I received another letter from a prankster. Yes I do have to call that lady a prankster for having to send a very annoying letter of content that it made me frown.
So I think to make her smile or grin from ear to ear I will post my old, very old pic of mine with my cat who has 14 stripes.
You know Alicia you are another stone in the milky way and I love throwing stones at your stone. Don't you have enough salt?
Here's another riddle? What happened to a fire once pinch of salt is thrown at its center? Do you know Alice in Wonderland? I know you love to dance with the wolves. Why dance when you can sing?
My kitty cat knows! I hope you do know about it. Or only the philosopher and physicist knew about colors?
Sometimes there are cues and miscues in blogging. I know and aware that some of you are reading my blogs for the sake of curiousity I think. One way or another you learned from every details arising from any of my many blogs here in the internet. There are probably few people who hate my guts and for my very direct approach to tackling my negativity in some aspects of my life. Okay you can fool yourself by being too positive in your method of facing the light and life of yours but who's fooling yourself but you. Some of us are over conscious and pretentious and I want them to be honest and sincere because I'm not here to be glamorous and plastic just like you are. I hate liars and most of all nonsense super duper pretentious people who think they are so good and full of cliche'
What blogs are for? If you are just fooling yourself this is not the right medium for 'ya. You know and I know when life sucks and stop sending me some crappy messages.
Okay? Enough of that. Truth hurts it's true. What doesn't hurt?
Since my tiger cat is in the picture I would like to relate a story about our family pet. Actually this is a true story. Our family cat is named Tiger because of its hairy color and the peculiar stripes it covered its skin. We had that kitty cat for over five years. She grew up with us and nursed the baby puppy that was brought to us in our home by our uncle who at that time was Charlie's friend and co-star in war movies.
Our cat gave birth to too many tiny cute kittens plus having that baby puppy who at that time barely able to open up its eyes but lucky enough that the mother tiger cat able to nurse all of them. My grandmother likes tiger but not all his kittens. She had asthma and the fur balls from these handful kittens are suffocating her health so she dumped the kittens right there at the concrete well near the hospital. Nobody wants the kitten though, the neighbors don't want any. I feel sorry for those kittens.
However, the next day we were shocked when here comes the group of kittens at our doorstep. Gheez what happened? How these cute teeny weeny kittens able to come back at our home? Grandmother got so mad, furiously she sacked them all and returned to the well again. You think they would able to return? Who knows?
Thinking about the well, near the hospital where too many strayed cats and jumping frogs where my sister and I used to gather at least two frogs for their Biology experiment made me cringe because of the many old stories about the cobras that were released during the Japanese Filipino American war. Maybe, maybe those kittens will just stay there for good together with other mature cats away from my grandmother. The rest of my old stories are just part of my novela and relating some of them would be a spoiler. So---ciao for now!

I tried the counter once again. I'd like to know if it really work or hackers get in there before I officially applied it in one of my blog's page. You know some people here from "wherever" they are are trying to dismantle what I will have to forecast today. No I wont announce here who will win in the Grey Cup. It is not about the color although people are raving for something BRIGHT.
Like flies loving the flame of light from the oil lamp, from the light bulb, ceiling light and headlights and all the lights you can imagine.
Grey Cup is not really as "huge celebration" like that of the Superbowl where in the most awaited funfare of commercials are switched on every after game break. Those advertisements that sponsored the games enough to pay for the whole celebration as big as promoting the Olympic Games.
How big is this advertisement on TV? HUMONGOUS! Advertisers paid MILLIONS OF DOLLARS just to have their AD seen on TV even just a glimpse of less than 5 minutes.
I remember the time when we had to accompany a neighbour of ours to have a 4 minute insertion of their company's advertisement before the movie begins at the cinema. Just less than five minutes of being aired on the cinema screen their company has to pay at least P50,000 to P100,000. And mind 'ya this story is as old as 1979. What about now in Year 2009? Maybe a minute advertisement would cost a company double or quadruple amount of money. P50,000 X 4
Can you just imagine how much the Coca Cola Bottling Company pays for their ad on television? Maybe mind boggling! Or some other commercials such as beer, wine and other popular product. That's why some companies would rather create their own way of being heard and seen.
The inexpensive way to commercialized product of choice is always "WORD OF MOUTH." How the consumers feel about the product endorsed by your family, friends, and other people who consumed, used and have the products thereby they really know what those items are. If it works or not. The true consumers & buyers knew all. Caveat emptor!

