On Being Obnoxious, Rude and Unbelievable

Loads of laundry, house cleaning, cooking, cleaning the fridge and freezer. That was my Monday routinary chores. I would like to iron clothes but not enough clothes for me to iron. I have ironed dozen clothes before or almost have the clothes perma pressed neatly and hang them in the closet. Not a glamorous way to tell you seems like I'm this old maid from an old story. But that's what a good mother is. I know my son hate me for being just here at home doing the mother's work. I should be working in the office and look glamorous, gorgeous and sexy wearing an office girl's nice outfit and high-heeled stilletos. That's his ideal picture of a mother. Social and professional complete with make-up and wearing famous designer's sweet scented expensive perfume.

Dude if that's my appearance we wont have a family anymore! I'll be living in another house in the sub-urban area, in a high-class condo and I wont think about my children nor my husband. I'll be living my life alone and don't care about anything but my life and work nothing else. Now you know why too many women who took the charge to remain single. No other obligation and responsibility to deal with other than themselves.

Then a friend of mine who had one complaint that her son used to have these so many complaints whenever she arrived home. She was a working mom and she really doesn't have much time for her family. That her kids never see her most of the time because she is always busy working. That's what it is the complaints becomes bigger each passing day and eventually you know what happened afterwards. It's just like the movie of a dysfunctional family.

So many lives were intertwined and messed up with dreams, wishes and ambitions and people who cannot understand priorities until it happened to them. Ah, kids will be kids and their opinion is not so mature enough. It takes years, even generation to open up their minds. These kids are like "oak trees" before they can have self-actualization and realization of what life is.

Sometimes giving them example of the other families and their lives being played on TV which mirrored your life and the lives of those who watched them daily. Soap drama. You want a dramatic sort of inspiration to get you by? Watch TV drama and you'll learn from every episodes. I'm not a drama queen so having my own reality dramatic role at home is hard to come by. I could throw tantrums once in a while like throwing and breaking plates on the floor but God knows what kind of tectonic plate be inspired with my obnoxious act.

When You're Not Happy Face The Truth and It Will Set You Free

Are you sad and lonely? Depression starts to reel in? Ow'come on enough of the SAD please. Here's what I enjoy every morning: a hot brewed cup of coffee and a warmed toasted cinnamon buns. Then it's time to read the news through online newstation. I should open my television sets but sometimes it abruptly sends "no signal" dunno what it is. It was never like that before. I think the carrier is moving so fast that's why. lol. Weird.

So what makes my day aside from having my morning laundry. Oh, this quote by the stand up comedian Conan O'Brien is hilarious.

" Mitt Romney is at the Olympics. Mitt said he loves watching people from other countries work for no money." - Conan

Sounds sarcastic right?

The problem with volunteering. Working for no money. Maybe there are gifts afterwards who knows eh? I was a volunteer before. When I was young it was okay because volunteering is a great cause and its good for resume. You can use them for work related placement. But volunteering for the rest of your life? That's insanity. You can always say no to put a stop on this volunteering especially when an orghanization makes so much money because you don't want being ripped off and most of all show some IQ please. Learn to think and learn to argue because you have to make a living. You just cannot beg for alms. That's what happened with the volunteers long time ago. They always beg for money, for mercy and that's not what a decent human beings have to struggle with. You have your pride, dignity and most of all humanity is not based on volunteering alone. You have to WORK FOR THE MONEY so that you can uplift your economic status thereby uplifting your own family, and your country.

You are not in the face of war. You are not a refugee of World War I and World War II. Anybody who oppresses and tends to bully the poor needs to be kicked with justice. Justice for all. Play fair.

Let's Go Back To The Real World - TODAY

Oopsy daisy fresh as morning daisy. What's the good thing about Saturday? Supposedly not way too busy if you work five days a week because Saturday is a day to rest and so as Sunday. Not so hot, not so cold and darn that stupid fridge we have is not working properly. It's not as cold as it supposed to be even if we have the temp. lowered to negative freezer temperature. So bad! So-so bad!!

Don't tell me that kind of brand is good only for one year? I hope not. There is something wrong and we need a technician for that fridge. I think what happened is when it malfunctioned the first time when we had that black out for two consecutive days. That power failure was the culprit I could think of and that's how that fridge malfunctioned. Power 's out not because we didn't pay rent or electricity (hydro). Facts of life WE PAY RENT ON TIME even on advance payment so dunno what's the problem really. Slow moving economic rescue? That you can't blame me when I always provide solution. All solutions been tried and tested in the past. Present time, would that solution be applicable in this time? Sort of it's the same problem so the solution is possible and of vital importance.

The new technology no matter how great the brand name nor the gadgets put in place such as the materials but once those new gadgets and apparatus had those tiny LCD and microchips powered by "high power solar system and satellites" you'll know that there are possibilities of malfunctions.

I'd like to remember a time when all of a sudden my friend and I driving under the rain in a downtown area and suddenly her van stop abruptly. She checked everything, from its ignition, battery, the gasoline tank is half full. The van could run for at least 100 miles without stopping. She had the van checked at the shop only to find out that her van is powered by microchips computerized through the power of satellites up there in the sky. No wonder you are seeing vehicles that are brand new and then just destroyed one by one in Vin Diesel's movie. That you have to be smart in buying new vehicle.

