FOOD, the only subject in the internet that is worry free and free of controversy

Digging the deep freezer once again looking for frozen chicken. I saw one whole chicken and asked my hubby if he likes roast chicken for dinner. He told me to have that one for weekend maybe on Sunday. Good idea. Chicken wings would be the best viand for lunch or dinner or just plain simple meal for lunch.

For myself would rather have a viand with coconut milk just as what my mind dictates. You know, we Filipinos love viands with coconut milk or coconut cream.

The photo above, I had that tuna enriched with coconut milk garnished with eggplants, ginger, onions and garlic and some spices. Yummy, yummy so good. The Caucasians don't really found viands with coconut cream or coconut milk in it except of  foods with curry. 

Coconut milk is good for you. It has plasma. That could be the miracle ingredient for long life. COCONUT.

Because my family wont eat that viand with coconut milk, better cook this sauteed prawns with green beans and taosi (garlic bean sauce).

Pork loins with lots of sliced onions and spices enough for everyone to have for dinner. The spices I used for food wont hurt your tummy.

All viands are served with hot steamed jazmine rice.

 Blueberry-zucchini muffins for dessert + vanilla ice cream.

OMG! It's Hard For Me To Believe What's Happening On Our Planet

Suddenly the weather temperature has dropped and who are we to blame? It feels like Winter-Springtime temp not Springtime-Summer. Know why? There are news of wildfire again, that's why.

What really contributed to the cold weather temperature at springtime? Could it be that there is division of sunlight provided by the ISS? You know powered by Solar or artificial satellites. Uhm, wonder where the true SUN really is in the solar system. I'm beginning to believe more in Science than Religion. If only...only the Religious sectors are not controlled by the doctors and nurses. LOL. I mean what on earth that billions of people nowadays are being controlled by the "manchurian candidates."

OMG! So, okay let us believe those physicians pretending they are the new Einsteins. They are the new powerful, dominant allies in solving heath care. They are the new heroes of the present generation. Not the soldiers, not the police, not the politicians. The health care workers control billions of people, they control your minds into believing of the coronavirus. That the influenza is now the worst pandemic because of its name COVID. 

C O V I D. Is Covid virus deadlier than dengue fever? is COVID DEADLIER than EBOLA & AIDS?

Know what? We have astronauts right? They are up there in space and they control geostorms. What could be and who could be powerful then? 

I don't know who to believe anymore. Maybe the gag comedy of mind control is a sure winner for two years then the next year we wont know if those humans will still be visible or will be in hiding for the rest of their lives. Passports for vaccines? Vaccination is still considered not mandatory especially if its on clinical trials. You have to follow the Constitution and Humanitarian Rights of every individual.

I watched last night's TUCKER CARLSON's news at FOX and he tackled news on "Americans who had been vaccinated will still have to wear facemasks to protect the unvaccinated."  ?!

WTH is that news? Is that the latest joke on television news? Can you understand that simple English of  those who had been vaccinated have to protect the unvaccinated by wearing face masks.  Meaning? There are things that they don't know about the vaccines and its side effects. Why? Because it is still experimental > on clinical trials. What the hell?

Then those "experts" thought and always will be saying the same synchronized words of the worry-free article of  prevention. "far outweighs." You know with scientists, those vaccines were tested first with guinea pigs, with animals before they are tested on humans and always been the case.

Did you know Yves Rocher? His perfumes were tested first on plants. No animals were used to test his products  first. Would you believe? PLANTS as the new guinea pigs?

TRUTH IS I DON"T BELIEVE ANYBODY. If GOD EXIST and all HIS ANGELS matagal na wala nang planets. Wala na rin kayong lahat. Wala ng mayayabang. WALA ng mga mahirap at mayaman. Wala na ring dapat pagtaluhan or pagdebatehan dahil walang matalino at wala na ring bobo. WALANG WALA NA kasing budget kaya ayang pandemic sagot yan sa mga countries na walang-wala na pulos utang lahat. Survival of the fittest na. How to survive?  ALL OR NOTHING.

 Yup, that's why it's cold today. You don't want wildfire in ablaze once again.

OMG! The cold weather temp. makes me sleepy. I'd better cook early for lunch.

Trees & Pets

 An hour later, two witches made themselves visible. Forget about the first one, the second one is...OMG! I first thought it was Freddie the cat across the street. No, it cannot be Freddie with its black and white hairy fur. Maybe just another black and white cat and the cat walked across the street going to the neighbor's yard behind the fence, behind the big chestnut tree. Hey, that was chestnut tree eh? I'm not sure if its a chestnut tree for sure. When we first arrived here, that tree has no flowers yet, just full of leaves and from hundred feet away from where I am that tree looks like a mango tree. ha ha! I could just laugh at what I said and imagined that very moment. Anyway, I think it is a chestnut tree. I had seen another tree like that somewhere closer to the beach. I'd like to go down there and ask the owner of the house if that tree is a chestnut tree. Maybe one day.

Look at that, coincidence or what sometimes cats can understand me and they have ESP. 

I don't know if dogs are smarter. For once my family had dogs and cats. We named our dogs Mutley & Hunter (Hunter I, II, III) and our only cat was named Tiger because of its hairy fur similar to a tiger. My husband's cat was a Himalayan blue-point named Princess Leia. 

Can you just imagine if dogs and cats can talk? Wow! Humans will probably talk to their pets everyday and live with them like normal human companionship rather than human to human relationship. Well, that's what some folks are doing even before the pandemic especially those with problem with the trust issue.

