End Of The Month - January 2021

 End of the month once again. Bills to pay, rent to pay. I hope our TV/Telephone/Internet bill is much lesser this time because we asked to cut off at least 3 (group) channels that we don't need for our TV. I like that TFC channel but when certain drama series started acting up as "staring" for 2 minutes at each other without script then that FB!!!!!! You are just wasting my time and time of those viewers paying for such drama. Wasting time and wasting money for those actors and actress na "titigan na walang hanggan?" For God sake!!! Get a room please !!!!Take that off the air. $30 off from the bundle $ 300/month. If I can just choose the channels that we only watch every day but it's a group channels that are part in the "bundle."

OMG! MY high blood rising up. Now you wonder why I like watching American movies, shows and series. Recently, I watched the sci-fi, comedy/horror movie SPONTANEOUS. It's worth it. WARNING: SHOCKINGLY Explosive!

I once saw an advertisement in newly-built condos within our community and they offer free internet connection and free wifi for one year. Wow! I told L we should move to that condominium so that we can avail of its FREE internet for one year. lol.

Our grocery bills is much, much lesser than last year because L is the one shopping since the pandemic. He's probably happy that he gets to shop without me buying clothes or shoes. That's right! Once a year (only on Christmas) would be my chance to purchase clothes. What if I wish that everyday is Christmas? I end up cutting not so old dresses and altered them into "new ones." Economically being thrifty now.

Just like what I'm wearing now in this picture. 

When it comes to groceries, how in the hell you can be thrifty? The price of goods never really deflate rather the price of commodities are high and it wont go down to the point of  acceptable to majority of consumers unless of course if you visit your local supermarkets every day and check every time that the price of goods are marked down. There are times when goods are discounted on flyers but not at the stores or not computerized (thr. cash register mark downs). Anyway, that's their problems not mine.

Hydro is always high and gas much cheaper? Hydro electric power. HYDRO (HIGHdro). What if its HYDRA? Ha ha ha! I saw a woman dressed like hydra before. Darn it. First thought she's part of MATRIX the movie.What about  Gas power. Strategy is to unplug appliances when not in use. Can you do that? Turn off the lights and open your windows. Off your TV when you are not there to watch. Washing your hands frequently as if you are letting go of the precious water down to the stream and river and lakes down to the ocean so that the rest of the world can benefit from the gold water is really a conspiracy theory. ? Eh? Just take a bath. It's not only your hands you should protect against virus. FGS. More handwashing as if you are compulsive poncius pilate. Hand sanitizer is good enough after 15 seconds of handwashing. Don't let the water runs freely from the tap when brushing your teeth. Fill up your drinking glass with water and off the tap. DENTAL CARE is very important. Maybe you don't smell your breath but somebody else does. You cannot always wear face mask for the rest of your life. Dental care in Canada is expensive. One human being can spend at least $10,000 for dental care per year in Canada. Will you spend $10,000 to $20,000 for dental care? WATER IS GOLD? To add Listerine and Colgate? Whatever.

There are good bacteria! Sure!! There are bad bacteria! When you kill the good bacteria your body is susceptible to any kind of illness. I'm not trying to be smart. I am naturally smart. Ha ha! (Just that don't feel like being smart nor being intelligent). (Look at what happened to Einstein... you don't want to have cerebral hemorrhage). You don't like to end up like Roosevelt with cerebral hemorrhage. You don't want a spontaneous combustion. No way.

WATER IS GOLD. Everyone loves water. As much as possible they want to steal your water. Aliens love water too. Watch  V the movie. lol. OMG, my sense of humor. If my humor is different from yours, don't worry about it because it's not your fault. It's not your fault and you wont create an earthquake. happy now?

WE run out of coffee today that L hurriedly purchased two boxes of Van Houtte. Non- decaf is better than decaf, for sure.

Last but not the least, dinner time: Deep fried halibut with chili sauce, beef menudo-curry, steamed jazmine rice and steamed brocolli.

Just Keeping Busy

I first thought it's sour because of its color green but this kind of grapes is superbly sweet and delicious.  

Fresh fruit and looks like handpicked from the nearest garden from the island's local vineyard and distributed to local supermarkets and hubby bought those grapes. There are several vineyards located in our community. How I wish we can plant our own grapes. 