Hard to believe eh? How many vehicles are like that now? You mean to say no matter how brand new vehicles and tech gadgets are when the satellite stop its function up there it's over? Well that happened to my digital camera before. Two of them stopped its function. It's more like "self-destruct." Haha! Parang movies ha? Pang Tom Cruise movie. Remember his sunglasses that self-destruct?

Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something given as a gift. Something cheap and something costly! Where to go, Diego? Yup Diego not Santiago. lol My humor may not be comprehensible to some of you because of how it's been delivered. It could be annoying or frustrating but hey dude, not jude it's not the end of the world yet. Life goes on.

Tel - E - VISION

It was AMAZING! It was SPECTACULARly stunning works of pageantry. It was like a serious movie based from the James Bond movie with a hint spoof from the British comedian Mr. Beans. It was star-studded, famous musicians, designers, architects, engineers, world athletes, thousands of volunteers and spectators all joined together to make this 2012 super extra ordinary. What else could you expect from the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games.

The highlights of the event covered four countries which represent four corners. Whatever that is. Too many secrets which of course the enigma of every Olympic Games event. Surely is of you are an avid English literature wonder you know the real story based from Great Britain's history. The opening ceremony tackles about the British era under the "industrialization of one's country, the cause and  effect of the coal mining, and it's all under the era of the Queen Elizabeth II's reign." So if you're wondering what happened to the era of Queen Elizabeth I, you'd better rent a video of  "The VConquest" and "Elizabeth I" the movie. Or you can read the British history and Encyclopedia Britannica.

With all the surprises involved in the making of this LIVE ceremony, the viewers were really thrilled and in awe. Awesome! Very British indeed.

It has all what it takes. So what's with the torch flame relay? That long?! From May 19, 2012 to July 27, 2012 is awfully longer than it would take from a balloon expedition around the world with all the loops and hazards of climate and what else?

So my "wheat" is there at the stadium. lol. You can call it a podium. You think it's rice? Well you can have calla lillies too. Your vision is important. Call it boquet of tulips or daffodils. Whatever you may call it but of course it's made of copper and there's a lot of fire.

Let the game begins. At least it's cooler afterwards. Who needs a hotter than a lava?

What Can You Get From Speaking of the TRUTH and Nothing But The TRUTH?

I know you're all waiting with so much enthusiasm on what really happened during the college years. I should have a book on HOW TO SURVIVE for your own perusal and viewing enjoyment. It was such a very long, long story and to have them all posted here in details will be or rather would be categorized as an OPEN BOOK. And what do I get from it? I have to be discreet in my dealings here through the net especially when I need not to post some of those names involved because they have private lives. I don't mind posting their names or the whole stories but you think those people would like being read here in my blog throughout the net? You'll never know what each opinionated mind is. Others would be enjoying the fun of reading their names as part of my stories yet there are certain particular fews who value their privacy and you'll never know they don't like being associated for fear of  the "unknowns or whatever consequences."

Besides what could they get from it. That's right what could other people get from reading their names as part of the story or blogs? If probably they are authors or writers of books they want as much publicity and if they are actors or actress or celebrity they might enjoy such free publicity. For ordinary person or group of people it's best to ask their opinion first. Each individual is different. One person would like being mentioned and the other person would like being hidden or let say would rather be anonymous. It's the same kind of ideology of authors from the past when they used pseudonyms. Why they have to resort to that kind of "hiding?" from others? What are they afraid of?

First of course as I said they value their privacy. Second, afraid being stalked by strangers or mobbed by public. Retaliation and rejection goes hand and hand. Threat from racial slur, injury, and being sued is the worst case scenario. How many tabloid writers, newspaper writers and moguls were then slap with libel? So many...you can't barely count for so many of them were sued per case basis. Each one asking for money or payment. How much a writer earns that time and as of today in this generation? I know for one thing that a newspaper writer decided it's best to cook and serve the readers with food and new recipe instead at her own expense. Cooking and baking using her own financial stability to maintain her readership so that she's still heard and be seen in the blogworld. Blogging and writing in the networld can be very competitive. It is superlatively     highly competitive.

Sun Sign For Aquarius

C/O  Telus
July 23, 2012
Health : You have a lot of energy to go around. It is time to put the brakes on, and reflect on your impulses.
Love : Even with the best intentions, you won't solve everyone's problems. Certain situations require that you just let destiny take over.
Money : You cannot do everything you want to do. This is sad, but true. You need to learn to live within your means.
Work : You have a fantastic project. Make sure you protect it legally. You don't want someone copying your ideas.

Note: Seems like the truth. I hope nobody's copying my idea because I have so many ideas in mind.

Options

I have lots of options taking place within limited and unlimited time. Consider me very lucky. I have to be optimistic in my view and sense of what tomorrow will be. I have to be able to forecast the trend, the weather and the next succeeding entry of others who opposed my plan. Oh don't worry about what kind of plan that is. It's always been GOOD if not greater. Economists are planners. They PLAN ahead of time. It has always something to do with economy. Anything, everything and everyone that makes money should be accounted for and everyone should make money or benefit from all those cause. The cause and effect. Nobody should be left behind. What else could have been eh?

Economist should be a trendsetter. Anything that has value and occupies space has value or take it as IMPORTANCE! Architect has a plan. They have blueprints and so as millions of engineers. Engineers for engineering equals W. A lot of W's. Wow!

Anyway time has passes us by so quickly and off I went shopping.