 

Mango tree or chestnut tree?

Are you a tree hugger? I consider myself that kind of a tree hugger, hugging trees I like 

the moment I saw them...as in literally.  Weird right? Just for photo ops. My favorite tree is of course a palm tree featured on the photo above. Although that palm tree never bears fruit. Hey, no coconut tree in HK. So when I saw the largest tree in Strathcona, the sequoia tree have to hug it too. The largest, the oldest tree and maybe the rings if you counted them could be more than 500 years old. There could be more than hundred year old trees.

I tried to grow that palm tree that I bought from Home Depot sometime in 2018 but sadly the palm tree didn't survive the weather last year. Maybe a different kind of palm tree or the tree with fan-like leaves (anahaw) will stand the weather temp. here at the island just like those anahaw trees I saw somewhere along SIHW. They get enough sunshine there after all the island is called the Sunshine Coast. Hey, you know what the island of Vancouver is facing the East and within Pacific ocean. Why coconut trees wont grow here? lol. Ha ha! The gumamela plant or hibiscus plant somewhere in the interior part of C.R. grows like as if it stands on Hawaiian island. Then I remember the weather temp. there is somewhat different from other parts of the island as if the ground has burning coal underneath and fog lingers every now and then? Uhm, I could be wrong. Maybe it's just the sun shines there dominantly upward and downward. OMG! ha ha, j/k. What a miracle that sunlight has different shades on different part of the island. Wrong? Maybe that's solar power. lol. Who am I kidding eh? Hey ISS provide sunshine here.

At least the island of V has everything in it. If you want to see and discover a Japanese-China town we have it here. You want to see the Korean town, looks like we have it too. How about a German town that too we have it at the island. A Peruvian town? Looks like there is a Peruvian  village somewhere in Black Creek with the petting zoo of llama and other exotic animals and the Peruvian mountains on the horizon. How about a  Filipino town? Maybe there will be a Filipino town if they stop trying hard to be "White" especially when your skin is brown. Who wants to be brown skinned? I myself would like fair complexion however when my skin has turned fair, being mistakenly to be a Chinese or Vietnamese. Wow! Really? What the hell. And then the racism starts. Please look at me as if I'm Korean, okay? Blind people.

Too many blind people here in Canada. That's why when you watch TV, everyone is warned "for visually impaired." Ha ha! Jokers!! GAS, the presence of gas in the atmosphere, the level of gaseous substances in the air add to the malady of blindness and poor sense of smell. You can smell carbon monoxide. Did you know that? You can study that by reading Encyclopedia.

Why those department stores, so many of them  had  closed down, shut down here at the islands? RACISM is so damn rampant. I don't know why chivalry is still being practice here. What are you up to people? Oh, diversity. What's wrong with diversity? It create chaos. In Quebec, there was a law about ban on religious symbols and religious freedom is suppressed. Well it wont happen now right because suddenly the coronavirus pandemic becomes the norm or normal way of life. You wont know who or what religious upbringing of every individual when everyone is covered with face masks. Look, all we need are veils covering our heads. That could be fashionable. Let us go back to the time of Jesus Christ. It will be a "period movie-like" scenes similar to STAR WARS.

 

Hey, let us go back to tree hugging, so many million of trees at the island. It could be in billions, my my arithmetic is up to no good. At least we can breathe the oxygen they exhale. That is the purpose of trees they supply THE MUCH NEEDED OXYGEN. My family resides now at the oldest part of the city. Oldest part means the residents on this area were probably been here since  the 1950's. The exotic trees can be traced back from since before World War II and they are not native to Canada. How could that happened? The island is more like tropical. But what the heck, the wealthy want four seasons temp. Richy, wealthy countries can control the weather and climate. Obviously. If not then what are those witches doing anyway.

OFGS! HOW WELL YOU KNOW THE GOVERNMENT? They probably have their own experts who analyzed all the necessary procedure & procurement of anything about vaccines. From the manufacture's point of view, from its ingredients and its cure. That's why the covid vaccines are just for EMERGENCY USE ONLY. However, what happened is the public ask for the vaccines right immediately because of the onset of outbreak news carried by NEWS NETWORKS AROUND THE WORLD. They probably know who those scientists are and PFIZER is a well known pharmaceutical company. It's just that some drugs just like vaccines may not be in compatible with some humans who had experienced with side effects with the vaccines. That's why before you take the vaccine, you must consult with your conscience, consult with your physician, your doctor and whoever you believe can be trusted.

IT's YOUR BODY, YOUR CHOICE. Still reluctant? 

THE MESSAGES COULD BE WELL UNDERSTOOD by asking yourself only. You have a mind of your own so better use it wisely. For children to be vaccinated with this new vaccine? OMG! That's crucial for parents to decide.

That Could Be Truth Or Fiction

 Wow! Suddenly it's HOT! Finally the sun is up there in the sky. Oh my! OMG! I'm glad that the weather temperature has changed. Hubby really loves shopping by himself. He went shopping early morning and went shopping again this afternoon. 

I asked him first what he  really wants for lunch or dinner. He told me that he is happy with just plain grilled cheese sandwich. I'm not sure about that. He was saying that because you know sometimes I feel lazy too especially when I see what he bought from the supermarket. Same vegetables from last week. There's really no choice. There is not much Asian veggies in Canada aside from: eggplant, long beans, bittermelon (only once a year you can see that wrinkled vegetable), bokchoy, beansprout, okra, squash. No malunggay, no kangkong, no camote leaves, no cassava leaves, no gabi leaves, no upo, no munggo,  none of banana heart, there is jackfruit in can. Same o, same boring stuff.

