Choosing the right appropriate tree for the front and backyard is not that so easy. We want a good tree that can stand the test of time. A kind of tree that can stand harsh weather, that can give us shade, shelter and protection. A tree that gives so much fruit, or bears fruit and bloom with flowers all year round. A tree that is almost impossible to find.
I like birch trees for its white spotted bark. The bark that you can make so much of art crafts. You can make paper from it, a natural room divider, make baskets, just an ornamental trees outside the yard makes it pleasing for everyone to see. Great symbol or image for the art of photography. Don't you think so? A background of birch tree image on your room's wall is just perfect. However we want real ones. Trees that are real not fantasy or fakey. We want trees that moves with the wind, with the air, leaves that wither and rejuvenates when touched by shower of blessings.
Shrubs of ornamental flowers at the garden, different shades of trees at the background is just truly amazing. Group of gnomes or picturesque statues or ceramic figurines add life, zest of life if you want to add a drum bridge on your Japanese garden. Others prefer fountain and or any soothing regiment of cascading water falls is always an attraction.
What this unusual tree doing here? first thought it was a Joshua's tree however, turned out it was a monkey tree. Funny as it may seem but who cares about the name, this kind of tree is unique.
Spruce, aspen, cedar, and hemlock? nobody cares at all. With the magnificent view of sunset at the background everything looks spectacular. Japanese maple trees and cherry blossom trees are optional.
Maple tree? Sugar or golden maple tree? Then it could be an oak! Whatever!
Oh look at this along the highway...lots of trees to choose from. From dogwood trees, douglas fir tree, pine, hemlock, cypress, and what you call it elm? No way, we're not going to Elm Street. For sequoia moment? Go to California and you'd probably feel like a midget dwarfing on its old century robust giant trees and God knows how tall they were almost touching the sky.
Oh what a splendour refreshing tree of life. Coconut palm trees, the grove and groove of these trees as they sway to the rhythm of the breezy wind makes me feel sleepy. Include the hammock tied on both ends of the tree and presto I could go sleep and dream dreams. Yeah only in my dreams. Only on holidays, on a beachy happy life of contentment.

When something funny isn't really funny, there is something wrong with you.
You know what I found so interesting these days? If I'm not blogging some people tend to know more about me by being a "pest" somewhere where I want to be anonymous yet these annoying pest followed me wherever I go. I don't know what it is. Are they bugging me for some kind of reason hard to understand. Truth is I cannot understand them or their motive. But somehow trying to be reasonable when the going gets tough. Everyone needs personal space away from buggers but if the buggers followed your every movement what can I do? When they cannot read anything from my blogs they think something strange happened to me. They keep a vigil up there and down here. lol. Yeah it's a jargon kind of message. It's for the animals. Whoever has instinct. Akala mo ikaw lang meron nun huh. Bugs bunny. Bugs funny.
I remember one time that we went grocery shopping and out of the blue we didn't notice of the grocery cart that we took from the cart station. The wheel seemed to be out of balance and the cart moves unevenly on the surface of the ground so every time we pushed the cart it has some kind of funny noisy sound. At our back were two women who happened to know us and yelled, " hey Lorne we'll follow you wherever you go and wherever that noise will lead to." When I looked back at them and see who these women are, it turned out she was my former employer Susan and her sister on the way to the shopping mall. That situation reminds me of the old movie of Tarzan and the nuns that include Diana Ross riding the boat singing, " I will follow you." Okay not found that humorous? Right on! If you don't find it funny there is one reason behind it, you are Caucasian and I am Asian.
Then there was one particular blogger who asked simple question such as: Is there really somebody who reads blog on weekends? Missy the answer is yes, you are! Yeah caught you reading my blogs. Thanks anyways. Please do not copy my blogs if you don't have permission from me > (E. Verna) the author < of this blog and other blogs you are reading every day. Naku super taray ko naman.