SENSEbilities

ONE last glance at the famous oblation statue and off we go to the next destination > HOME. The long waiting period took place until I received a telegram. Yes dudette telegram instead of telephone call (we don't have telephone), no cellphone or email address. 1981, Year 1981 is when no one can afford a computer because it's not in demand and computer is not the kind of machine we Filipinos would acquire to use and  learn. (!) (?) Duhhh! We believe in BOOKS. Cellphone? No one has cellphone yet that period of time nor year. You wont believe that only the well to do families or those with business, government and private companies have telephones. So what the telegram sent to me? UP (University of the Philippines informed me that BS Psychology is a quota course and it's already FULL. However, I can have the option to enrol in non-quota course which is VETERINARY MEDICINE. The ONLY available diploma course that time which they offer for me if I'm interested.

What? I was shocked. Who wont be? Who am I to have a degree in Veterinary Medicine? It's not even in my dreams. My God! I was unhappy at first but realizing I think it was sort of blessing in disguised. Thank goodness! Thank God!

Thinking about it and how could that be of quota program? Well, they only allowed to have an allowable list or numbers of students in every department. Knowing the standard of UP is so high and they have that "special treatment" for VIP's. You have to be rich, wealthy and very smart. Really? I was almost about to seek help from my Uncle Jerry who was a Summa Cum Laude in that University and working for Dole, Philippines. Then I realized I have so much pride. I have that so called HIGH PRIDE and dignity and better have to be on my own. If 94% mark is not enough then what could be the grade they want? Oh yes financial background. Who amongst you as a student in year 1981 has finacial stability or working in order to finance education? Not in Philippines. Most of the people I know relied on their parents for financial assistance in order to study, finish a certain degree in college and university. Even if after college education most of them are dependents of their parents. Well that's Filipino way of life. We're not Americans, Europeans  or Canadians. I'm not rich but not poor. My daily school allowance is just for my snacks of one pop, halls candies, juicy fruit gum, one buco pie and bus and jeepney fare. Five to ten minutes walk from home to the bus station, jeepney ride from Echague to FEU or walk from FEU to Echague so that we could exercise and save at the same time. Sometimes my bestfriend and I walked from Echague to FEU to have extra money. Many students did the same kind of saving. To save even more we stop having snack, we're on a diet , no snack just chewing gum. Actually other students from other universities decided to walk from UP to FEU. That's another story.

I was admitted in FEU (Far Eastern University) instead. It is also a prestigious university and unlike other universities in  Manila it is at the heart of the downtown shopping arcade, cinema > so many of them, bookstores, it is a university belt where other universities are close together in one zone area... fantastic! PERFECT PLAN! lol

Later did I know that it was only our Valedictorian who pursued her diploma course in UP with a degree in BS Marine Biology and at present time in Australia working as a Marine Biologist. The HS Salutatorian is now a famous doctor. I don't know if she was a UP Grad. or graduated from UST.

How time flies...Well too many golf balls flying. F O R E!

Complicated? Structural? What Could Be?

Cooler breeze makes me feel fine. Whew! After a long week of having that so called heatwave finally the hot weather subsides. There's more air than you can imagine. Thank goodness at least that would help put off some fire on other parts of the province. Canada should always have a temperate zone designed to not to exceed the temperature up to 25 degrees centigrade or else our ocean and marine animals will suffer. What will happen to the whales, to the dolphins, and other sea creatures such as the millions of salmon. Yes that salmon. Campbell River is known as the salmon capital of the world. This is where the hatchery of salmons. If the weather is hot the city will lose billions of dollar in revenues. Not only that the forest is also the source of livelihood for the people here in Canada and once engulfed in flames surely the people will suffer again from all these chaotic environmental problems. Besides who would like an extreme heatwave wherein you wont be able to breathe from exhaustion, suffocation from inhailing smoke from those debris. Anyway we all need to breathe normally and when the weather is cool that's the only way you can feel that it's good to be alive.

The other day I received a call from my son's professor. First time to hear her voice over the phone. Actually first thought it was somebody I know because of the similarity in tone of voice with my sister-in-law. But no, she is the Chemistry professor. There are subjects that my son is studying through online course and Chemistry is one of them. It's a very broad subject to discuss with, very interesting yet very challenging at the same time. I once peek on his Chemistry notes and realized their Chemistry is not the same as my High School chemistry. My chemistry in High School is nothing to be compared with his subject. Ours is more like elementary chemistry just the fundamental theoretical explanation of and definition of chemistry, chemical formula, and memorization of the chemical formula and its atomic numbers. Few experiments and valencing something to that effect. While his Chemistry is more than College Chem. Complicated chemical formula, chemical reactions, composition and structure of atoms, higher problem solving and solution need to be solved in a more elaborate way. It's more like a subject that should be complicated enough for those students who are engaged in a laboratory or let say students who should master that subject because it's a preparatory to his course for the diploma or degree. I don't think my son will take BS Chemistry. So why complicate things up?

Anyway, I overheard that a genius in that "school" has achieved a mark of 96 % to be able for him to pass in University. It turned out that 96% is not enough. SFU wont admit a student who passed High School and finished all the requirements administered by the school and having a mark of 96% doesn't qualify a student an entry to a university? What the hell is that? What could be the problem?