I don't really know what to cook next. We have pork, beef, shrimps, whole chicken. 

I think boredom is getting into me. Maybe when you are over 50 years of age everything is so boring. 

No wonder why so many people are bored and want to get out of their homes and go for a vacation out of their house, out from their small town to visit another city or another province or country. 

BOREDOM. BORING LIFE. People are actually getting sick because life is too boring for them.

Then you have the pandemic that keep you inside the house like as if you are a prisoner. Everyone's a prisoner now. Ha ha! The Chinese Huawei executive who was on house on arrest was probably laughing out loud most of the time. LOL. You know what a Chinese period drama eh? If you made a huge mistake or you fail in your judgment to convict a Chinese whose status belongs to the "Upper Class" you know right there you'll get that plague and that was it the Wuhan coronavirus. ? Eh? Wow! Waitcha! OMG! It's like the Chinese movies I used to watch on TV. Novoland: Eagle Flag & Nirvana In Fire II.

Hmm, coincidence?

That was so shocking! You don't challenge the Ancient Cradle of Civilization.

The quarantine and isolation becomes the new norm last year up to this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. But maybe those people are sick because of what's inside their homes? That the air ventilation and the air or carbon inside their home are poisonous. Your homes have thick insulation and the air quality get stuck inside with no air vent for the air to circulate or flow outside. Yup, probably that's the cause of the malady. Similar to what happened to those sick sailors who came from Europe and then anchored their ship to the Mayan peninsula and that was the start of the epidemic. Heh, that was just assumption of what happened to the ancient Incas why their civilization has vanished.

Vanishing act of civilization could be the movements of civilizations to another route downhill when the water dries out in the upper level, following the long route and flow of the water stream where it regain its strength. Where opportunity strikes.

Can you learn something from the movie THE MARTIAN?

Are you in the planet MARS where you need to breathe using oxygen tank? Planet EARTH has no oxygen? Take off your face masks. You don't inhale the smoke. Stop smoking! For God Sake!

Oh, you are in the crematorium and inhaling the smokes? My God! It's not COVID. 

SMOKE INHALATION is HEALTH HAZARD. Chronic illness, asthma, respiratory illness, and other serious illness can rise up.

It's been more than a year and no virus lasted that long.  Chemicals are more than TOXIC and when you inhale those chemicals in the air and you drink the water with toxins that is worse than the virus. Virus can be wipe out but chemicals the toxic chemicals are not that easy to dismantle. CHEMICALS ARE WEAPONS OF WAR. We are not in Iraq. Do not bring back the Iraq war.

Do You Like Surprises?

 What happened in the past got nothing to do with the future. Only if you will think about the present.

Tonight's the night of the OSCAR'S Awards Night and it will not be the same as the star studded gala of flambouyant lavish lifestyles of the rich and famous. Due to the pandemic of the coronavirus and the fast spreading variants the award ceremony is nothing but "subtle ceremony" a movie-like presentation as what those news reporters are saying on TV. Computer ZOOM-like event. Whatever. Just surprise us.

What are the latest movies that you watched recently? To tell you the truth, I only watch movies through our TV and if I need to rent a DVD/Movie thr. Optik then that's the only way. Nobody goes out to watch movie in the cinema, well because cinemas or movie houses were closed for sometime and if they opened the movie houses maybe for certain period of time. 

Besides, who will judge those movies for the Oscar's but those who are in the Award Giving Body of the ACADEMY. They are the first to  watch those movies, they are the first and foremost critic of the films, the movies, the actors, the actresses and overall quality of the production best supported by the production crews, the producers, the story lines. 

Synopsis. That is what I'm reading when I want to see or watch a movie. Forget about who are the lead actors or lead actress. Look and read at the synopsis and story line and plot. Is it in the category of: Adventure, Truth or Fiction, Comedy, Fantasy, Horror/mystery/Suspense, Action & Drama. 

Is there a movie with everything in it? 

If you'll ask me, I love to watch good quality movies. A general patronage movie is great and so as comedy movies. Entertainment. Supposedly movies are made to entertain us. But if your life is a happy, enjoyable life you tend to watch something that doesn't represent your life. You want to watch something that is different from your life. Something that doesn't mirror your own quality of life. However, some people used to watch something that they can relate to. Each human is different from each other and their wants, needs and desire vary so its up for the award giving body to decide, after all it is their "club." 

I haven't seen any of the movies nominated for the Oscar's but based on their synopsis, these are the movies I like to watch:

Whether You Have It Or You Don't

 UMULAN? It rained after a week of hot, sunny temperature. Hay naku Mulan! That's what it is. Sometimes, we need rainfall because if one week of hot days at the island you'll never know what you gonna get.

I noticed many trees showing its shoots of lime colored leaves. The neighbor's dogwood tree is in full bloom with its pretty flowers. The cherry blossoms bring that cheery disposition on everyone's vision no matter how pink they are. Lilacs, purple lilacs are evidently seen, azaleas, wisterias, tulips and daffodils they are spring flowers and they add life to the vibrant scenic view on the streets. Sorry,  cannot shoot photos of them. I can admire all those flowers only by what my eyes can see. 