Then husband said we have our own berries here at the garden. That's true. Berries such as: strawberries, loganberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. But grapes are different from those berries.

Thinking of gardening at very early January? Wow! Why not? Look outside and the snow has melted.

What I have accomplished in sewing in previous days.

Two camouflage shorts: one pair of shorts for my husband and one pair of shorts for me of course.

Nice outfit for gardening or for fishing.
 

Just trying to keep myself busy away from the troubles that pandemic has set us to believe everyday from the past 365 days.

I'm looking forward for the next episodes of THE WALKING DEAD series, HOUSE medical series, THE GOOD DOCTOR, 9-1-1 & 9-1-1 LONE STAR, SEAL TEAM and CALL ME KAT + MACGYVER + BIG BROTHER CANADA.

One Of Those Days In January

 

My hardworking husband was in and out of the house because he looks after townhouses and apartment and make sure that industrial salt was sprinkled on the ground. If the ground needs shoveling of snow out of the way then he will do the best he can to keep the hazards away out. Those tenants are very lucky eh? He came home after a well job done in those two buildings and  had a cup of coffee. I told him to take his lunch first but he hurriedly went out again. I asked why he needs to get out again. He didn't answer and I just concluded that maybe because of those two  boxes that were delivered days ago and he must install these light fixtures on every units for that apartment, to install draperies, and maybe to do some paintings. Keep tenants safe & happy.

 

He never runs out of work at a time when he's ready to retire. It's an essential work. It's not a high-paying job but he works just to provide for his family. He worked for the pulp mill before as a supervisor and was a manager for stevedoring company as manager and those occupations are much better but most pulp mills had closed down and shut down after the millennium. You know... the sign of times. 

Factories, industrial and other employments that they thought the source of pollution (land, water, air, space) are being shutdown because of the environmental protocols (Copenhagen, Tokyo, Paris). Who are the polluters anyway? Humans and animals are major polluters. Think about that. We are living in the world full of nonsense.

With the pandemic, everyone is suffering and hurting. Who is not suffering? Would you like to suffer?

Winter scenery...

Oopsi...predator!!!!!! ha ha ha, just kidding.

The hummingbird came to visit as fast it could fly, like a flash ... glanced at the feeder hanging from the roof's gutter and gone. Hey, I have to take a picture of you hummingbird! WTH! Yeah, that real fast like a FLASH, the hero... to never seen again and maybe it will return when I'm not doing my observation. Very sneaky.

I'm always doing my observation, that's right! Maybe, I'm a version of female Galileo. j/k. I'm a keen observant. I can read your minds. I can read animals minds and behaviours. I can read what is being posted and broadcast in the news as code. Luma na yang code nyo. It's broken already. AC/DC broken na yan noon pa. Luma na rin yan. Morse code lumang-luma na rin yan panahon pa yan ni Mahoma. Luma ka na rin magbago ka na. Think that you are not the only smart human on earth. Not all scientists are smart they love to gain profit too, (so they are very, very clever) from these political inspired pandemic. Doctors and nurses died from covid. Okay that's probably true. Are the news network benefiting from the pandemic? Ha ha! Siempre, sila ang unang-unang benefactor of this stupid covid. Believe it or not. No journalist ever die from covid as of now. Uhm, that's really mind boggling.

Can you die from talking? Can you die from cold? Can you die from radiation from your computer?

Can you die when all planets are aligned in a straight path and the electro-magnetic field are in a crucial path to destruction?

The left-over bean vines from summer of last year, the clematis and the swisschards covered with snow. Know what? there's not enough snow to make a snowangel and snowman at our place. It's not that I'm praying for more snow. Who love snow anyway?

I'm done sewing with a beautiful fashionable top (blouse) using this fabulous material on the photo (above & below). Poly-cotton-spandex rib-like fabric and satin jacquard fabric with gold motif. I don't know yet when will I ever wear such blouse.

The angel ornament is a gold-plated brooch with genuine crystals and amethyst.

My sister gave me a gift certificate from Fabricland and Cash $$$ from my husband (birthday gifts) so I might go shopping there sometime before Springtime. I might get busier when the right time comes eh?

Sewing, sewing, sewing.

A while ago, I gave my husband a haircut. He needs a hair trimming again and this is the second time I cut his hair. Of course there are other things that will keep me busy aside from blogging, sewing, photography, cooking, baking and watching TV & Movies. 