It could be the same problem I encountered when I took college entrance exam test in UP (University of the Philippines). I passed all the requirements to be able to take the UPCAT test. I had an NCEE (National College Entrance Examination) mark of 94 % only but I was qualified to take the test, together with my HS classmates who are Valedictorian (NCEE result 99%), Salutatorian (NCEE result 96%), two of my other classmates with NCEE result of 90% and 92% and off we go to UP Diliman. Before we took the test we have to choose the College course or University course we need to pursue. The test is not really that hard if you study or did the review but fresh from the  NCEE instruction and almost similar questionnaires, it's more than easy. Yeah the word is not that hard or complicated but it's the time that you have to watch or be concerned with. Because it's a time-pressured test everyone is nervous. Of course who wont be. After the exam we decided to roam our eyes and viewed the vast acres landmark of  U.P. it's structure, the buildings and wide open space. Hmmm....who would like to be a student of UP? You will need a golf cart to be able to get in to the next building. Or you need a car or any kind of vehicle to be able to transfer one building to another. If you're poor or the can't affords should have bikes or bicycle to have access. Unless of course if your subjects are all integrated in one building and that's where comfort is.

To be continued.

Back To My Canon-i-zation

Such a beautiful boquet of flowers. How lovely! Thank you sister for giving me variety of colorful flowers for my vase. I have it on display on our dining table and then snapshots took place. Of course my digital camera and my hands again snapping photographs. When there's not much of a story to weave I have to try something else to keep me busy. I hate being idle.

Favoritism

What this? The famous basketball player Steve Nash will no longer play for the Phoenix Sun. Really? Oh no! So that means he'll change his number 13 jersey? The number 13 seems to be source of goodluck for him but not for everybody! Even the movie Friday the 13th is not a good movie. It's a horror movie. You'll keep on screaming from the beginning up to the end. Beware Jason.  Number 13 is bad luck and you might ask why elevators don't have that number either. That's why it's better to have 13 changed to AC instead. Or if you want you can replace it with AC Cook. Or add DC for ACDC. Ay battery ba yun? Or BAKLA!!!!!!! Now that's funny. Too bad! I would rather be a fan of TBJ or the Braves or LA rather than NY. I don't know why but NY is not my kind of team. Never!

Yes I know we all have favorites and favoritism is one thing we cannot erase. Favoritism is more than common in schools, in the workplace, and maybe you'll question whether your own parents have favoritism too.

Uhm, I wonder if my Mother and my Mother favor my sister or my brothers more than me or all of us are created equal and we all are favorites based on merit not spoil. Read the Holy Bible and you'll find out that GOD also has favorites then the next of kin plays favoritism, nepotism too just like the generation of today. Remember Cain and Abel. Abraham and his sons. The sons of Jacob. David and Goliath story. They all have the same kind of plot and story that God favors the good, humble, meek, weak but religious people. Religious people always have offerings for the God and God is pleased with the offer but of course you cannot have that Abraham's offer of live human being to be a sacrifice. God is not that kind of Super Being who wants sacrifices in the form of death. What do you think of God? Are you that crazy?  That's why an animal was then used to be offered instead.  For the spoiled brats they know whose the favorites and that needs no further testing. You can see with your own eyes.

Playing favorites to your own children is not good. It might do more harm than good. Always play fair and have an equal treatment no matter what the cause is. That's tough I know but surely parents favor the girls more than the boys. Then what could be the result of that? Ah they will know once they have a family of their own.

It takes one to know one. So check your reality before it's too late.

It's Not Only Air That You Have To Surround Yourself With

You want to be smart? Surround yourself with smart people. Not only smart but yes but, with opinionated talkative people. Well rounded personality is a must in the advertising company. The artist for advertising company doesn't need to be talkative but it is necessarily for that person to be able to reason out what his (or her) idea so that he can defend whatever project he wants to be fulfilled. Although there are managers who can able to grasp the idea from a non-talker artist by looking at the plan, the project or from the draft made by the artist. However how many managers are capable of thinking the same way what the artist are projecting? So it's really a matter of surrounding the company with all the SMART people who can be relied on many aspects of the project.

Well for the most part big companies don't hire anybody out of the blue. They will hire from many applicants who sent their comprehensive resume and from those biodata the human resource manager can able to do the over all testing of those applicants. Test such as IQ test, Abstract, Comprehension in English, Mathematical skills plus the interview panel interview or just a face to face interview by the manager vs. applicant. The other plus to be reconsidered? Recommendations from people whom that person has worked with in the past in the form of "references." Small company don't need to do such standard testing. In the Philippines the above testing is more common than usual because of  severe extreme competition. Just one vacancy from a prestigious company there are about hundred thousand to million applicants. What if the priority is you have to be a graduate of a prestigious university? So that limit the applicants from hundred thousand to at least 75 thousands? Then what if "whom you know, not what you know system took place?" There > that's the huge problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Surround yourself with smart people who can solve problems and provide better solutions to the burgeoning hazards and buzzards of that filthy corrupt  system.

Something New, Something Old and In Between.

I don't know why that "somebody" is copying my life story? Do you know why? She should have her own life besides she's famous and maybe rich. Oh I just read a tabloid and her sort of drama seems to be the same or let say similar to my own drama. Anyway my life is not a drama it's a mix of all emotions combined. After all my life is very colorful from the time I was conceived. I must have been so talkative when I was very young that some of my stories about extra super naturals were then made into books and were then made into movies. Darn I should ask my grandmother Honorata. Unfortunately she is already dead. That her life in part was already been made into movies also. Yeah that famous and award academy winner "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon." That's her life story magnified but during the early years of 1912 to World War II. I don't know why in Chinese version though. So weird!