There is so much to do at the front yard after the TN had plowed the top soil they added on the yard. However, it turned out that there are too much gravel on the soil. Pebbles, gravel, rocks and weeds of dandelions that need to be eradicated before the bermuda grass is put into place. Or a hydro-seeding would be the best option.

I asked Lorne if... what if I just plant sunflowers all over the front yard instead? Like you know an array of sunflowers at the front yard. OMG! I wonder what would happen or what could it lead to? 

Oh, forget about it.

 

We once lived in this townhouse complex that my husband managed for 22 years and 7 months. The landscaping is truly awesome. My hubby's the carpenter, the painter, gardener, landscape artist, the pressure washer guy, sometimes he also do the plumbing, roof shingles fixer, being the handyman for the company he works for has saved them lots of money. Extra works such as replacing bulbs and light fixtures, renovation, cleaning gutters, fixing synchronized water sprinkler, replacing hot water tank, and a lot more other fixing to do.

Why he needs to do such thing when he is the manager? Other managers just have to sit and call plumbers when there's a plumbing job to do. Or call a roofer to fix roof shingles blown away by storms and gusty winds. Know what? To call those blue collar job men for the kind of fixing will cost a company broke. lol. Not funny. Some of them are too busy to fix something and when you call them for emergency appointment you'll have to pay them just for arriving at the site without doing anything. You know what I mean? Sorry, but that's a turn off right?

We should have been rich with the kind of work he does for the company but NO. My hubby's a very honest man. Just the painting of houses, he could make lots of money but don't know what he is doing. Instead of  billing his customers the right amount of  what professional painter should be paid, he just billed them less and no profit for whatever business he had. I don't know, maybe he is a saint. Maybe he likes being poor because he was from a wealthy family before. Maybe he likes to experience such quality of life, the simple life and blend in with those people who are called the "have not."

Wildfires

 I am not good at telling stories about myself. I am at best in complimenting other people or criticize some humans if I have to. I am a critic remember? Bitchy and unkind. Ha ha! That's what you think. Nah, good at suspense and mystery. 

So leave all those mysteries and suspense behind, let us focus on FOOD. I am the best cook ever at home. I COOKED FOOD FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

Yeah provided that all the ingredients are available. However, my hubby is the frequent shopper since last year because of the pandemic that is causing havoc and wrecking the economic condition of every country in the world. The fact is, when you go shopping it is better not to stay in the supermarket for more than an hour. Be able to shop for essential goods for less than 30 minutes and make sure to follow all the necessary protocols. Ha! It feels like communism is in effect with this kind of situation eh?

I remember my Economics professor who once tackled that subject in our class, that somehow communism is becoming visible in Philippines during the Marcos administration. I was shocked. All her students including me were surprised and dismayed about what she said. Okay, there was a Martial Law imposed but that was for the safety and security of the country because if Martial Law was not declared in the 70's what could ever happen? There'll be surge of influx of refugees from Vietnam, Bangladesh, India, and Cambodia. It was also a period of civil war in Mindanao and the epidemic of malaria, measles, and chicken pox. Immunization happened of course. BAKUNA. But you know, the refugees still were able to get in. How? Asian people look the same as what foreigners used to say. Filipinos have similar facial features with Chinese, Malays, Indonesians, Burmese, East Indians, Vietnamese. Unless of course if you are good at recognizing one from another or you know how to compare them from each other. 

What the true Filipinos looked like anyway? Mixed of everything? More like Spanish? Five hundred years of Spanish rule and regime? Of course it's a mix of Spanish/Chinese/Malay. Malay mo? Malay ko rin. Who knows? Could be the First Nations are the Filipinos ancestors. LOL.

The oldest humans on earth are the Ancient Israelites, Chinese, & Egyptians. The Sumerians, Babylonians, the Hitites and the Etruscans? I don't know what really happened to their tribes. So take it from there. The Ancient Chinese is the ancestors of the Filipinos. The Israelites are the ancestors of the Americans & Europeans. The Ancient Egyptians are the ancestors of the Africans, Ethiopians, and the people from the Middle East.

Canadians, who are the true Canadians? The Vikings were the first Canadians. iViking! Opsi, then the First Nations and indigenous people can contradict that. The Americans, the Europeans came to migrate to Canada. Then you had those Syrian refugees who were accepted to come here in the year when PM Justin Trudeau became the Prime Minister. The military camp was used as their home and wildfire happened in Fort McMurray after that. ALL IN THE NEWS ON TV.  Wildfire after wildfires happened as if a symbol of what kind of plague is that? Plug or plague? I first thought it was movie in the making but the wildfire has consumed the whole community. The largest wildfire evacuation in Canada's history. It burned 5,896 km of land area. 88, 000 of its population became homeless. The wildfires lasted for 458 days! So shocking! What the hell...IT WAS HELL ON EARTH in Alberta! News networks were feasting on it everyday after day, after so many days.

Reminiscing The Good Olden Days In HK

 It was year 1990, BLAZERS are most commonly seen being worn and seen in the fashion scenes in Asia's fashion capital HONG KONG. Socialites, fashion models, essential workers, even the elite students in British/Chinese schools wear blazers. Women, men, children wear blazers. Why not? Blazers are trendy and fashionable and it was the trend in the 90's. 

I had one blazer that I love to wear, it was a black velvet blazer. The blazer fits my body perfectly as if its been tailor made for me. The texture of the blazer's fabric is quite smooth and of course velvety. 

 Sometimes when I don't feel like wearing clothes that almost closer to my skin's color. I'm glad I had that black blazer or nude colors become the trendsetter. Yup, you should consult your  optometrist or just wear eyeglasses to see. 