The weather: Cold, snowy winter scene at 3 C.

Supper time: We had roast pork (lechon) with gravy, steamed vegetables, steamed rice and steamed potatoes. Awesome! I love the crunchy pork rind with spicy chili sauce.

And I almost vomit when I watched that 9-1-1 LONE STAR episode when "hot asteroids" (molten rocks) from volcano had fallen on those victims and their skins looked like crunchy lechon. WTH!!!!!!!

Tonight, my daughter and I will watch the 10 PM show/series THE GOOD DOCTOR. I wish they change the time schedule for this medical  drama because 10 PM is just too late and I get so sleepy already at 10.

 The cold, snowy weather didn't upset me to prepare and cook for my family. Although the kind of viand is mostly "the same" as previous viands before, my family love this cuisine. Chinese/Filipino food and Italian food are always on top of the list. 

Anyway, one of those days that being busy is really getting BUSY. 

I must believe that being a cook or chef is one of those occupations that must be appreciated, rewarded, awarded, respected and praised not just for that one very special occasion.

Well, I'm so glad that tomorrow is another day and let's just move forward, onward with great faith, with great hope, be fearless, joyous and most of all HAPPY THAT EVERYTHING's GONNA BE ALRIGHT.

 I woke up at 4:30 AM, excited to see if the snow had fallen on the ground. No. What happened? Don't tell me the weather forecast is wrong? I was disappointed and went back to sleep. Then I woke up at past 8 AM, husband arrived from his grocery shopping. I started to prepare and cook for our lunch, then I glanced outside from the sliding glass doors...hmm, finally snowflakes started falling slowly, then rapidly fast until the ground is immaculately blanketed with white snow. The rooftops, the ground, the bushes, the trees, the vines, branches and leaves of every trees (maples, oak, willow, douglas fir, spruce, ash, cypress, and pine) are covered with snow. It would be nice if the snow had fallen on Christmas day instead. It's okay, I don't mind. Sure thing is... it is still a lovely day! lol.

I was halfway to my preparation and cooking of our viand when my daughter was kind of upset about something. It turns out her computer is having a malfunction or getting haywire (first time it happened on her laptop though) and she was so sad and feeling restless. I asked my husband to fix her computer. He doesn't know what's wrong with it. So I asked her brother to fix her computer. It can't be fixed. It was not disconnected from the internet but looks like it's "frozen." Why? Just because it snowed computer connection get frozen? Weird. Even if the snow is 3 ft. tall in height in this part of the island, computer connection never get disconnected here. So this strange situation is something unfamiliar. I checked on my computer and the "situation" is the same. I checked the connection and it is connected to the internet but why it doesn't connect? We're fully paid every month to the internet provider so why this is happening? There was a message on the computer screen...  OMG! I think her pc had just crashed. Those ANGRY BIRDS are really crazy!

She - my daughter  gets too bored so easily. Who wont be? Last year was the most boring year and today, you think it's not boring? I hope it wont be the year of the boredom this year. 

We had picture-taking after lunch. I shoot several photos of me and my daughter. 

 

She's not smiling. She frowns a lot because she is still upset about not able to use her computer and play the game: Angry Birds where she scores up to 17 Million +.

I told her we can watch the horror, supernatural movie "Underworld: Evolution (starring Kate Beckingsale). We're supposed to watch it last night but too gory, too gruesome and I wont be able to sleep. Instead we watched "Dante's Peak." At least, it's about volcanic eruption not about deadly vampires and killer wolves.

Husband came home from work and rebooted the TV/Internet  connection and finally everything's fine. Uhm, weird. Could it be magic or wizardry? Heraldry-Chivalry or whatever you call it?

Whatever. Let's play CLUELESS.

UPDATE: My sons fixed the computers. They are tech smart. We don't need to send those computers for fixing at the department store nor buy new computers.

How To Keep Busy In This Very Annoying Times & Year Of The Iron Bull?

 I'm always busy with something. There is always something to do. Thinking is also part of that special task especially if you have a blog. Thinking & Planning. You always want to have non-repetition of anything you blogged from the past nor in another form of blog format nor in another website. Repetitive consequences and repetition of annoying contents. Although so many of you out there love being annoyed. Annoyance seems to be an integral part of everyone's life nowadays. I don't know why.