I hate the buzzing sound and the bites from mosquitoes but thank God no kind of buzzing from those lowly noisy creatures. Not here at my place. Seldom you see a mosquito here in the northern part of the world when the temperature is cold. Only when the weather gets hot and you can experience the noisy sound, not only from mosquitoes but from other insects such as tiny nozzium that can penetrate even the tight guarded screens. And when it's really really hot and when your house is located closer to the forest then you'll encounter so many flambuoyant insects, buzzing bees, flies, yellow jacket, daddy long legs, beetles, tick, spiders, creepy crawlies and some other small creatures that are bugging my happiness. No there are no rats here. Rat race maybe. But you know what I don't care about rat race anymore. Too old for that and probably it's best for the young ones to race and join what is applicable for them at their age. Dunno whether I'll join the rest of the nutcrackers cracking codes just for fun and or solving problems for the environment and formulate solutions to ever problems for the sake of humanity. Naks! Parang tunay ah. lol. My God para akong humanitarian nito. I am expecting a purple medal, ahahahhahaah! Joke lang. Oy I'm happy to report about my son getting a medal from school. He truly deserved an award. Great. Thank you. Sometimes young people who deserve such honor and award can double their effort and support to any functions and aim of the school and the student body. Whatever my son achieved in school to deserved such an award is more than a puzzle but at the same time thinking that my son is such a smart guy what do I need to ask for? It's in my genes, in our family genes. It's in my DNA & RNA which he inherit. What could be the best explanation? Okay say hello to my King Nutcracker then maybe he'll give you answers to your inquiry and persistence...for the sake of the truth.

Got calls at home from tenants who need replacement of washer and dryer. Then another tenant whose tank is already old and blasted off its water due to pressure and need replacement. Some water tank needs to be replaced every ten years or depends on the kind of problem it may incur to the ones using it. A job that Lorne has to do aside from carpentry, etc. Even pipes for water should be replaced once in while depends on its ability to sustain pure clean and safe water. I hope the water pipe are free of any hazardous content and free of rust. I hope all water pipes wont carry any toxins that are harmful to health so that I wont get paranoid drinking the water that I used to drink, bathe and most of all the source of solitude. When the water is safe and lack of any hazardous content then it is time to break free. Now you can play your patriot game and make sure you declare your allegiance to your own flag not to the flag of others. If you disown your country you're like an old rotten fish. Take it from Dr. Jose Rizal's loyalty to his own country that he would rather die defending its own constitution and independence. Advance Happy Birthday Jose (June 19)

Before somebody's tongue be cut off from rumor mongering I will inform you right now why I am widely awake early morning which of course is very usual habit of mine. First, cannot sleep properly because of the annoying noise of computer games that my kids play at night. One night I was awakened of a strange sound that is similar to a ticking TB. I got up from my sleep quickly and searched for that weird sound. Knocked at my sons' room who are still awake playing those stupid war games. Sort of war rock with all those almost real sound of machine guns, cannon bombardment, gun's and weapons keep firing non-stop made me feel paranoid as if I am in a war torn country. It was bizarre! It was scary and crazy sometimes. Well I already warned them about it to stop and go to sleep, and just concentrate on studying whatever their teachers at school are teaching them. Imagine who played these st---d games, not only teenagers but also adults and you wont believe rich and famous celebrities and probably those in the military played these military games. It's a virtual games wherein every member pays for acceptance or log in to that website. Even in the cartoon show Southpark they are playing that game about war. Now you asked what the government are doing about this video games or computer games? They cannot do anything about it simply because it provides BILLIONS in dollars in revenues. So, okay I quit from asking such st--d question after that. BILLION DOLLARS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ that's a lot of money. Enough to keep a country in good global position. Enough for a country to be self-sustained? Enough for a country to have its GNP to be stable and enough for the country not to have HST. Whatever! At least the WAR is in the computer, virtual not real.
Then concentrate again at the kitchen thinking of what to cook and provide on the table. Playing those games can make the players hungry for food. It is also easy for them to get thirsty. You wont believe how fast the consumption of pop or soda, juice in boxes and jugs in one day. With water consumption or drinking it's only me and my daughter who drink water here. Dunno why. What's in the water? Sometimes I also gets paranoid and asked them. Too much question to ask?
I am not in front of the computer everyday or the whole day. One thing you have to learn and know that you cannot be in front of the computer everyday, every hour or you will grow old early. It's similar to being dry out under the heat of the sun. Sunbathing. Yeah that's what it is. You absorb so much radiation and you attract so much toxins and cancer is the result. Don't you read books about it? Anyway, I have other work to do at home. I am not a "working mom." I was before. I worked so hard until some workers hate me for over working for they thought I'm stealing their work. What can I do? I am a multi-tasker.