Textile Variety In Many Forms
Finished Projects: Zabrina style chinese blouse and East indian costume with religious designed print -relic of deity
Hectic schedule for me today thinking about the " to do list" makes me feel dizzy. I'm so glad that I was able to buy some items I need for my next sewing project. Finishing touches for the 4 zabrina style blouses were done accordingly and in time. The only problem is I have to lose weight and my daughter has to gain at least 2 to 3 pounds of weight so that I don't need to alter the blouse I made for her.
I showed the finished project to my sister Ems and she praised me real good for having the talent to accomplish such task. It was a painstakingly difficult to sew a very delicate fabric. Not only you have to change the needle of the sewing machine few times, change the right thread, and most of all to provide the right textured back lining for the shiny, satiny fabric that I used. Apply oil into the machine when it get's rusty or having that funny clank sound.
Together with my sister we found some few textiles that were on sale at the store. Can't find what I was looking for then I moved on to the other store next to it where hundreds of rolls of textile are located. That store is my mini-divisoria. Too many choose from the wide array of assorted fabric design, color, textured, embossed, you name it it's all there. From textile variety such as: silk, cotton, rayon, wool, linen, chenile, chiffon, stretch, tencel, cashmere, pinna ( made from pineapple fibre), fleece, corduroy, charmese, canvas, denim, eyelet, doubleknit, gabardine, faux fur, felt, floral, ganze, gingham, jacquard, lace, lining, metallic, micro fibre, mink, moleskin, dilcloth, organza, paisley, pique, plaid, poplin, print, satin, sheer sucker, shamtung, shirting, slinky stripes, suede, velvet, fabric for upholstery and quilted materials. They also have a wide selection of thread, buttons, and zipper and ribbons. I could live in that store for the rest of my life and I'll be the happiest ever by just staring at those materials. I mean I could probably be sitting and doing the many projects I have in my mind.
My sister was once employed in a textile research institute and she knows best the best material ever for any clothing garment and accessories. While my knowledge about textile started when my Mother used to sew clothes mostly dress including the Vietnamese momo dress in 1968. Besides, my college thesis also has something to do with raw silk production.
Oh I love textiles! My fondness for the weaving technology has engrossed my curiousity to creativity. I do hope it offers a glimpse of yourself when clothing is absolutely a basic necessity. The kind of clothing you wear is sometimes a reflection of your own personality. Believe it or not.

My kids arrived home from school with a friend in tow, the eldest went straight to the kitchen and look around for food. I still have the pound cake on the counter but I guess they are tired of having that cake most of the time. He just grabbed a can of fruitopia instead. When I looked at the box only few cans were left from inside. I never thought they would like it because its less sugar in that juice drink.
I'd better think of something better to cook for supper as I told myself. Hurriedly I end up slicing potatoes stripped them into thin slim sticks for fries. Ready my deep fryer for the fries then start marinating barbecue chicken breasts. Had stir fried minced beef and mushroom, steamed asparagus. Later my husband brought home cabbage and freshly hand peeled shrimp for salad.
After all is done, supper's finished I didn't receive any complaints which is good. How will they complain with the best cooked meals on the table brought on by the best mom in the world. Yucks. They should thank me instead though. Anyway, I remember my son had only one complaint. You know what? He advised me to lose weight because I'm getting too fat.
I didn't get angry at what he said. It's true! I am gaining so much weight. As a teenager (long time ago) my weight is only 88 lbs. Very slim and petite. My waistline is only size 22 " in that period of time. Then I started eating lot of junk foods and my waistline has increased to size 24 (inches). After having three children I never regain back the size that I once have when I was single. Too bad! After being in the kitchen most of the time, cooking and baking I ballooned to a size I can no longer admit. too shy to be photographed.
Last night as I was busy sewing a new dress I couldn't believe the measurement. Looking at the pattern, seeing myself in the mirror, then back to the table whether I have to cut the fabric to its desired correct sizes, seam and everything in it I found myself in denial like whose dress I am creating. This is not mine! My mind is screaming that the shape of the dress is just so straight. It's more like the size of a drum.
Then here comes my son again looking for dessert and butt in again and blurted, " told 'ya mom you have to lose weight so that it will fit!"
Too much all purpose cupcake! Dude!

Because the cold boring weather wont cooperate with us here in our community I am back to my sewing expertise, adding lining to my black square pants. Not the square pants of Spongebob but a different style has similarity with the shogunate of Japan. All I need is a sharp shiny double blade samurai. Ows!
Yeah I have this natural love or fondness for having the same style of pants worn by the courageous shoguns in the Tokugawa Dynasty. It only reminds me of the many telemovies made by the famous Shintaro-the blind samurai. You know him? Maybe not. My friend Miyuki cannot even recognized the guy. She doesn't know who Shintaro or Watanabe or Kobe. It made me look old. Ah those old series we watched in our old Sylvania television, black and white (no colored TV yet in 1971).Sige na nga kamukha nya si star Trek William Shatner. Aahhahahah. Bulag nga talaga ako eh.
Okay forget it if a Japanese doesn't knew who Shintaro is, nor the other shoguns and ninjas maybe, maybe Shintaro was actually a Japanese Filipino actor. It could be the youngest version of Fernando Poe the actor. They have the same face resemblance. Don't you think so?
Anyway, I went shopping for some fabric and found some imported textiles from China. It could be from China. Who else would have manufactured such intricate expensive looking textiles. So my first thing in mind flashed an idea about what style is best suited to that kind of sateeny fabric. I have two simple options. I hope the end result is more than pleasing or else I would have to resort buying another fabric or rather purchase an already made blouse. Whatever.
I received a newsletter from school. Great I don't need to look at their website. I don't know if I have to inform you about what's up there or it's their business to inform others? They will host a Christmas Craft Fair showcasing : Clothing, jewelry, crafts, cards, toys and food. Their school food concession is also open for those who would like to taste their delicious yummy delicacies. Where is that Fair Trade located? Here's the address if you are interested.