Sarcasm for so many of us tend to make us laugh because it is annoying but at the same time it is funny. Two different emotional outburst with conflicting outcome. 

I have so many ideas and opinions in my mind but I cannot use them for personal gains because it's evil. Imagine that? It is evil to do something that makes money because you know of some bureaucratic laws and rules. Why not we just live in the monastery? lol. Nevertheless, some of those bureaucrats would be the ones doing the disobedience of the law because they have the means and it's easy for them to do it. Let them do it and pay the price. 

Anyway, better get busy with something else...

Return to sewing: Four days of sewing tops (trendy blouses) to keep me busy. One "top or blouse" per day.

Time passes by quickly when I'm doing this task every day sometimes almost forgot that I have other household chores at home such as: cooking, housecleaning, laundry, ironing clothes. 

I'm so glad that my daughter helps in the kitchen now. She can cook simple viands, of course with guidance from me. 

 This is what she cooked, "shrimp chopsuey."

I also taught her how to make eggrolls and how to deep fry them.

Eggrolls are stuffed ground pork, chopped shrimps with veggies wrapped in eggroll wrappers. Awesomely delicious!

Still curious on what the stuffing looks like?

Stuffing (Ingredients for Eggrolls): Ground pork, chopped shrimps, garlic, chopped onions, shredded or thinly sliced cabbage, celery and carrots, chopped cilantro, salt, pepper, soy sauce.

Hair Resurrection

The vibrant lime green color of the bougainvillea leaves made me want to take photos of them so many hundred times. I was amazed of its growth because at winter time when so many of its leaves had fallen on the floor and now look at this amazing plant. Although no blossoms of flowers yet...

 I told myself,  this is the moment I have to shoot some photos of me in its background.

Then I noticed something on my lower lip. What's that? I don't have a cold sore. That could be something to do with my Revlon lipstick and the reflection of the light. I was not stung by a bee. Honest. There's no bee nor yellow jacket at winter time and no insect inside my home. 

Without lipstick...

Yup, it's the reflection of light passing through. However, I noticed that I need to dye my hair again.

Dyeing is such a sweet sorrow.

Axis of Evil Stuck In A Certain Way Which Benefit Who?

 Many of us have no normal lives anymore because of the pandemic. Almost a year of the non-stop news of the virus that never seem to stop. I think it wont go away until something has been "met up." This virus is like a "ransomware." It's like a case of ransom. I don't like to be politically correct. Maybe I'm wrong. I cannot be honest nor true or correct with my assumption simply because everything must have proof of evidence.  Who am I anyway? Where to get those proof and evidence?

If we're to use the word "psychologically" to make things possible to end the malady of such case what should we do to really END this agonizing case per case? Millions of cases. Whoah! So unbelievable. How the next of generation can understand this humiliating pandemic? Who to blame? Who will stand out in history and who will have the guts and courage to explain the honest, true account that millions of people died from this coronavirus? At a time when astronauts already landed on the moon and astronauts living in the ISS (International Space Station). When missiles upon missiles and spacecrafts already been sent so many times up in space, and weather and climate can be changed dramatically without the help of prayers but by scientific innovations.

It's hard. It is difficult to understand and explain for the next generation to come. Just like the Influenza of the 1918 - 1919, which led to NAZI regime and up to World War II. Millions of Jews died from that incredible holocaust. The worst ethnic cleansing!

After hundred years, the influenza came back with a vengeance. Don't tell me that when planets are aligned in a certain weird spectacular way, when planets get stuck to its axis on those double numbers a diablo is resurrected? Rhesus? OMG! Somebody is monkeying again eh? LOL. No, stop it, not a laughing matter. But, what do you think will happen in the year 3030? I wonder if there will be coconut trees in existence on planet earth.

I had watched a very old movie about a certain village located in a very remote place of the world. The population is low and everyone never really grow old. However, the leader of the village or that community knew the age of the population. There is one drastic rule they must adhere, obey and follow. If one of their inhabitants turned 100 years old, or group of 100 years olds had reached their prime age of 100, they are to be sacrificed. Even if they don't look old nor they are healthy. If they reached 100 years of age they must "retired for life and rest for eternity to never be seen in that village." Weird movie eh? However, when those smart, healthy 100 year olds started disobeying their leader and escaped from that paradise and suffered a different inevitable consequences. JUST A MOVIE! It's fiction. I repeat it was a movie. OMG! Nowadays we have to double repeat that what you are writing is product of fiction. Not real and it's not based on facts. Whatever. I just watched that movie but created impact.