I am not the empress without clothes.

The weather in Hong Kong is temperate. Cool and breezy. It gets very cold at winter but not friggin' cold compared to Canada. Of course there is no snow in HK even if its closer to China geographically. It never get hot when I was there. Just warm breeze at summer time. I must have been lucky that the weather was always perfect there.

HK is the best of both worlds, very modern and yet ancient. The surroundings are very clean and organized too, not kidding,  simply because too many guardians on the street. The policemen are everywhere. lol. And they are handsome too! Great! It is very safe and secured there. The people in HK still value their old culture and you must admire their ancient heritage and tradition. Their respect for elders and ancestors made them the best cradle of civilization. I LOVE HONG KONG! It is the most stunning, most beautiful island in the Far East. The beautiful skyscrapers, the condominiums, the towers and buildings have architectural designs built for ultra modern metropolis. Would you believe that the island has millions of inhabitants but the flow of traffic is controlled and fast simply because everyone follows the rule of law. The MTR or Metro Railway Transit subway, underground was scary at first but when you use MTR all the time traveling through the subway is fast, efficient and reliable. An hour ride by bus could only mean 10 minutes to get into the destination of choice using MTR. Don't worry whether the MTR will cross the ocean via tunnels, underground mountains and  under skyscrapers. Just pray that there will be no earthquake and everything's gonna be fine.

There is always something to do in HK, especially when it comes to shopping the best deals. HK is the shopping mecca so that is quite an excitement for shoppers. I remember Lorne buying fabrics made of silk, satin and  embossed linens, jewelries, then Gucci wristwatch for her sister. Long before I knew that the silk and satin fabrics were for me actually and my Mother-in-law sewn those fabrics for my honeymoon dress nightgowns. Wow! How nice of her to do that for me. She probably would sew my wedding dress if the wedding was held in Canada. I felt very, very special. Thanks Mom!

Anyway, let's have that long story shortened. Hong Kong is the best place ever and if I will go on vacation it will be in HK. I wish the pandemic is over. Nobody likes this pandemic of coronavirus.

Impulse Buying

 

I recently made a purchase of fabrics not the ones I intended to sew, not the ones I was looking for but what the heck I was already there at Fabricland so better buy something else.

I could have spend long enough to search for what I am searching but the scare of the pandemic had me just being inside the store for the time being of not wasting time. It was not like that before. As far as I remember being in the store would have me choosing fabrics I like, touching or feeling the texture of such fabric whether it is smooth or is it spandex, rayon or chiffon. You know you have to feel, touch, or look at the designs, inspect the weave, the thread, everything. It takes time to choose and compare one fabric to another. Then pose with fabric in front of the mirror on the wall whether the fabric's design and over all length and width fits into the style that I have to sew. Turn around and look one more time at the mirror for more introspection and feel like Wonder Woman )))))) Ha ha! Dreaming...

NO. You cannot do that anymore in any fashion store not even in the fabric store. With facemask on your face and the thought of pandemic you always think about safety. As much as possible better to spot your fabrics in mind, get them and let the clerk cut them on desired length and pay the items right away. Clean and sanitized hands with hand sanitizer and OUT of the store.

Now what? When will I sew the fabric for my new tops, cullotes/skort and pedal cruiser? Huh? I was overwhelmed whether I had chosen what I really want. With that kind of rush almost like impulse buying and my hubby making nasty comment that one of the fabrics I had chosen is somewhat "old." WTH! Hey, I'm old but my hubby is older!! So what if the fabric has that conservative design. The floral prints are somewhat old. Really? I love bright colors of red orange flowers, dainty white flowers  with lime leaves and branches print on navy colored background fabric. Amazing!!

I noticed that there are more cotton fabrics for quilting and for some other crafts. Fabric you can sew for the making of face masks. So many hundred cotton and broadcloth fabric for the making of scarves. Great! The new management is much better, the salesclerks are courteous and helpful. I wish them the best of luck!

Fabricland, the local store, the only textile or fabric store in our community of  45,000 population as of this writing, maybe there are more than 45,000 you know our community is expanding. I think from the many condominiums, houses, and apartments being built. Nothing's wrong with population explosion for as long as these new immigrants or newly arrival of  people will help in the economic recovery and wont be a burden to the economy. And I do hope that they are not prisoners from other countries. You know what I mean.

 I'm not being bitchy nor racist since I was also a victim of racism. 

 

Heavenly Dessert

 

My hubby likes having desserts after supper. Usually he prefers ice cream with frozen fruits in it such as sliced mangoes, peaches, berries: blueberries, raspberries,  blackberries, strawberries or loganberries.

If he's not satisfied with the ice cream he'll drive through the nearest supermarket and search for delectable cheesecake. 

I think strawberry cheesecake is his favourite because he buys that kind of cheese cake flavour most of the time.

However, a sweet piece of pear fruit is just good enough for me sometimes depends on availability.

 I wonder why I like pears more than apples.

But of course, a cup of hot brewed coffee VAN HOUTTE or MAXWELL HOUSE is so damn good worthy with any kind of dessert. For sure.

Curiosity

 My computer's very slow for the past two days  and I cannot understand why. What could be the problem? Then I started deleting so many of my photos in the photo album in the folder file. That could be it, that solved the problem.

I don't need to worry about those deleted photos because I have copies of them anyway.