Something Awfully sweet From A Bitchy Woman Like Me
BEFORE I have a copy of what I have to write here in my blog then I have to revise them and read them thoroughly 3x or as much as I would like to have a perfect composition. Now? I couldn't care less. I 'd rather blog with the same force as might as conviction to let it all out. I mean it's a blog readers would like to read BLOGS not newspaper. Although there are several writers who are eloquent and prolific when it comes to writing. Paid writers and authors who are bounds or binded with certain policies and guidelines. Writers who keep their articles published on a deadline and in accordance with their assignment whether field or at their own particular specialization.
Yeah it's good to be a blogger at least we all have the freedom as much as we have the desire to choose which one is better for our own space and time.
I don't have any recollection of abusing my blog just for the sake of fame. If its fame that I would be aspiring throughout my blogging years I would choose a certain persona of such a very nice person different from who I am. I'm a bitch most of the time and bitchy woman like me have no real friends. Unfortunately! (Sigh and cry like a cute baby! Wink wink!)
Others may send some smoke and I'm inhaling the second smoke but couldn't care if I send them some fire so that they can cook better meals for all of us.
Don't you think so?
Ah, what happened to our world? To our environment? Hehe! Becoming more of a Greenpeace advocate here. Ha. As if.
What we got from China today? Mandarin oranges or sunkist? Why not? They are so sweet and delicious!

Are you a goof?! What is a goof anyways? Lots of goofy guys nowadays. I can pin point almost every one out there not only in the blogworld even the smartees you usually admire have moments of goofiness.
You think they are just making us laugh? That their humor is out of this world? Trying to be cute for us to giggle or chuckle even if there is nothing to be laugh at.
I am not goofy although I found something very funny in almost every lil' things I see with my own eyes. Things and situation that is not funny to you maybe so funny and it brings a smile on my face.
This morning I think I have seen a ghostbuster outside. Yeah you can scream foul or "here goes the weasel."
Right now too many goofs on tv and trying to be "live" as they want to but hey they all giving us rip-offs once again. I hate the new channels we have. Bunch of hobos! They want us to pay double for some stupid shows on TV. Whoever owns the TV network at this present generation is a weirdo. Unfortunately their company wont be in the Fortune 100's. Nah! Just the truth. Lies? Go to california and you'll have true lies.

In fairness to the Canadian government I realized I have to extend my gratitude for having FREE EDUCATION from Grade School to High School. Yes! The education being offered to every kids here in Canada is FREE! Free for your children and my own children.
Free if you are enrolled in Public School.
My Elementary Education was in Public School and it was also free funding by the government in the Philippines. Although in High School and College enrollment was in Private Schools on my part. The tuition fees that my parents were able to afford through hard work. Six children that they were able to afford to send to school so that we can have a good life.
There is no difference in matters of absorption of knowledge or educating the students whether on public or private. Although it would really help the students if the environment they were educated are "pleasing to the eyes." How could that be?
In my opinion it is very necessary and helpful that good friendly atmosphere within the environment helped shape the kind of student you are in order to excel academically. It's a proven fact actually. Thank God there is no racist in the Philippines and racism is never heard of. Any foreigner or group of foreigners who come and visit or had educated themselves in schools in Philippines are treated with so much respect almost enough to put them on a pedestal. Somehow racism or racial profiling is most evident in countries when the population of whites exceeded the brown race, yellow, black and some other colors. Good that bleach or chlorine and hair dye is cheaper in this part of the world.Still is going blonde not my priority. I'm having more fun than having black and white hair. May angal ka?
Thank God my skin is "whiter" even if I belong to the brown race. Thank God my kids have fair skin and whiter than me. When will racism ends?

I have a problem with the setting or new format in this blog. Before I can upload at least 4 photographs or up to 8 now it only allow me to have one picture. I don't know who changed the setting. It is not me. I should know but every time now it drives me to crazyness when there are other people who wants to rule my blog I'd like to delete the whole blog in this site.
However thinking of how much energy and idea I have set up in this blog that I owned why would some stupid people get in the way? marunong pa sila sa akin eh hindi naman sa kanila ito.
Tamad! Kakainis. Materminate sana sya.
Hay naku masama ang gising ko ah. Ayoko pa ngang bumangon pero kailangan dahil I have to prepare lunchbox for my kids. My daughter is the only one who would rather bring her "baon." The two boys would rather not bring any sandwich or drinks at school. They just want money. They don't ask for big sum of money just 2 dollars for simple snack or pop or for chewing gum. Then they will hurriedly come back home and asked what I have at the kitchen. I usually have something prepared for them. Like springrolls, eggrolls or pound cake, cupcake or muffins or any bread that I baked. What brighten their eyes are the sight of wonton soup or just plain wonton (dimsum) with kikkoman soy sauce. Ayos yan ang favorite ng mga anak kong lalaki. My daughter doesn't care for it unless if that's the only food left on the table. Pihikan masyado.
In my curiousity I asked my son if the school provides free soup at least at the cafeteria. He was shocked at what he heard and told me "there's nothing free anymore in this world." As soon as he said the TV screen flashed news about "Canadians are getting hungry." The Food Banks need donation of food followed by rushing water from the dam. Even the water at the river in Courtenay flowed down to the road and connecting highway.
What is the hell!!!!!!!!! Is that some kind of trick or what?
Hay naku! Canadians getting hungry? Of all people? I don't think so. The country that is the second largest in the world when it comes to its demographic and land structure where everyone can have their own garden and plant whatever they can at summertime so that they can have something to eat for winter and then the news about getting hungry is hilarious. The population of this country is just half of the population of the Philippines. But anyway not all can afford to have a garden at their backyard especially if you are just renting. Besides not all Canadian like veggies. They want meat and lotsa meat! They would prefer burger, steak, and pizza. Not too many people here cook their food. they would rather order from restaurants or have the food delivered. Not us here. That's why when you enter my house it smells nothing but FOOD. It is suffocating when I cooked chicken curry because of the spices that I used. Or when I cooked some dried fish. I stopped cooking such smelly but delicious food at the order of my husband who dislike it or have trouble with that awful smell.
For dinner today I would probably have fettuccine with slices of beef , shrimps and mussels. Or just plain beef steak. Whichever is great enough. I will continue blogging after another load of laundry so ciao for now mama mia.

