulations taken into account that good agreement is followed. Then today she changed her mind. OMG! My plans are then put on hold. I would like to move to the townhouse because we are to downsize. It's time to economize and the townhouse is close to all amenities such as: College, schools, inconvenience store, shopper's mart, church, hospitals and clinics.

While the house we are living in is closer to the bike trails, rural farms, too far away from supermarket (25-30 minutes drive to get to the nearest shopping mall) and far, far away from clinic and hospital. The nearest convenience store is 5 minutes drive however to get out to the highway from the subdivision takes longer than 5 minutes because of busy traffic, vehicles on the left and right of the road sometimes can get to more than 10-15 minutes to get in to the best lane.

What now? I searched the internet and there are only few available houses for rent and they are not the kind of house I would like to move in.Other ads are sort of scam or hoax. Tsk! tsk! Please post reliable ads. I don't like being scammed again or being a victim of scam.

Relax Lang Basta Marvel

Breakfast : Zucchini muffins and hot  VH coffee

Lunch:  Panfried salmon with chili hot sauce, steamed jasmine rice, stir-fry mixed veggies, sliced tomatoe with sprinkle of vegetable salt and parmesan cheese and thin slice of cantaloupe.

Supper? I don't know yet. It's only 12:39 nn and I'm relaxing right now from my hearty lunch. I ate too much. lol.

Hours later:

Dinner:  Tender loin pork roast with special stuffing, buttered garlic pasta with lots of spices, mushrooms, onions,  and chopped parsley and coriander plus fresh garden salad with italian salad dressing.

Day's complete! Then the new refreshing menu plan for tomorrow once again.

Dessert? Do I need a dessert? We have a cheery cherry pie and vanilla ice cream. However, the food is too much and I have problem breathing right now.

Thanks be to God for the wonderful meals that I cooked today, everyday and for the next days. Ciao! Hasta la vista!!