So, I did not watch or rent the movie THE CONVENT maybe later, instead watched the movie THE MATRIX again. Why not? It's a Keanu Reeves movie with Carrie Anne  Moss and Fishburne.

If you're to choose the BLUE PILL or the RED PILL which one will you choose? At least Morpheus informed Neo that the blue pill > his life would be just the same, he'll wake up on his bed and everything's ok. However, the red pill > is the possibility to find out what's deep down the rabbit hole. Neo had chosen the RED PILL. That bad? Look, Neo had the "bug" in his tummy inserted by the mysterious "men in black." Then Trinity had it sucked out by their device only to be manipulated by Morpheus of what could happen to him once he choose his side. BOTH SIDES are wrong. Both sides are manipulators and Neo the victim of such brainwashing. On Morpheus side, Neo had to endure the biggest bug and the system of  extreme suffering as in living in the daily experiment, their brains hooked to electronic devices while they sleep and in their trances they have to defeat those "men of black." If you have seen the many sequels of Matrix, the last sequel is just Neo's life was the one who suffered long enough to be the victim of both sides, the systemic brain manipulation and did he became the hero? He became the ONE as used and his life is just nothing as compared to the lives of whom he saved. Poor guy. But you know, other minds have better explanation of what he did. He was hailed as "hero" and when you are a hero you are to suffer and you will die eventually at the end. Who wont?

Fishy? I am craving for fish. I asked my hubby where he can buy herrings? Fried herring or paksiw na herring. 

Nowhere to buy those herring fish.

Lunch: Fried rice (pcs of ham + beef + peas + corn + spices) and cream of mushroom soup

How about chicken fajitas?  Nah, I had shrimp, mushrooms, sour cream wraps. Good enough.

Nothing's New

 Tuesday today. Before that I was waiting impatiently to see another VOD or the $1 movie to watch.

 I told myself that maybe today the T.O. will have it. Nope. I should have rented the Liam Neeson's movie about  "The Thief." Darn it. Maybe I will just rent the thriller "The Convent" for $3 or wait for another week maybe? I have to scare myself.

Getting cheesy or just plain stingy and thrifty. Ha ha!

Yeah, why rent a video dvd or rent a movie when there are so many hundred movies in different television channels. Facts of life that most of those movies are reruns. How many times you watched the John Wayne's movies? Or the movies of Harrison Ford? Recently there are movies of Angelina Jolie and we watched her movies so many times.

There are many sitcoms and shows on TV and most of them are reruns and replays too. What's going on?

Even the news are the same since a year ago. The world is at the stage of being stagnant.

The decaying Earth. The non-stop news of the same news again and again. You know that's suffocating and frustrating for the human minds to absorb. Keeping the same news everyday same theme, same story, same attitude could just doom the earth and its inhabitants. Humans would vanish on earth if this same old stories continue as if everyone's suffering from PTSD and Alzheimer's. Nothing's new. ZERO.

 I experimented on "crab rangoon" using shrimps/pork as alternative. lol. Where's the crab?

 

 

Another Weird Monday

 It is warmer today as it had been in the weather  forecast in advance before last Friday actually. Good for the people working outside, for the farmers, gardeners, sunbathers, construction workers, for everyone who would like to appreciate their surrounding, their environment. 

The limit of space in the wide open space of Canada. There is that limited of space in big cities but if you live in the farm, who would have to say no or you are forbidden to stay outside?

OMG! Would you like to read the HOLY BIBLE today? In the beginning...the GENESIS until the creation of the first man  Adam  and woman Eve and how they tackle the first original sin of disobedience.

Who would have thought that those two famous humans disobeyed GOD and were booted off from paradise. What garden of Eden looks like? Millions of animals and only humans + perfect nature.

What could ever happen if the first two humans obeyed GOD for the rest of their lives? 

Makes me wonder.

Now who are acting GOD in our lives? In the present generation, there are godlike creatures, they are absolutely not perfect but they are somewhat "godlike" and they must be obeyed all the time as in OBEDIENCE TO AUTHORITY, just like what happened in Vietnam war.

Some humans will probably disobeyed those godlike creatures just to be in jail or for certain causes only them who can fathom. or just that doesn't makes sense. ?

Otherwise, there are still creations out there who are willing to be inside their own homes as in being reclusive, just that being at home, feeling at home is what makes them safe away from all the troubles. They are not boats. They are human beings. Besides, what else to do anyway? Some people would rather work behind computers or the computers will only be for prisoners. I mean for prisoners of illusion. Ha ha! 😆OMG! That was a song. (((Prisoners of illusion, sentence is suspended, loneliness has ended LOVE has set me free. ))) j/k

At Least It Is A Dream Not A Nightmare

 I'm so glad it's already Sunday. Whoah! Days are getting longer. It is not warm outside although it is Springtime. As of now, the weather temp. is 1 d.Celsius outside. 18 d. C inside the house.

I had a dream, very strange dream actually. The story: I was in search for my pair of black shoes (CS pump up shoes) and when I cannot find the shoes, I cried non-stop. My friends helped by looking for the pair of shoes everywhere where their eyes can reach the corners of our home. Then I went outside the house, only to discover that the front of the house is a department store SM selling thousands of shoes. How the hell that happened? OMG!

Dreams are really weird, right?

 

I have too many pairs of shoes, why I cried over that one pair of shoes? What kind of shoes are they? LOL.  

Of course it's not Cinderella's glass slippers or shoes. 