What's Happening?
Windy Sunday morning while we are seated at the comfort of our home and the heater is up to 20 degrees C. While I was heading towards my computer desk my hubby informed me that Pacquiao won last nite. Pacquiao?! Oh goody! So Manny Pacquiao won again in boxing. Good for him and too great for every Filipinos in the Philippines and every overseas worker. I mean it makes us proud that Manny > a Filipino guy is setting a world record in a much publicized sports in the world. Who knows maybe he would be the next "Muhammad Ali" and he will one day screamed " I Am The Greatest!" Congratulations MANNY PACQUIAO your winning the world title in Vegas against Cotto made us not only proud but it make each and everyone of us "taller."
Finally the hockey team Vancouver Canucks made it. They scored 4 against Colorado avalanche.
Someone to care 4 to be there 4 I have U2! Hehe. I couldn't help laugh at what's happening today. I think the wind will bring us a little bit of a storm.Stormy sunday eh?
Ha!? They are all in asian countries? I'm talking about the many leaders of the world who decided that it's best to do their assignments in asian countries such as: Singapore, China, Philippines, etc. Maybe good for them. They have to be seen to be heard.
Entertainers whether they are movie stars or singers they will show up in the most unexpected places and do their "struts" to be in the news. Unlike before when famous movie stars are bound by their respective studio and its their managers who are responsible for the news to be published in the media. Of course expenses paid by their studio who handle their careers. They pay for it. Now? They have to make their own news to thrill their fans. They manage their own career by twittering or blogging their own life in facebook and other websites that will help them. Ha, too many rivals now in blogging. Oh what a life. Millions of us here in the internet and according to the news Facebook has now increased its fans and their POPulation has reached 300 million. That's if their math is correct. Zuckerberg where are you? Can your website accommodate 300 million members? WOW! You can now own a country with those members eh.
Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games is still in the news, torch relay still is goin' on. It was at St. John's yesterday and today will be on Grand Windsor, NL.
Carry the flag. CARRY THE LIGHT!

Who's making The News Around The World?
You know that I love reading the NEWS every day of my life. No matter how serious the tone is, funny, weird, obnoxious, hard to believe news, true stories, fiction, non-fiction whatever it is inside the newspaper or magazines I have to read them. I don't know why but the love for reading was installed in my system. I am becoming robotic to this kind of normalcy. Or let me have this thinking as it is because my parents are also wide reader. We used to have newspapers every morning delivered at our doorstep. The usual Manila Standard, Manila Bulletin or Daily Inquirer. The newspapers we keep reading from when we were very young up to the time we're old enough to choose which one we'd rather read. Our high school offered news in the form of Current Events. While during the University years I preferred glamour magazines such as MOD, Woman's magazine. No. Don't assume I am very sophisticated glamorous person. I am not. I 'm not even "sosyal." Ano ka sinusuerte? I'm the hip to be squared gal. I love wearing nike shirts and bell bottom pants called Jag, Apple Picker, or denims or corduroy that were sewn almost perfectly by a neighbor who happened to be so good in tailoring business. Most of my blouses when I want to be a girl or look more feminine I have to ask my mother or aunt to sew some clothes to add to my ward robe collection. Hanep parang tunay. I love clothes! I love to wear something new every day or should not be repeating to wear the same kind of clothes in one month. That kind of trend. As you know textiles in the Philippines is not that costly but for somebody to sew it or tailored made for you then it's better to buy from your favorite department stores.
So back to the black and white and can be read all over > The news. Canadians showed their allegiance to Great Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles as they had their tour around the country. Many reporters were cold to report that they seemed not getting enough publicity or the reception is not as warmth as when Prince Charles and Princess Diana were here for a royal visit. The death of Monarchy as they asked each other. Uhm, I don't have a clue. Do you want it to die and have royalties of moviestars instead? Whom these people want to honor anyway? Or we have to honor the many hockey stars because they are worth millions... they earned millions and they are richer than the Prime Ministers and Presidents of the State. Maybe that's the good idea. Good that the Queen is still alive. Is she? Or we can wake up Princess Di from her peaceful sleep. What do you think?
Then Mrs. Hillary Clinton had her FIRST visit to the Philippines. Good for her. I was thinking that somehow she has close ties with former First Lady Imelda Marcos and Ms. Susan Roces. I'd like to offer them boquet of roces for their enigma.
Then the news about Mount Mayon. The famous perfect cone is back to spew out its fury. Gheez, don't we have enough of Mt. Pinatubo? The calamity of Mount Pinatubo still lingers in my skin and memory. It was about past 2PM when all of a sudden there was a total eclipse of the sun. The cloud outside darkened as if it's already midnight. Then blanket of fine grayish ashes started to drop on the ground and rooftop of every houses in Metro Manila. It was suffocating. Can you just imagine that the ashes were carried by wind to our place in Manila when Mount Pinatubo is located in upper part of Luzon? Close to the Subic bay. That is very shocking. Hmm...after a year dried lava or lahar is still visible. All the houses and rice paddies are covered with grayish ashes. It was flattened in that part of the land. I never thought that mountain is a volcano. It didn't have any info in the book that it was a volcano. Or maybe it is a volcano but it is an extinct one. How come it explodes? Oh well.
Now here comes news about Mayon. The most perfect cone is about to erupt? Are you kidding me? How to stop a volcano from spewing its mighty fury is to freeze it. How to do it? Would it help? It was once told that long time ago the Earth is volcanic in nature. That's why at the time of Moses iceberg was invented. Oopss! That's a myth.
Believe it or not NEWS are news only when it's being read and spread. It wont be a news when it just stays in the corner. I don't wanna lose my religion. That's all folks!