Oh My God! I don't know what to do with my son whose life gets complicated recently being away from home to attend the Art School. At 17 years of age and home and family is way too far away everything get so complicated as a whole. No doubt! Being in a new territory, with new school, too many strangers, city life which can be very exhausting for such a young man like him. Consider that he is very shy and too shy to ask questions. I usually advise him  to question or made an inquiry if he cannot understand what he needs to do at the school. In the brochures they have live in staff to assist the new students. So what those staff are doing then? That's all it takes, you didn't understand, or you didn't hear the lecture properly then let the teacher or instructor repeat it for the sake of not only him or the students in class. Always keep on focus, always face the teachers what they are talking about. Jot down notes on your notebook. Always be prepared for you'll never know when the teacher has to call you for recitation or to explain to the class what you learned. Always LISTEN. Never mind the students around you but keep your focus on the instructor's order of command. That's what it should be. If you are opposed to the task at hand then inform and state the reasons why. That's how simple it is. I know some instructors are very strict and don't want to repeat what they said. If you cannot  hear it at first and 2nd instructions then there is problem with comprehension, understanding or it has something to do with "hearing."

What could be? We attended a meeting before the graduation ceremony and there was this long instructions spoken by the school administrative staff. Everyone listened but after the meeting, heard some students said like they cannot understand what she was saying. Well the arena is quite wide and I don't know if they have microphone there because her voice is really not that loud enough to be heard. However when she told me about "triangle" the position of the chairs that she wanted to be in that type of arrangement duh, so be it. Make a triangular shape position or arrangement and suddenly the students helped in that process. Making sure the chairs are in alignment to the pythagorean theorem whatever! lol Okay the kids were amazed of the triangle sort of. Even the school valedictorian was elated to have it burn.  The burning continued in Colorado that time. Why in Colorado?! Solve it for me and get a prize of an avalanche. Duh again, next days we're all passengers of the ferry boat Cowichan ahahahahaaha! Ha! That's really funny. That's my new novela. Amazing? Or just awesome?

Make it a square! The roof is too much when it's OVER THE ROOF! It becomes a fiddledee twiddledee.

What's hitting the airwaves nowadays? Call me maybe or Payphone? Be the judge.

Dran! Is that the only way we can make money? Is there any other work around so that you and I wont be beggin' heheheheeh. Jokes. Jokes. Can't find work in the rural area? Go to the urban city and try your luck. We all should try our luck in some other endeavor when the city cannot provide the right stuff then it's time to move on. Okay who's moving? You? Next?, Next. Next. Miss Christy Clark yuhooo...j/k I watched her being interviewed on TV last night and she was aware that despite her effort to represent the people in her riding still is she heard so much negativity but that's what is politics. Politics is about personal attack, battle of wits, the law, justice, pros and cons and political science. We need to see some result and she did us good for increasing minimum wage. The GST and PST being lowered or reduce? Time will tell. Keep up with the good work Miss Clark.

Did my work at home. Not the general cleaning I left some other works to do for the realtors to clean. ha ha. Really my house is not that pigsty. Even if I didn't clean the house for three to four days still is clean and order. There are few scattered retazo from the new outfit I'm sewing today. The quilted bag I'm supposed to finish before but unable to continue because I need extra meter lining for that. Two party dress, vest, and spaghetti strap blouse finished on time. So that's all folks! Got to have my rest my spinal cord is really bad. It hurts.

What Else Is New?

PATAY NA SI IDOL! OMG! The King of Comedy Dolphy is now dead! Confirmed na ba talaga yan? He's my favorite comedian. The best actor in comedy. Walang tatalo sa kanya sa tutuo lang. Rest in peace Dolphy, sure we'll forever miss you and your jokes.

The actor-comedian left behind so many loved ones. A huge clan, beautiful wives and oh the beautiful Zsa Zsa Padilla, the crooner. Speaking of the Padilla's they are not only from well to do family and clan they are endowed with beauty and handsome actors with the like of Robin Padilla. No doubt mga guapo at guapa ang angkan nila. Two of the Padilla's were my classmates in Far Eastern University (FEU), namely Nonette and Esmeralda. I don't know if they can recognize me or remember me back then. Sosyal sila from the burgis clan while me? Naka, jeffrox ako eh. Ha ha ha ha! So my own world is different from them. Then si Dr. Rowena Padilla naman she's one of the doctors at DRTS @ the Department of Health. She's very friendly and accomodating. Always with a smile to everyone. Ah,  siguro dahil medical representative ako noon kaya ganun sya kabait. Pero hindi talagang mabait siya hindi sya snob.

Anyways, sa wake at funeral memorial ni Dolphy tiyak mapupuno ang simbahan ng mga artista. Unforgettable talaga tong si Dolphy. He was the king of television noong araw during the "John and Marsha" TV series. Kuwela talaga siya then include the many big stars who were with him in that TV show such as Nida Blanca, Maricel Soriano, Dely Atay-Atayan, Matutina, noong araw na buhay pa si Pugo kasama din nila but then when he died other newcomers were replaced pati ata si Donya Buding sinali na at si Aruray. It was Ading Fernando who created that longest running TV show. He created the story I think and he was the director. Mamimiss ka namin Dolphy. Condolence to the family and clan of  the Philippine's best artist comedian. Tiyak maraming iiyak dahil hindi naman nakakatawa ang kamatayan.