So if you have seen the movie PARASITE (produced by Koreans) and garnered lots of awards from Hollywood, do you think the novel CORONAVIRUS from China could make a killing once it made into movies? Yeah, just like the CONTAGION movie. Heh! Enough trying to scare the people.  I think we should ask the news reporters if what they are newscasting or reporting is the HONEST TRUTH based from facts or just product of their imaginary minds. Because how many in the past when news reporters suddenly blamed themselves for the fabrication of lies and then blame themselves too for having bipolar syndrome.

But you know, the benefit of cleaning yourself, cleaning your hands, keeping yourself healthy (physically and mentally fit). Keeping you safe from harm. Protecting yourself from strangers and keeping you aware not to kiss or hug strangers (people you don't know) and most of all keeping you safe from promiscuous behaviour. Of course you don't want the repeat of sodom and gomorrah (Holy Bible story).

So, more spitting of saliva, more millions of swab tests for DATA BASE that could bankrupt the Health Care System. Just like the GATTACA movie, wherein it's easier to get employed because your DNA is part of the world's database and easier to catch the criminals too. That's how it is done. NEXT? What's next? Scientists are laughing all the way to the bank eh? OMG!!

What if those scientists are actually the criminals and switching DNA test with another human being?  Like Dr. House switching his urine sample with another mentally-ill patient. Then turned out the mentally ill man actually had syphilis and that's how the diagnostic team found out that Dr. House had syphilis. Ngek! Long story. Just watch HOUSE, the medical series. If you are switched at birth, do you think your DNA has cheated on you? Or will a wicked, vicious human being switched laboratory test with another human being just to make sure he can be employed or gain access to whatever he wants to accomplish in life? Or you switched your educational attainment with somebody else? Too many of those controversial cases and who else will do that? Who ever has access to the data base of course.

Can somebody switched my computer data base to somebody else and knew what I'm writing here? Know what? I'm typing here and whatever comes out from my brain (mind) has no copy (?). Memory, memory.

I'm writing to the dictates of my own mind and conscience. I can write in any other form without use of my computer. In other words, my mind, my brain is my own computer. You can steal the info here but my mind has all the information and its my own data base. Thank God, I don't have alzheimers yet.

I think we all should believe science-fiction movies. James Watson thought so too.

Shock Value

 I had a nightmare last January 6, 2021 (early dawn) but rather would like to keep that off the record simply it's not really a good dream as it was a nightmare. It has shock value of course.

Speaking of shock value as more and more people talked about what happened in the Capitol Hill as if it was the most shocking revelation ever, nor ever been seen anywhere in the world haven't watched the movie OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN and movies NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and many other zombie movies. That could be ZOMBIELAND TRIPLE TAP.

You know what happened in Philippines during the Marcos regime and after Pres. Marcos and his family was  mobbed by rioters at the M. Palace? You have no idea what mobsters and gangsters or thugs are. Who instigated the violent riots after riots? You wont believe they were not punished, they actually were voted and elected for office. Would you believe? See what injustice can do? What lies ahead? Who are the liars and who are powerful and influential? Who are demigods? 

Just like what Ewan McGregor asked in Angels & Demons? "What is for God?" Then he set himself on fire.

Now, that the sun is shining brightly up there, it is a lovely day.

So, let us assumed that what happened in the Capitol Hill is just a part of the scenes from zombie apocalyptic movie. Forget about it. You know the witch hunt is not over yet. lol.

So Dark... It Feels Like Medieval

 

It was days ago when I found time to do some sewing. My sister gifted me a black square pants last Christmas and had to do the alteration because the pair of pants kind of longer in measurement. Just as when I'm finished sewing there is that urge of me wanting to sew again. That's what it is with me when I start with something have to do it again and again and sewing is one of those hobbies that resonates with keeping busy. Stay away from all the troubles and from all the gossip. Stay away from bad news.

No bad news? Off the TV? LOL.

The lights went off! 

I gathered all the candles I could find. 

Only two candles. ? What? I first thought I have dozen candles in the cabinet.