Moving On
Everyone of us are MOVERS & SHAKERS! You'll never know it or I wont ever know until the push and pull of products come hand and hand and to the final receiver or recipient. Unconsciously we are all movers and shakers. Whatever you are saying, printing, writing, every time you open your mouth you and me are drowning with advertisements. Commerce and trade is alive once again.
You have just seen couple planting a tree and you think of yourself getting a new planter for your living room. A hanging plant for your ceiling or just planter of plants such as palms, shrubs or any ornamental live plants to absorb the bad ions or toxins inside the house.
Winter time when all your houses are closed tight and cooking inside the house brings out carbon ions that you don't like surrounding the insides of your home. Of course even if your house has a vent for the smoke to get out from your stove still is you cannot stop or get rid of this carbon. So plants that can absorb the smoke inside the kitchen and living room is a must or you can have your doors and windows open most of the time but then your hydro bill will rise up to a new level. We cannot heat up the whole B.C. that's what my hubby used to tell me when I left the door open during winter time.
Thinking about the many plants and trees and seedlings that British Columbia has to offer the government should sell thousands of these seedlings to other countries. If you cannot sell logs then better to sell seedlings. Millions of seedlings in this country you might as well keep the country afloat by the available resources that you have.
Not only the forest that is our greatest resources but also the millions of fish that we have here in this country.
Millions of fish and eggs that alone can help the economy. It's time to move on. British Columbia is wealthy. Too rich to be on top of the world. The problem? You need better economists.
You know the best combination in Canadian politics? The former PM Paul Martin and Adrienne Clarkson. Mr. Martin being an expert economist and Ms. Adrienne her flawless PR is simply irresistible. You know her asian charm is quite outstanding. She is likened to Dolly Madison of America during the George Washington era. It is because of their strong political and economic combination that Canada's economic surplus has doubled. Now? Do we have a surplus?