Life is short. Art is long. So make the best of what you can do for today, tomorrow and in the future. Make every minute worthy of praise so that at the end of every day you'll have peace of mind. Always thank the people who helped you through because these "people" who helped you achieved and fulfill your needs and undertakings are the true image and reflection of God. If you do something good for others you bet there are people who have a good heart and will help you throughout your ordeal whatever that is. Always follow the golden rule.

Tactical To Practical

I was given a trivia by the VP of a certain school and another school in another parts of the province. I know how to deal with it provided that what those people involved refer to me that I should be doing it in time limited manner or did she really know me to impose such obstacle on my part? For what? Am I part of their charade, game theory or acting like crazy? For the most part I was there just to help make things easier and convenient for all of us. Saving time, saving energy and make things , stuff, the maze, the process smooth and easy once again FOR ALL OF US. Is that bad that the INVISIBLE HANDS always intervene?

Now what? To make matter worse and complicated for some many of them when simple matter is just a worthy of praise or to be recorded for the sake of  an honest to goodness ACT. What kind of act? That we have to find out. See I am not an actor nor an actress. I am not a celebrity to be with celebrity. I am not a person that needs to be associated with celebrities and spoiled brats. But they keep insisting themselves on me. They appeared near or close to my own perusal. What can I do? Am I not supposed to say, "get out of my way." Get lost or stay away from me. I am a human being and I don't need your presence in my way. Now if you're in disguised that's a different story. When you pretend that you are that person with that name other than the name you use on the widescreen then you are to be dealt with as that same ordinary person not as a celebrity. You understand? Don't let yourself overwhelmed that you are a shining star and you deserve privacy. The world is not yours. Who do you think you are?

Anyway, things are so much complicated in this part of the globe. Others may understand what I'm thinking and others cannot. You may have your own opinion and that's okay. We have to respect each other's opinion no matter what. Every one has idea of its own that too be respectful of the ideas of others. Learn to appreciate their idealogy and doctrines as you might want them to appreciate your own idealistic point of view.

Many people tend to slow down and act appropriately with caution. Others have to be in a rush as if time is running out and there's not enough time to contemplate and to think it over. Rushing to the finish line is good when you are running to the speed without hurdles and obstacles or in a straight path. Driving in a straight path one direction is easy it's like sewing in one straight line for stitches. Driving and sewing has that pedal you use for the smooth run but it gets complicated when there are lots of contours, hazards, and many uphills and downhills, loops and let me say loopholes? There can be so many visual impairments such as when the weather is too hot and unbearable, stormy weather condition, icy, wet, slippery, snowy, flood, smoky, foggy situation such are those I mentioned can impaired vision. Need to add so much traffic and it's more like wasting your time on the maneuver when your own vehicle doesn't move at all because there are so much movements that hinder you vehicle for being stagnant and not moving to the right direction.

With all these hazards what can we make out of it? Presence of mind. As usual TACTICAL TO PRACTICAL ! Make moves that you can be thankful for the immediate intervention.

Economics the Social Science is A Great Plan

What?????!!!!!! You hate me for turning into commercialism? My God! That was so rude of you! I first thought I found a great reader who can understand. Well not because I have a degree in Economics which basically my blog should possess something to the effect that leads to the value of business sense and duhhh.... advertisement. I'm turning to be an economist. It's what matters in this point of time. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm always right with my point. Or I could be pointless and be in a circle of friends and acquaintance that the value of blogging is more than deliberately for entertainment plus the fact that it always help in my own capacity to learn more and practice my skills.

Did you know that when yahoo 360 blog was re-invented there is that one guy who specified the value of blogwriting as it helps maintain social networking as a whole stabilizing the role of each individual in a given productive society. Well, we are all consumers here. We are buyers and sellers. However the capitalists are more than welcome to join for with them you always have capital to produce an ample amount of products and therefore as the saying goes there'll be distribution and equal opportunity for the buyer and seller but more to it is that demand for labor and supply. Love the cycle of such economy isn't that what the world needs? making life more easier, convenient and bearable for all of us.

Let's have one particular good example of buying and selling process:

JK once said that if you sell your ebook novel for just 99 cents would be that good and affordable? I think so! If you have one million readers who bought that novel of yours from ebook multiply 1,000,000 X .99  and you get the result that makes that author richer than you think. Yeah provided that there's really a good honest and reliable accounting. What if one reader let five other readers read that novel for free? Or one buyer let 100 hundred of his friends read that material for free? So that one million - (minus) 100 readers  off the total count.

Anyway, sounds negative about such marketing eh? But how we project things. The positive and negative consequences about the marketing strategy. And that's how economist think. That's why there are so many plans involve. If plan A failed, next is plan B...and so on. The plan never stop.

That shows how challenging Economics is. It's very broad subject to tackle with and your mind always is busy. Would you like to have busy minds? And that's why it's advisable not for the economist to drive a vehicle. Or rather have it in auto-pilot. lol.  Planners need to concentrate on their multi-tasking delicate sensitive issue that all people can learn, manifest, helped and be productive and direct the nation in a better economic situation.