It's not NINE WEST shoes.Not the Italian leather shoes. Not the Fioni glittery shoes that wont fit me anymore. I bought this because of its glitters. Ha ha! Christmas shoes! Just three months passed by and wont fit my toes in it.

It is not the pair of Jessica's shoes from Sears.

This Christian Siriano's pair of pointy high heeled shoes! With 4 inches heels. Wow!

Hey SIRI, what could be in this pair of shoes that my dream seems surreal.

NOTE: Sorry, not fashionable enough to show expensive, extravagant shoes that fashion models used to wear borrowed from their fashion moguls. I am not an upstart nor fashionista and I am not a model who promote expensive shoes. I only wear pair of shoes that fit my feet, my toes comfortably. Hey reality people! No need to brag. I am not the devil of prada. ha ha! Reality, humility.

Why The Need For Facemasks?

 I was waiting for the billing of our internet/tv/phone it's been  a month since we moved in to our current home, well only to be shocked...beyond shock of the bill amounting to $440.65.

Why? What happened? In my thought, the bill should be lesser than previous billing because we seldom use our telephone as in we never call anybody, I had a long distance call outside of Canada just once. My hubby used his cellphone most of the time and that's separate billing. Anyway, the message down below the bill had it that extra charges was for the connecting charges including tax as in change of connecting to new telephone line and numbers. Service connection must be paid now unlike before if you are a customer for this telephone/tv/internet company. So weird. 

My sister's paying only less than $200 for the same complete bundle.

Disconnect and connecting to new line had us paying for more. Wow.

I wonder how other humans out there can pay their own bundle. Or we are the only ones being charge with extra payment? Fleecing Is that what US Pres. Biden had said about "fleecing?"

Whoah! It's kind of crazy. Some people are connecting themselves especially if they are rich and famous and those in poverty have to connect themselves like in the club of poor people. LOL

Right on! According to the NEWS ON TV there are 2,755 BILLIONAIRES as of current counting and 493 NEW BILLIONAIRES since the pandemic. JEFF BEZO the owner of Amazon, currently the #1 on the top list of billionaires. In the pandemic period some humans are getting richer by the hour. You, the common people helping them become millionaires and billionaires.

 

Are you suffering from headaches now? More headaches when suddenly the price of commodities rise up to the point of rockets being fired and wildfire started burning the forests?

The volatile economy, the PANDEMIC has catapulted more billionaires enough to have dominion over the billions of population of the earth. You are helping the MONOPOLY & monopolists to succeed. We don't really have pandemic. The pandemic is a special project of these billionaires. You've been fooled so many times and the media adds up to the biggest lie. How much is their commission? Why you have to stay at home because so many millions of humans are going crazy, fed up, sick and tired of lots of baloneys and when millions of crazies out there you have to hide. The media and journalists have to hide from their bunkers and of all those humans wont be able to get out from where they are working, too nervous to be seen and just for everyone's protection they have to wear masks so that they cannot be recognized.

Philosophy On Your Well Being

 VACCINATION or IMMUNIZATION is a moral obligation on the part of an individual who wants to protect and survive the pandemic. 

However, if the vaccines is on  its stage of the CLINICAL TRIALS, an individual whoever he is, whoever she is as a person can say NO.  It is not mandatory for the whole community or whole country to be vaccinated, except only if the SEVERITY OF THE VIRUS has affected half of the population of such country.

Do you think HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS need to be vaccinated? The truth is should be NO NEED. If that individual or group of individuals are perfectly healthy why bother? There is always exception to the rule.

Besides, humans are born with human brains, human minds and conscience to know what is best for them. Do not take away their CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. Ask the HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION if vaccination is mandatory and the passport is constitutional rights.

How educated are you? You are born not only with conscience but with the skills to know what is right from wrong. You are born with logic and reasoning, you know what is RIGHT for you. Who would know your rights?

VACCINATION & IMMUNIZATION is still not a mandatory process. MANDATORY IF THE WHOLE or HALF OF THE POPULATION IS INFECTED, no need who is age 100, to age 60. No need where you came from nor what is your status, gender, work just that a mandatory vaccination is held spontaneously when vaccines are available and it should be fast at the rate of not wasting time. But for whatever drama out there that their "drama conflicted with their own intuition or for the sake of being seen through the camera as in being in the spotlight WTH is that vaccination for? MOVIE? Movie for SCHINDLER's LIST COVID-19 VERSION? Or for ADVERTISEMENT commercial purposes?

USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. Nobody knows yourself but YOU.

It's Never The Same Anymore

 Our Easter Sunday dinner.

 

My family celebrated Easter just like Thanksgiving Day with a big turkey, stuffing and gravy + steamed potatoes, steamed broccoli, prawns sauteed with bittermelon, and ham/egg omelette.

Easter Sunday is equivalent to Christmas and much celebrated by Roman Catholics, except that there is no exchange gift happening. A tradition, a customary tradition being passed around in the Christian world.

We had creamy sweet fruit cocktail salad. Everything's delicious and delectable of course. 

However, we missed our son who is staying with his 2 aunts in the mainland. There are unpleasant news so our Easter Sunday is not that a happy one. 

The pandemic still lingers, we don't invite anybody. We are not terrible humans to give invitations and welcome other people in the house. We are just cautious and following the "protocols." If this pandemic is really real and still making a huge impact on the economic condition of the country and countries everywhere then we are all for the long haul and everyone's unhappy because life is not the same as in being "normal." 