The View From OUT There
Rat race, moose, and hey there are deer running around and eating grass on the yard just blocks away from us. Deer roam around the area in a very strange way. .. at a very early morning before 6 am. I was after them actually two of them in the same spot, wanting to have a close up view of the animals, one of them walked so quickly across the road.
Here is the scaredy deer being ashamed of gnawing the grass on that particular yard where the realtor water its lawn almost everyday. Day in and night he will turned on the water tap and switch the hose sprinkler to water his lawn waiting for the green grass to grow.
Now what? The lone deer had finally moved itself to the vacant lot where too many wild grass grows. The other deer still there in that yard having fun with its meal. One of those days when the screen of our windows showed moments of unusual happening. Hoping to see more unexpected view, maybe next time I would be able to see ET (Extra Terrestials)

I think I'm in a place that is frequented with too many moose. It's a moose country and I am having problem with my identity because they keep stealing and with these too many scammers I don't know what to do. I hope the government of Canada will do something about them. It worries me and I am certainly worried about the damage they may cause and will cause and cost your country and your people. I hate the bunch of scammers, tricksters, and most of all pranksters. I hope they will soon pay for their pranks. Or I will declare WAR.

How To Deal With Reality and Myself ?
I have a crazy habit of staring myself in front of the mirror. Reason for this is somewhat nonsense and you wont bother asking me. Kind of childish behavior maybe. Nah, actually whether my face will change while I am staring at it. Or what happened to my face through the years whether I have aged or looked young or just the same old face or young face that I admired before. Oh my God! So vain! So vain vanity.
Mirror, mirror on the wall. Thinking about the short novel I had written which I had no plan of editing. Besides you probably had the chance to read one of them in my http:// www. mynetnovela.blogspot.com. I can feel the pain of some blogwriters also have trouble dealing with rejection and it also affect me in a very profound ways. Like there are writers who are lucky to have their novels published and then received so much great reviews. Do I have to be happy for them? Or do I have to get jealous? Reading their works made me realized I have a chance...maybe hundred years from now. lol.
Okay enough, even just one loyal reader with too many million magnetic cores are enough to make me stand out and say that ONE person reader can make a difference. It means a lot to me having just one loyal advocate who can really READ.
Most of all be very happy that one person knew that mind reading is also a plus. another optimistic view not for me to give up writing. Writing is not copying. As I am writing here or blogging my idea is a matter of random without any medium to store the data or expressed opinion. It's direct from the thought, it is direct from my mind. It has more feelings that way. Looking at the mirror is my own expression of this is IT >> Arts and Entertainment combined of explaining what would happen in the next few days. Okay gtg remember to keep your handle, have a grip and focus. Persevere after all everything in this world relates to the rat Race and Desiderata.

The problem with mysteries and those events and situation without paper trails is such a mind bending, mind boggling traumatic ways of finding the truth. It will cause you more money to do the research works from where it originates and what really the true story behind it. It's great for movies and or books but in actual normal way of life especially in the works of the government wherein every piece of information and every form of auditing must be presented and analyzed so that the budget can be finalized. The slow-moving work of the government is such a burden that too many people or citizen of that country becomes involved in the great search for such "calculation of government spending:input and output." Taxpayers always are out there to look for the chance on how the government spend the money after all its the people who put the government leaders and workers to where they belong. For we are not in medieval period wherein there are bunch of merry-men and their leader Robin Hood taking what is supposed to be "wealth" for the whole and in part of those who are in that country. Seemed to be a very complicated issue when there is graft and corruption. Although without it, everyone or most of us wont be able to get out of poverty. I think it's true to its context that if we allow so much governance and the government take the whole 100% of governing the whole country we all gonna be living just fairly enough to meet out important needs and nobody can live in the upper class nor middle class of the system. It's gonna be somewhat communistic in nature regardless of extra work you have done or the hard work you have been doing. And that's unfair. Most of all it is UNFAIR for people who have the gift of ESP, gifted in the ARTS and SCIENCE and yet were not given the honor and the honors were then given to those who are not qualified. That's a shame isn't it?
I'll be writing another short novel which I have no idea yet about the title. So I am getting ready with my lined paper and binder and portable white reinforcements to keep the paper secured from slipping out its binder with three holes.
It was hot and sunny yesterday that we keep adjusting the thermostat at home. I have to wear a bonnet for my head. It seemed like the fontanel or rather my "fontanel" is being bombarded with atoms. Yikkess.
Now you know why I used to look up there in heaven looking for answer. The weather which I formulate what kind of atmospheric prediction will have in the coming days. using my very naked eyes without instrument. Early ancient way of predicting weather forecast... isolated showers soon? We should have it so that I can turn off the aircon.