 

The lights off, power shutdown and don't know when it will come back. Goodbye computer (for now) Husband took the stove burner from outside porch and placed it on top of the kitchen counter. I have to clean the stove as it was there outside weathering the storm for days, for many  months actually. We might use it when power is cut off for sometime eh? Hey we are paying electricity religiously. We pay gas even if we don't use it.

I wonder if the generator was still in the storage. Maybe will use it if the power outage will last longer than days or weeks. The storm is not that heavy to cause the power outage though. Was there a fallen trees or fallen electric post? What could be?

Suddenly, the fireplace lighten up. Ghee, the moody fireplace had its flames. So my daughter and I stayed at the living room until the electric power returns. 

Uhm, hours before the Junior Hockey game sets in... that's coincidence? 

Something fishy is alarming you know. That if someone or somebody feels like they are being cheated then you know that there is cheating. It takes one to know one or know something when something is real fishy. Ha ha! Fisherman's wharf.

When it comes to vaccine with 95% efficacy or 94%  efficacy and safety then believe it.

Nothing is 100% in accuracy, safety, secured and perfection  in anything unless if  there is divine intervention. Just believe, dare to believe that something really happened for a reason and move on.

How to be a saint? If you have spare time, read the biography of Bernadette Soubiros. How a young, humble, compassionate human being like her became a saint? Maybe just like Saint Joan of Arc you must be a visionary. You must have visions of the future and you have personal access to God. That the Lord our God intercede and had divine intervention to make things happen.

How can things, event and miracles happen in our time? How you can change the weather? Always been accompanied by scientific interventions. Always it is connected through the power of natural forces. How powerful you are? How can you know that a human being has the power?

Fishy as it seems, dare to believe that access to everything, all of everything in this planet earth has something to do with ions, atomic particles connected to one another.

How one person is connected with another person? How things happen? Good people connect themselves and bad people connect themselves together but somehow in this togetherness or unified group another individual act alone as different from the rest of the group as if disfranchised. So many of that story is represented in Bible stories, in many million of movies. Just like haywire atoms and just like virus. Just like Judas who acted alone to make the prophecy happened that Jesus Christ will be crucified and resurrected. Without Judas, do you think Jesus will be nailed to the cross? Why Judas? He was chosen by Jesus Christ to do it. Simple story. You don't have to nail yourself to the cross or hang yourself from the tree.

Everything happened for a reason. As I said there is that connection that connect atoms and human beings are made of atoms too. If humans have no skin covering to their vital organs what could be happening? Crazy? You cannot understand? Darn it. You failed biology, chemistry and physics! Now I know that you failed!

What now? Cover your eyes. Cover your ears and cover your mouth. Pretend that you don't see nor hear what's happening. In all these turmoils and chaos, the natural forces always act out in connection to what should be happening as the ultimate goal.

Get Over With It

The lights went off. The fan suddenly stopped rotating its plastic blade. The computer still works for a while and then the screen blackened and off. Power outage! WTH!

Then the fireplace abruptly comes alive! The flame appears with a vengeance. Huh! 

WEIRD! It's not karma. It's just timing. Obviously sort of purposely done by clever humans.

Please don't do it suddenly like that. Hmm...

Today is the birth anniversary of Saint Joan of Arc. Maybe you know her or you don't. It doesn't matter.

Remember what Bill Murray said? IT DOESN't MATTER  if you don't know everything.

It doesn't matter if you are not among the chosen ones. You don't want to be the first ones esp. when it comes to vaccination. j/k

It doesn't matter if some people are wiser but unkind.

It doesn't matter if some people are mean and or feeble-minded. They will all suffer with fleas and tick bites. lol. oopss joke, joke.

I hate watching the news on TV.

By the way, the lights were ON after an hour of power outage. Just testing the people's patience.

Patience is such a virtue you know...as always.

What suddenly changed the weather? CIRCUIT can change the weather. Lots of financial capabilities can change the weather and climate. The WIND can change the weather.