It's about time to move on.

OMG! Now I'm craving for leche flan.

The economic plan continues >>>

Are You A CHESS Addict?

How about a true confession of  CHESS. Not the chessmiss you usually spread all over the internet. This is a Chessmiss about brainiacs. Yes dude and dudettes if you know how to play chess and know all the moves of each piece and you keep on winning like Karpov, Fisher, Torre, and the many chess champions and afficionados you should join the generals in their mind boggling status of  strategic plan.  Remember only with brains play this kind of game.

Even mathematicians, generals and physicists have to be aware of the value of those important pieces.
Chess is a popular game in many parts of the world especially in Russia, Germany and the Middle East. Many asians also knew how to play this game for it also represent the moves and strategy in the arts of war.

Now to make it enticing for children even potato heads are also of value to this very special kind of game. Why not? Don't they have brains too? lol. Now that's hilarious.

Well of course this chess game had its origin from the ancient world when kings and queens participated in a designated battle between kingdoms. It was played during the Camelot era through the round table of King Arthur, Robin Hood and his merry men. The Kings and Queens during the Elizabethan period and many era and regime of chivalry and heraldry as time goes by an important indoor leisure game for the most busy minds in our time. Knights and pages played this awesome game and their strategy is more than amazing. Just don't let the King and Queen be captured nor the most important pieces or it's gonna be the end of the game. Make sure you have a special pawn who can reach at the end of the other side of the board and be the queen for eternity. Uhm do the bees played this game too? Hmm, curiousity...doesn't kill a cat.
Try to 'battle your wit' with autistic people and find out if autism really is about puzzles. Could be just like the rule of the chess, just like oligopoly. It's more than science as it is more than psychology and physics combined. Remember it's a MIND GAME. A WAR GAME.

Just a G A M E. So please don't play your charade with me.

Now what? Ah, this beautiful scenery so majestic and truly amazing isn't it. I would like to have a lovely garden just like this image above. Have that spectacular pavo real or royal peacock as it spread its extra ordinary gorgeous wings its glorious fan-like feathers provide magnetism for every passersby.

As I said before there could only be six. Six important pieces to make it to win the game. Oh darn what a family.

Okay make sure you have a family and put God first in your mind and in your heart and you'll never go wrong.

I know there'll be temptations from the demons and the devils but hey GOD is more powerful than any beings on this planet earth. He can change the earth, He can change the world. He can also change who you are and how you think so that you'll be a better person and when you are a better person you get to win time and time again.

NOTE: Thanks to the creative minds of the creator of the "images above." Surely their photographs are very special and mor ethan helpful with my topic of discussion for today.

What We're In Search Of? Do You Know?

As the saying goes, we cannot always stand by the bridge or else we'll end up like trolls. There are lots of land connecting the other parts of the land. There are too many boats, ships and ferries to cater all the people from all walks of life wanting to reach their own destination, stay and live where great opportunity awaits them. Not that I'm saying that there is no opportunity in the main island but simply to re-assure that whatever suits your own potential and skills.

The main Vancouver is truly a place where opportunity knocks for the new immigrants where schools and universities are 'abundant in nature' due to its population bigger than the rest of the cities in British Columbia. No doubt that the bigger cities have better access to transportation, government service, private corporations, business establishments but the point is what really is in demand. Demand for labor and demand for supply always taking place in a very populated land. That's always been the case no matter what. But to live in a sub-urban city you need to have a good job, high paying job to be able to afford a convenient way of life or else you'll end up homeless.

We're almost the first one to arrive at the ferry dock. Thank goodness for the reservation. After few minutes more vehicles small and large sizes: trucks, cars and vans including commercial vehicles, harley davidson group of bikers arrived before the boarding time to depart. There are foot passengers too. It was peak season when the BC Ferries run almost non-stop. Sometimes there are about 12 sailings schedule from each terminal daily to accomodate the public from Nanaimo to the mainland Vancouver or Vancouver to Nanaimo terminal. The crossing takes one hour and 35 minutes at the most. Within that time period you can have your meal or snacks at their cafeteria inside the ferry boat. You can browse and shop at their souvenir shop with all products available at your own convenience. They have a special bookstore section beside the magazine and newspaper rack. There's a mini playground for children eqipped with video game arcade, there are public phone, access to computer and laptop hook-up connection. There are smoking and non-smoking deck. Too many available seats from the cafeteria to all sides of the ferry, from the left side to the right side and through the hull. Ferry is way convenient way to travel by sea because not only you can have your vehicles parked at the deck of the boat you have the chance to see what's happening outside the boat, enjoy the sightseeing of other boats passing by, view the mountains and small islands. Sad to say we didn't see any orca or blue whales from the ocean. I think you need to book a special tour to be able to view such magic nature splendor of whale watching.

For the most part be contented to see some odd guys who seemed to look like people you only see on movies and TV. No screaming please. Nothing to scream about. Everyone on board are "almost celebrities." Or have ties with with celebrity so nothing's so special.

Ferry boat's 22 knots? We arrived safely on time and it's time to have that long driving once again.

Nope it's not sunrise! The blinding bright of the sun setting down is somewhat nostalgic. How's that?  Sunset here in Canada and sunrise in asian countries.
Weird sun that day. It's brighter and huge. Yeah the diameter of that sun in that period of time is somewhat peculiar. I wonder why.