The Unknown
One sunny afternoon I wondered and wandered lonely as a cloud McCloud as I gazed my eyes through the wide open sky trying to reach the cotton-like cloud makes me feel like having a comb or brush in my hands and starts to caress them gently. What an incredible view of enigmatic proportion. I wish I could really touch it. Would it be so soft or hard? Darn! Of course I know what cloud feels like. It's like cotton candy only it's up in the sky. Goodness it's true the blue of heaven is bigger than the cloud.
Now I focus at the other way where the breeze helps soothe the remaining white cloud towards the left side of the sphere as it about to disappear I have my digital camera ready for the rest of the movements.
Then I noticed something pretty, very unusual formation. The cloud is forming something a the upper right side of the open sky, the movement seems to be in slow motion but I waited and waited...
Until the hues changes its form. The letter formation has finally settle into something obscure trying to prove something. I have to wait one more time with enough patience and this is what I have seen
More grandiose of colors and fascinating eventful of cloud formation, its shapes and sizes
Until the sun breaks into euphoria, hysteria and the rest of the event ? I was awestruck of what I saw this time unfortunately didn't record that incredible mind boggling sequences of unknown spectacle. My mind's questioning about its origin and why it happened and what is that thing? It scares me. I should have taken a photograph since I was holding my camera but the appearance of something so profound to the naked eye is debilitating and I found myself glued to that mysterious, very strange thing that I am unable to explain what it is.
NOTE: The photographs above are REAL not fake, not photoshopped. It's real, real real! Real clouds, true real sky.

Bragging Rights. Do You Have It Or You Don't?
Humility, humility when it strikes what could be the main issue? I'd like to think about the famous quote of someone when she said that "Humility is something you lose the moment you think you have it." So what is the best words or group of words to make others feel about humility so that they'll feel better and not out of place?
On over pretentious language when it comes to literary writing always act out as very obvious and it always call attention. So what should be the correct language to say or write or most of all to please others so that they will feel better and be good to themselves not to being push-over. Yes the right word is giving the others the benefit of the doubt and let them get puzzled. Make them realize that they are in the maze and they have to resolve things over and if the humorist would like to prolong the "game of probability and possibility." Uhm isn't that one of the topic in Statistics before? But that was long time ago. I remember one student said and blurted out he cannot understand anything that the teacher said nor the student-teacher has taught them. That's why it's best to study or do your own testing yourself. Self-study is the key word. You wont really learn anything just by listening and watching, you have to do it yourself and experience it. Everyone has the method or procedure that makes it easier for absorption of knowledge. Anyway I am not here to divulge much further and if you are struck by humility and egotism not my fault. This is just a blog, a learning blog of representation.
I happened to be very busy, double busy today but found time to do something else like cleaning windows. I was waiting for the guys to finish the yard work so that I can save windex fluid but it seems yard work will be over for now so out in the yard and cleaned the outdoor glass or exterior part of the windows. Glass window is hard to clean especially when they are hard to reach or too high and for a shorter person that I am I need a ladder or long pole and Swiffer with the long handle do the trick anyways. Yeah I finally cleaned the dirty windows. My back (cord) still hurt but I don't like doing nothing. You know that I am not a lazy bum. Cleaning windows doesn't need me to bend for I can stand straight and use my hands and vision to clean. You know what I mean? Besides that's not such big of a deal. I once cleaned windows over high-tower condominiums, while on top of the 18th floor. That's how high the condo where I lived before. Where the breezy wind swoosh away back and forth as I handle the cleaning of that big huge glass window while I watch the panoramic view of Kowloon on further right and on the closer view left side is the University of Hongkong. Beautiful scenic view, unforgettable. Then the wind blew so furiously as I hang on so tight to the steel rail cover. Thank God my cleaning tool had a fall and I was spared from falling beneath the concrete marble slab of the condominium. I first thought I died and slap my face whether I'm dreaming or not. Reminiscing about it now keeps giving me the chill. I told myself I will not clean windows anymore. That's the last. I don't want to die yet.
Months passed by and I was seeing dirty windows again. This time I used longer poles to clean the huge window with the strength and determination I have to conquer my fears. I passed cleaning the huge window at the living room, nothing happened. As I looked the glass window is cleaned and sparkles like crystal clear I went to the bedroom and started cleaning the windows there. While I was trying to reach the left side of the window and holding the cleaner or the tool to reach the corner glass the steel rail that covers the window broke down. For some reason it made me question whether the metal railing cover is made of steel or just plain iron or just some kind of cheap metal. What could be? Or my hands are -------! What kind of hands I have? Bionic? Aahahhahaha! Bizarre! Six million dollar question.
Okay I know that's hard to believe. No one will believe it anyway so consider that as "Myth." Myth as in dammit! Supernatural.Oh well just a narrative of such a weird, strange, mystifying day of cleaning the glass. It just happened that I have no humility to narrate a rather ordinary one. Others have misinterpretation of the story. From what I heard there is that someone who had a fall from a building. The employer had a problem understanding the situation and placed the dead body inside a box and sent the box through mail. The people had a funny miscalculations and interpretations too because when it comes to rumors and gossip tall stories made more money in the news. Anything that is further from the truth is being believed. And if news stories are like that who and what we have to believe anyway? Crazy you are if you've chosen the latter.
Naturally, people love controversial issue. Those thought provoking issue. Something that is boring is not good wasting time listening too nor do we have to read boring and plain and most of all the bragging issue. Unless of course you have the ability and capability to brag.