WATER

 Our fireplace gets moody too! LOL. Hard to believe that it only wants to get heated or have the flames when it needs too even if we are paying the gas company. Even if we don't use the fireplace for heating, even if the fireplace is off during springtime and summer time and fall season we have to pay the gas company every month. Now that we need more flames in the fireplace there's no flame and heat there. We have to turn on the thermostat (electric) for heating the house. Good that it's only 7C today. It is windy, stormy and unruly outside. The howling sound of the wind is not that scary but bearable. Thank God that there's no twister in this part of Canada. Vancouver, B.C. is located in the Pacific ocean so it doesn't get the very cold negative zero temperature and if ever it snows then it is tolerable. But don't snow yet, please.Ha ha! No it wont snow because the forecast for the whole week is about low precipitation and it will be rainy and stormy until Sunday. Don't you like stupid rain?

Maybe bodies of water such as the ocean, bays, rivers, lakes and ponds would like the rain so that the water will flow downstream and those other people can make use and benefit from the water abundance until it gets dry in your place? What?! You know, water circulate around the planet. Some form of water gets trapped through the dam, some of these water are used for energy to power electricity while some people wasted their water and pollute them. But how much water is too much when it gets flooded in your environment? 

There are parts of the world when all of a sudden their streets get flooded suddenly even if there's no heavy storms. How could that happen? You could probably count all the swimming pools around that area and when sewer pipes are blocked the flood gets to be a huge problem. Or when a water dam got broken and sudden spill of water flows freely uncontrollably. 

Water, water... so downpour once again at the island and it might upset so many of those people suffering from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and that might also trigger depressing moments due to the pandemic that wont go away until we commercialize the Pfizer and Moderna Vaccine. Yey!  There's no Superbowl celebration or there is ? Wow! Anybody who will have Pfizer advertisement and Moderna vaccines for such a very, very long, long time that there will be no more Superbowl game to see on TV?

Oopps! Just kidding dudes. J/K 

We have to be happy that we have so much water on this part of the Earth.

Is It Cold Outside?

 Fourth of January 2021 and too many new news on TV News Network such as: the second roll of the Pfizer vaccines started today. As usual Filipino health care workers on the first frontline. There are many Filipinos working in hospitals, clinics and long term care facilities in Canada and in the U.S.

 I think "health care" is the chosen field of many Filipinos. 

You wont believe how many hundred thousands of  Filipinos who want to be doctors and nurses in Philippines as if there is no other College degrees available. There are hundred thousands of Engineering graduates too. Problem is the workplace. Where to find the right place to work? 

There are too many dentists too. Just the neighbors in my hometown are mostly dentists. The good thing about the nature of their job is they can open up a dental clinic right there in front of their house. Doctors can also open their private clinics at their own homes. Only in Philippines!

How about opening a convenience store? You wont believe that every second or third houses in neighborhood has a variety store. No problem, you can be an entrepreneur using your house to open up a business. Now you wonder why so many College & University graduates in Philippines. Why they can afford to raise more than 10 children per couple. People don't have to pay tax when they have enough kids to raise. While couples in Canada received child-tax benefit because they pay taxes. Standard of living is different.

Can you open up a variety store or convenience store at the upfront of your home in Canada? The answer is a big NO. You cannot even open up a lemonade stand without a permit. Strict compliance with authority and or the GOOD GOVERNMENT. 

The barriers: College & University Graduates from other countries doesn't necessarily qualify for the work here in Canada. You are a doctor, dentist and nurses in Asian countries but when you come here and look for employment in Canada, you are to educate yourselves again and study to become nurses, doctors, etc. You can find employment but you are "demoted" by the high standard of education and standard of employment implemented in Canada. Rocket sky-high. Okay? So where are the rockets now? Do you think it's cold in January?

My computer laptop was acting up for two days as if its been infiltrated by unknown entities but you know how many laptops do they have to hack anyway? I hope they still have souls and spirit eh?

Anyway, let us forgive those who tried so hard to harm me and my computer laptops.

JANUARY is the first month of the Calendar year. What a dramatic fresh start on the second day. lol. Yeah, made me laugh. I'm so happy right now.

GOD BLESS US in celebration of our very special birth month, hope and pray that the pandemic will soon be over and gone to never return. Maybe pray a little harder and pray more for guidance and more blessings.

Let us wish for world peace, for happiness, prosperity and for posterity. lol. Let us be united to conquer coronavirus once and for all so that everything will soon be back to normal. We had enough of the pandemic in 2020 and we should bear in mind that we should educate ourselves in fighting the virus by being aware, by being protective, be on guard of our health. When we protect ourselves you are also protecting others.

Roll out the vaccines as soon as possible!