Almost close to our final destination. A lot of cloud changes in the night sky. Ha! I am being nostalgic of how Galileo had that moment of awe while he tried to discover the movements of Venus and other satellites and how those movements affect all the guiding theories made by Aristotle.

Happy, geeky, sad, emotional and I've discovered something for myself while the rest of "them" have to discover something for themselves.

Travelogue Part VII

Highway 99 enroute to the famous fabulous Lions Gate Bridge I know right there there's gonna be a winner.

Winners actually! No other words to explain it.

More
snapshots while husband keeps driving. More clicks here and there.

Then end of the bridge and the long driving will soon end. Until then nobody will ask, "are we there yet?" I wont be impatient nor my kids. We did what we're supposed to do there in Vancouver. A multi-purpose goals and aim rolled into one and one by one all these goals are being achieved.

Mission accomplished!

More mission to come? Eh?

Honestly there are more stories to tell and narrate. Long stories but have them short cut for those the very impatient readers who want to end it all and read other news, interesting story, novels and all. I know this is not hunger games nor hunter's games. It's more of a strategic plan. Still is a game. I would like one day be used in my next narrative, in my next novella with more appropriate use of lexicon, more action, and pleasant surprises but as I told you before BLOGGING is different. Blogging is instant gratification and direct to the point approach to get what you want right away in a matter of hours in one day or less than a day. It's not a ballooning in 80 days. That's done already. At the end of the day I could only prove that really there are "invisible hands" who are more than willing to lend their hands for such a good cause. Totally awesome! Thank God!

Travelogue Part VI

The aerial view of  West Vancouver to the left side of the island where Whistler is located. Wouldn't it be perfect if they have an observatory telescope to see further?

The famous Lions Gate Bridge to the right side of  Highway 99. The right side of the island is the North Vancouver the Grouse mountain and Mount Seymour is located.

People going up and down the stairs all wanting to have a glimpse of the bridge and the English Bay.
Yours truly in my Lula Belay outfit. OMG! What a dress-up! What a set-up!! No wonder why my daughter's so shy and ashamed of me. Aahahahaha! Uhm,  actually to be honest she is very helpful and kind throughout this process. She's always been such a good girl. She may have tantrums once in a while but it's understandable. I'm more than weird that is hard to approach.

Father and daughter looking at the English Bay watching the many boats, motor boats, sailboat  and yachts, passing the bridge moving to the left side of the bay.

Lowden's Lookout? Time to read what's in it...it's message to the public.

Our tour is more than a tour it's almost an educational tour for all of us. What to see and experience in a big city in urban city. Living in a rural area makes you appreciate the value of not so crowded place with so much room to breathe and explore. Here you can explore in their wide park of arcade and avenue designed to meet multi-racial needs and wants. As you know Vancouver seems to be the melting point of the world's race. There is too much diversity and you can figure them out from all the people you'll meet face to face everywhere you go. Just there at the "highest stand point" where you can view the next big island with all their tall buildings, condos and tower once again.

One last look and off we go.

Travelogue Part V

What's in there? What to see at the Prospect Point. It's the tourist destination for new immigrants, expats, tourists and for the citizens of Canada. It's a place or point of destination. It's where the Zoo, Aquarium, and Theatre are located. The Stanley park is inside this point of prospect. What else?  Oh you know what? We have problem at first where to park, too many vehicles, too many people. Anyway you cannot just leave your vehicle just like that or it will be towed away. You have to pay for the parking space and time. $ 3.00 ! Yes three dollars parking fee. Good that we have enough coins in our purse. Uhm, imagine about thousand parked their vehicles there that alone makes money for the park even if you are not to buy from their cafe restaurant ,deli store and souvenir shop.

Can you just believe that this point of prospect which I only read and viewed through the "The New Book Of Knowledge" page 406 under British Columbia page is just right there for me to see with my own eyes. With cold vanilla ice cream on hands ^ this is it!

So this is it, the view of the famous Prospect Point. Those two tall trees didn't change much. The other tree almost bald probably nesting place for the bald eagles to rest.

Hot, humid, need to breathe and enjoy the view.

Searching for trail signs and suddenly seen a running creature a brown colored tiny creature furry and with its familiar peculiar chirp of a chipmunk. I screamed in delight wanting to capture it with my digital camera. Sad to say that creature is way too fast hiding unto the bushes. Somebody said it's not a chipmunk but a squirrel. Whatever!

Okay whatever is the word. Tell me to stop I'm also tired and bored. he he.

Travelogue Part IV

Crossing bridge and bridges along the way.

Crossing so many highways.

After passing all the many skyscrapers at the downtown area here we are seeing a two storry house - establishment. Passing all the variety or roses and many ornamental plants at their garden...

A native gate at the park

A long walkway front view of the Lions Gate Bridge, frequently been the park of choice for those dog owners, lovers, joggers, and bike riders

A huge tree on the side of the road going to the next phase

Until we reached the Prospect Point cafe area, looked for the vacant parking space and felt that it's really not that cool anymore. The weather suddenly turned muggy hot and unbearable. I felt sweating from head to toes and I was wearing thick clothes. When we left home for this tour the weather was awesome, cold and just right. That's what it supposed to be. Okay let say it's summer time and over 20 degrees centigrade is a must in that area. It's my first time to be in that place so I don't really know what it could be the weather besides park with lots of tall trees, with forest should be cooler right?