If I'm not at the kitchen you can find me in the laundry room where I sort out laundry clothes to be washed and after the work is done by the machine the beep sounds and the song automatically rings in that it's time to unload the clothes and garments from the washer. The same kind of tune I can hear when the loads are done when the dryer has finished its task. This is the future of high tech laundry in Year 2011.
The two machines reminds me of the Space or NASA's PLATO program. The Payload program that teach or trained too many would be future astronauts or just plain students who are interested in the Science and Technology offered in the US. But this is not the NASA you can dream of...too bad. Anyway hope this new innovative idea from the maker of these two machines are really energy-saving device to warn the housewives that when they hear such sound > it's time to take the loads from the machines while it's hot so that it would be easy not to go on another procedure called ironing of clothes. Saves time, electricity, and energy.
When we first move here or whenever we moved, I usually remember the culture or hereditary traits that I was born with. When it's time to move into a new house first and foremost you have to bring the FOOD first. Like a sack of rice, bottle or gallon of cooking oil, food for the fridge, bread or loaves of bread, water in bottles but since all houses here have water tap or faucet therefore all houses here have water running water for tap and faucet. Cooking utensils and pots and pans, chinaware, flatware and all the important household stuff. Now if you are very religious you also include the patron saints or statue of the patron you adore or worship including the cross. I think I brought them with me including all the statue and ceramic and porcelaine figurines of the angels and elephants. lol. Including all the nutcrackers!
Weird eh? The first thing that passed through the main entrance door was the Bravetti deep fryer. Since we are or we were busy that day and I fell from the stairs... I have no time to cook from having that sore back pain which I think need a salompas. Lorne had to order from Wendys for hamburger and cheeseburger plus fries. Later on while we're having dinner the door maker asked him what kind of keys he needs from the box. What? Is there any other key for the door?
Do you want pita bread? The first pita bread that I have seen first time to see was when a Japanese friend made some for us during our visit to her house. That was long time ago.We made some pita too without the alfalfa.
I also brought the Buddhist's gods and deity. I am no Buddhist but I have a conscience. That's what Buddhism is all about. Anything that will bring me good fortune, good luck and happiness and posterity.
After a day's work at the house I really, truly deserve a bar of chocolate. I need it. I need an energetic piece of chocolate to make me feel alive.

The Work, The Kitchen, The Home
This is NOW. The busiest place of the house. This is where I used to stay most of the time because I am the chef in charge with all the planning, cooking and baking.
The best part of our kitchen is the "view" and the arrangement of cabinets and cupboards. With too many cupboards now littering is forbidden. I hate clutter and mess. The appliances are "stainless" which I think is very innovative and dandy, except of course for the microwave. The counter tops are shiny and almost like perfect granite.
The island or center table is handy and most of my cooked food are placed for the whole family to enjoy. It is also serves as a "bar nook or just a quick setting table for fast enjoyment of any snack served by me of course unless otherwise served by the breadwinner.
The wall is well-decorated with shiny glossy glass tiles... so beautiful! The color matched with the over-all appearance of everything inside the kitchen. Thanks to the hubby who did much of the work here. Not to forget he is a carpenter, a painter, and a handyman.
The problem? There is so much work to do in this house. Lots of cleaning, organizing, and more planning for everyday meal for a growing family.
Anyway, I am more than happy to serve as long as they know how hard I've been doing this job of being a Mother. A caring, loving and dedicated Mother who loves a good family.