After everybody's vaccinated then back to normalcy is much appreciated. But for the time being that almost everyone is afraid, fear lingers and it is not cowardly to say you are afraid and becoming an OCD is just normal now...it's okay. You are not alone. After the pandemic there are many branches of Medicine that prioritize the trauma brought on by COVID pandemic. Your Health will be the priority of all vultures everywhere. So you might eat the vultures now. j/k

For those who are suffering from flu not covid should seek medical attention. The question is, if you are covid positive, can you get the vaccine right away as being "first priority?" Don't you think doctors at the Clinic and Hospitals should be able to vaccinate their own patients rather than queue at the Community Centre provided by city mayors and public officials? Or it's because publicly the "must see vaccination site" is necessary for the purpose of  ? what? Just that the Government is doing their job. Hmm, I answered my own question. You know there will be election soon. SNAP ELECTION maybe?

They have to suffer the long line up? From what I heard there are individuals who were infected in the vaccination site. You are to get vaccine to protect yourself and then you get infected by the virus? WEIRD. Who and what we have to watch for news? Only the true, real news ONLY! Not fabricated. Not hoard news from ten years ago.

 HOLY THURSDAY, GOOD FRIDAY, then now today is BLACK SATURDAY. According to the HOLY BIBLE...Jesus Christ is already resting after the great crucifixion. 

The Atheists wont believe anything about the crucifixion, the resurrection but how many were crucified and nailed on the wooden cross in the Philippines for millions of people to see, not only for the inhabitants but for the foreigners to see as well. It was the most-sought-after pilgrimage in Philippines as the live crucifixion of live humans being nailed to the cross after a long procession of men hitting their backs, their bodies with ropes until they bleed. Nobody dies though.  Penitencia as its best offer for sins they had committed. Every year penitencia and that extraordinary ritual pseudo-masochism had stopped for two years due to the pandemic of coronavirus.

I don't like watching news on TV anymore. There are hundreds to thousands of channels on TV, based on your subscription. There are too many news channels and that maybe the reason why news channels are somewhat competing with each other in broadcasting news. Remember the time when CNN had to compete with AlJazeera and other big broadcasting companies? Journalism is such a competitive work that if somebody like former US Pres. Trump had said in the past that most of the news are FAKE.

When I first arrived here in Canada sometime in year 1992, a newly acquaintance told me that I should not believe all the news on TV and newspapers, including those tabloids that I used to read because they are thought provoking. Weird. I think have to believe her that some news are obviously fabricated (make-believe or believe it or not it's made up news), hoarded (news that happened from long time and ago then revived for there's really nothing's new news). Most news network are running on 24/7 and what else can they do but sit and read the messages on teleprompter, on and on as if there's no tomorrow. Weather Channel is the one to watch now. Ha ha.

Remember the year 2001-2004 news about the war as it was broadcasted for so long as viewers enjoyed and scared themselves about the war that happened during the Desert Storm? HOARD NEWS. And now they are part of the longest running video games in animated version.

Hey there are NETFLIX, HAYU, KODO and many channels on TV that caters to more programs to watch, more  movies, sitcoms/shows to view but for certain price. 

Anyway, most war stories are somewhat related to all the sports on TV. Think that everyday is April Fool's Day.

HOLY THURSDAY

 You wont believe I had a nightmare once again and that woke me up at a very early morning, about 4:30 AM and can't go back to sleep again. I waited for my hubby to go downstairs and ready the coffeemaker. What a nightmare. There are so many good dreams why that? 

I studied Psychology so maybe the nightmare was something to do with the last news I watched on our TV before I went to bed. Too many bad news out there regarding HATE & VIOLENCE against ASIANS.

Why? What is so damn wrong with ASIAN PEOPLE? That we are better looking, much more beautiful? I don't know what's the fuzz? Ha ha! That we are more confident and very educated? 

Oopss! I'm bragging. SORRY.

OMG! I think have to cover my face now too even if breathing with face mask is such a nuisance or bothersome. It's like, hey you cannot show your Asian face because you looked younger, smarter and pretty. 

Not the case. It is because of the stupid FUNDEMIC that started from foreign country whom they don't even know the language and its people. News should be based from factual events and if its fiction or untrue should not be promoted as news. They could have just label it as fiction not facts. If  it is the revival of the Spanish Flu and Imitation Game of Turing...what's next? WAR? They have to follow the world order ordinance because maybe that's the protocol given by UN or the OLYMPIC GAMES  COMMITTEE. F'that! Maybe each country's representative had series of games to play before they qualify just like in the movie "READY OR NOT." What the hell. Hellish. Are you gods and goddesses from Greek mythology? Are you pagans? ENOUGH is enough of this stupid pandemic. It was only FLU. Influenza. Why make bigger moles? Do you like skin tags? You get that from the heat of your computer. You are being hit with invisible bullet.

I hope everyone should have their duty of knowing what is good for your conscience. The News Media should choose the righteous way of broadcasting news that favors right from wrong and must uphold their duty as journalists. I know you all are having so much fun since the dawn of the pandemic. It is because of this fundemic that funerals are too busy and morgues are fully booked. But the population explosion is still exploding rapidly like where and why and how  the hell the influx of migration keeps adding up? It should be decreasing not increasing. That's why the right terminology is FUNDEMIC. And if some people are annoyed, pissed and going crazy it's because they had enough of the lies, deception and the failure of government to do the right thing. But do you think it's the fault of the GOVERNMENT? The Government is not the problem. Sorry Reagan. The problem and the conflict is within the __________!