My sister and I tried to call our Mother via long distance, the telephone line is not busy as it used to be although we only heard ringing and nobody even wants to lift the phone. Maybe they were out of the house including their house helper. I tried again this morning however the same result nobody there to pick up the phone call from us. I wonder why. It's RING Ring Ring!!!!!
Hmm... our computer keyboard is back to normal. It was hay wired two days ago. I was thinking that maybe my kids changed the font/text feature of the language that I usually used for typing in my blog. You can change the format by clicking the language of your choice whether in: Spanish, German, UK English, Hindi, Tagalog or any language that you feel is cool enough for you and your friends to understand. For those whose learning encoding and decoding they can follow simple "obstruction or substitutions." But that's hard to accomplish or to develop. You must have a special preferred book for that.
On codes and ciphers which I rarely nor not interested merely because of this simple reason > FOR WHAT? Nowadays only the kids are into that kind of game. I mean why should I involve in such childish games unless of course if I am that too young to play or join their trivial game. Austistic children or even those who are already in their teen years anything that puzzled their curious mind I know they will seek for answers. It is in their veins to seek, hide, and retrieve anything that their mind can figure out. It keeps them busy and occupied.
Last night, after I finished baking pumpkin cake which surprisingly turned out and tasted like "maja." Hahaha! You know what a maja or maha is right? Kung pinay ka you'll know what a maja is. It is delicious I had it for breakfast today. My sister had the same kind of maja before. That's what happened when too much flour is used instead of shredded pumpkin or squash. Too bad my daughter disliked it.
Also had a chance to watch that famous popular TV show "AMAZING RACE 15." Can you just imagine. THis show of Jerry Bruckheimer is becoming the longest running game/race show on earth. The last episode I have seen was when Canaan and his partner were eliminated. The girlfriend of Canaan was too afraid to slide on that water slide no matter how much Canaan insisted or giving her cue to go on. The next episode which I am not sure if its the one last night wherein the group of contestants have to travel from Dubai to Netherlands where they have to find the clue and the gnome at the fair, then they were told to go to an explosion site. Last task was to find the Amazing race flag hidden amongst field of rolled hays. It's like finding needle in a haystack. Two years ago there was a similar situation wherein the A.R. contestants have to find the flag also in one of those stock of hays on the field. Some find it easy, others have a hard time knowing where it was stocked or hidden and the last pair who had a problem looking for it ended up after 10 hours in search without having a glimpse where the amazing race flag is located. This time, it was the two globe trotters who had a chance to find it first. While the 2 brothers Sam and Dan had their moments of falling out of brotherhood. Falling out on a limb. Funny that Dan cried like a baby after stepping on the pit stop. Then Meghan's part is tremendously suffocating. It should not be done by a woman. You know how heavy that roll of hays? Just one will kill 'ya. Rolling or unfolding two or 3 will freak me out. But hey she was lucky enough not to be eliminated.Actually no one was eliminated in this episode. So the Father and son team are still on the race.
Now what happened to the Olympic Game 2010 Torch Relay? After having the Olympic flame here in Campbell and was brought to the North: Yukon, Whitehorse, Yellowknife, and the many remote areas up there where should the Olympic torch light be relayed to after wards? 95 days and counting ^^^^^^^^^^

Finally my good husband bought us a Maytag dishwasher. A second hand but still functions really well. Good as new! He bought it from the auctions house. One of the best deal he had simply because that kind of dishwasher especially the kind of brand name is expensive. MAYTAG! Although that machine is 2nd hand for its price of $50.oo is really a great bargain. I could only smile because a new dishwasher would cost at least $500 to $600 plus tax. Why buy a new one when there are too many available kitchen equipments and furniture at the auctions house. We might as well think economically practical. Think of saving money for Christmas. The most important celebration of all time. The birth of Jesus Christ. Forget about santa claus. We are old enough to know not to fool ourselves. Children under ten would benefit from santa. Kids over 10 years of age would rather seek their real parents to guide them what Christmas is all about.
Christmas is fast approaching and we must think of the most important things in life. Knowing there are too many unemployed in this area it is unthinkable or insensitive of me and my family not to feel the unhappy mood of the village residents. Then the many problems in my country of origin. Flaunting the happy life we have here and reading and viewing the many calamities that those people encountered and experienced it just make me sad for them I can feel their sentiments. I feel sad for them. But what can I do?
There is a wise saying that charity begins at home. First begin at your own home, with your own children and relatives. If you cannot begin to be kind with your family then you will have problem giving other people what they need. My apology for being so blunt about what I feel. If only I am the richest woman in this world providing the world what it needs then probably no man or woman would ever set foot or lay their hands on work. Everyone would end up asking for food, shelter and the many resources mankind would die for. That is probably the reason why we cannot see GOD. That is why HE is invisible. Imagine if we can see the Lord God almighty all of us will be at His doorstep asking for help. Oh thinking did we not asked Him already before even if we cannot see Him. Believing that he can answer all solemn prayers. Strong faith that keep us united in our belief in the faith that is here on Earth since the beginning of time.
I don't know I feel awkward typing those statements above. It makes me a very religious person. I tried to avoid such situation of broadcasting my faith. Know why? I will be hearing knocks at my door once again and the religious people from JW will offer their religious pamphlets trying to invite me into their faith. I should not reveal such thing but they can understand maybe after all they are also human beings like us.
My friend used to tease me that '' I know you ...you like having a religious debate and you love winning by having your opinions broadcasted to these people." Yeah right! Truth be told I like joining bible study in a chat room even if there are too many booters from other religion who go berserk at the many topic that uplift spirit. Enlightenment is what keep us awake and alive. O yan na mismo pati yung magazine nila e binabasa ko. Ahahahahah.
An acquaintance once asked us why we never attend Filipino gatherings here in the village. What they do not know is everyone would participate even if they are not Filipino members thinking officers of the club remained active and know what their duty and obligations as officers. Really should depend on the president of the club to be active and most of all able to unite the whole Filipino community. In Rupert the Filipino community are very active. Their parties are celebrated with much pompous extravagance and many of them in that small city continued to support their club even if there are controversial issues or there is a great wide divide between two parties. They are active participants of the city, supporting and raising funds for the hospital and many charitable institutions. This happened sometime before Year 2000. I do not know if the club have the same strong support as before.
Here in Campbell what the club is doing? I do not know if there is a Filipino club or it was defunct for good. Or it just happened I am out of this world and I do not have visibility being associated with them because I am anti-social. Shocks what a drama. Maybe this message will boost their party making them more visible in a community where you have to be seen to receive grants from the government. What do you think?
Everything here in the island is a TOTAL DRAMA. Who knows maybe the many stories here will end up as a butt of joke at Jay Leno's TV show or at David Letterman's knowing the community that we have needs more propaganda news for tourism business. But hey no one can beat yet the celebration that Mayor Cornfield and associates has provided for the Olympic Torch Relay in the City of Campbell River. I think the whole event can be viewed at You Tube. Or at its designated website.

NOTHING OR NOBODY IS FASTER THAN A SPEED OF LIGHT that we have to stay to this zone '' Yellow" We are all yellow! Are you faster than speed of light* Then you must be DEAD!
What a long coldplay to endure. I am so glad that I am done taking Cold FX.
An old science magazine that I happened to re-read once again about a common topic such as LIGHT. Yes the light 101 and simple common light bulb. I think I have this topic long time ago in my old blog. According to a Discover magazine writer named Eric S. that ''LIGHT IS A DRUG. BY ABUSING IT WE COMPROMISE OUR HEALTH."
Oh well, how many empty bottles and cans we have at the garage* Probably that would help all of us. Sell empty cans. That is the most profitable business. You know right away that every empty can is equivalent to CASH. Besides the truth is we cannot live without POP. Accept it. Denying it would mean you are just fooling yourself. Or you can get drown in water.
Okay I am getting bitchy here. I know you love dancing with the wolves. Dancing is better than singing. But you are all YELLOW. We are all yellow and the government is having us QUARANTINED WITH VACCINE. Don't you feel like we are in the Year of Rizal when there was a long .....queue of Yellow race.

CHEER UP people! I know we have a very boring weather and situation here in Canada but I would like to send my warmest greetings to all for at least catching up with the newly ''revived formula.''
Hay naku! There are more important subjectivity and objectivity in this world. I do not know why all our focus of attention is towards the Olympic Games. I am aware that I was overwhelmed too for this fascinating parabolic light that when the wavelength that appeared on double mirror is just the same while the distance that we need to achieve cannot equal what happened in the past under Albert Einstein and Saint Bernadette. We cannot be equal to the original although we have our chance and opportunity to make it better for us to live longer though.
I have enough of the games for the time being. We and the rest of the parents of this new world we want our point of focus in the education of our kids. The next generation would be nothing if we wont be able to guide them at school. This is the main responsibility of teachers and instructors and mentors if the students have them at school. I know and very much aware that there are teachers who give so much time and effort in providing the right education for our kids. We cannot always blame on the students you must understand them at their age and in this generation of modern technology when they can research almost anything and everything through the computers. While the old people like us were then strictly disciplined at a very young age. When parents and teachers remained superiority in all aspects of their off springs life. In this generation when you give so much privilege and too much rights to children that they can disregard you as parents when they were reprimanded. No matter how parents are doing correctly with their parenting skills and technique. When they learned from schools that when parents start advising their kids to do what they must do as students and the answer would be like sort of a crying game and threats from kids that they can sue their own parents. That happened all the time. This is the kind of game by kids to their parents. Is that what they are learning from school that I want to know. That is why many families here end up dysfunctional and kids being cared about government agencies. My children are not in rehab or any welfare agency but we cannot discipline them the way I want it. For the teachers to do their obligation and responsibility they have to act. It is your move and actions that we need to be implemented. You do not let these kids do their homework at home or let others do their homework. That is unfair. Let them finish their task in school. You can have a lesson plan and time that you can allow the students to finish their work at school. Which I am so glad that you did have such disciplinary action. Thank you.
Once they are at home all students time are based on computer programming, twitter, facebook, you tube, and the many computer games that keep them occupied. It is for these youth to know already that time is running out. They know what they want that is why when subjects are boring they do not give so much time on the subject and eventually the subjects become too boring for them. When it is boring then you wont be able to able to give command that they can follow. The youth of today is totally different from our time. They always want their own space to themselves. I know your problems as a teacher and the dilemma that goes with teaching. That is why many students are dropping out and would rather not go to school or not continue learning after Grade 12. Besides earning degrees in a country that is well-diverse (diversity) the result is futile. It takes a very experienced teacher to win the hearts and mind of their students. I do not know whether you would like to wear a cape or a halo to show how good you are as a model teacher but it takes time and a lot of energy. It is all psychological. When your psyche or instinct about life skills served you well when you were young then it would probably help you succeed.
WE ALL NEED TO SUCCEED. Me as a Mother and you as a teacher.
GOD HELP US WITH THIS ENDEAVOUR OF PROVIDING THE GREATEST EDUCATION FOR OUR CHILDREN, for the youth of today, our generation at present time and the generation to come.
Opinionated Views
What happened at the Spirit Square in Campbell River is beyond my comprehension. It is because I was not there to see and view for myself the torch relay celebration. Although it is nice to know that the school teacher of my daughter informed me that they went to that venue to watch the on-going relay of light, fire and flame. Yeah whatever you call it. Several people called it torch light, torch flame, torch of fire. It has the Vancouver Olympic logo and the style and design is so unique that some of the torch light or flame bearer auctioned them on Ebay. The torch light happened to be made by Bombardier - the maker of modern airplanes and train. How much they will get from it is beyond my dislike for people who do not value the importance of objectivity or sentimentality. How many of us who think that those torches are valuable to your integrity as a participant-volunteer for a cause. You don t have anything to eat anymore that something very sacred and sentimental you have to sell * It is weird to know.
However maybe these people are not really for the Olympic Games. Maybe they are part of those people or group who tried to dismantle a special kind of sports that people around the world never take for granted. If you people do not want to have the torch here in Canada why you need to have the Olympic Games here.
Thinking later on maybe some people have no other means to provide drama and attention that they created few cheap spectacle to themselves. Unfolding drama of controversy. Yeah auctioning the torch will create controversial issues. Money makes the world go round and the value of the Canadian Olympic Torch would create a hoopla of fun. It really depends on everyoneès thinking and opinion. Go ahead with your own soap drama.
Just yesterday a TV News featured about story that Whistler Resort hotels and condominiums there do not have much customers. Not too many vacationers to fill up their almost empty rooms. Maybe because the value of the room accomodation is way too much costly. It is in Canadian dollars. Also it is way too early to be there when the Olympic Games starts on February 2010.Then showing the mountain so green and no snow it makes you wonder whether the reporter is telling us the truth. It is November now and just last year when there is so much snow on every mountain in Canada to have no snow at this time of the year is absolutely a kind of shock for so many environmentalists. The climate change has affected us one way or another and somehow maybe Mr. Al Gore is correct with his personal assumption regarding the ''Inconvenient Truth.''
Year 2009 now rightÉ When you can have an ice pond just right there at the convenience of your backyard. Production of snow is not really a problem for those people with millions of money in their bank account. You only gain financial revenues in millions and billions when you invested in millions. You cannot invest $10.00 and gained one million. Oh wait, yes you can have such investment if you buy a lottery ticket. But thatès one in a million chance.
Everything in this world is about trade and commerce. Even when you think two very much in love individuals are in love and suddenly when they finalized they have to get married the gap sets in. Firstly, for the groom to give an official dowry to the family of the bride. The budget for the wedding ceremony such as the bridal clothing and accessories of the whole complete entourage, reception, honeymoon, and other miscellaneous that go with the nuptial. Every sum of money that was used for all this pompous solemn ceremony cannot be done without capital.
That is the reason why too many practical people would rather not get married and opted for live-in arrangement. Who is the loser in that situation you may ask. Your children. Then another individual would lamented that marriage is no longer sacred nowadays because after two years or the next years the couple will end up in divorce. Then here comes the homosexuals getting married just to show the world that they value the sanctity of being married and the vows that go with it.
There are many losers and winners in this time of the year and it only depends on your mind thinking on which side you preferred to be associated with.
True to what the famous geneticist Watson said that '' Intelligent women can marry for money.'' What about those with beauty and brain that would be too much for a rich guy to contemplate.

Busy Hands Of A Busy Mind
I am too delighted to parade my newly made toque. I know it is not much of a fleece because I use a different kind of fabric. Although the concept is there bearing it obviously with the style and design that I think is cute and fabulous. I even asked my daughter if it looks okay. She just smile not uttering any word. I wore it when we went shopping and I noticed this peculiar woman who meticulously staring at me. I wonder if its because of my attire. Just like what my hubby said I looked like an old maid. Hahaha funny. Totally ridiculous. I first thought by wearing something unusual will take any opinionated eyes and wanderers away from my presence. Oh well what a life. So while the woman was staring at me I gave her an eye too and I tail-gate at her side. You know ...what a very strange creature she is. If she has problem with me she can at least say something and confront me. That is being rational I think. You have a problem come and talk to me and you will l get the answer right away instead of looking at me from head to foot. Because I will do the same thing at you. There is a wise saying " Do unto others as you do not want others do unto you.
Then I have the same toque pictured here with my daughter. The toque is quite nice and cute. So I do not know what is the problem behind that woman at the mall. I think it has something to do with my race. You know some people are racist. They only think about themselves as whites or caucasians. They think they are God s gift to mankind. Do you think God is caucasian that I doubt it.
Maybe when bleach or chlorine was invented in that period of time when black and brown has merged in. Yeah people chlorine makes you white as snow white.
Anyway why I have to be problematic with that strange woman from the mall. She probably is in crisis and when you are in crisis you should need the best of help and care. I should not think of ill will with what she had in mind. Or simply what these group of white women cannot really appreciate the inquisition of other race group. Now that I have to keep on understanding this people. Be compassionate that is the lesson that I should advocate.
It is for one thing that I do not want to get out from my house. You know seeing these group of people who need personal development book or knowledge. That is why you have Harper to do the trick. Because having too much Freudian slips would be repetition of the past and we are in the present Year 2009 if you know what I mean. I hate being in the Duplessi case maybe you know that old story ha. I think that story happened sometime after World War II. Correct me if I am wrong.
THE PURSUIT OF TRUTH IS THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.
It is true.
That is why keeping myself busy all the time is the best way to keep your wary mind away from unproductive wasting away. I tried to as always to keep everything into certain perspective.Shown here in the picture are several toques I sewn and made for two days. The bead work is a bit difficult because the holes of the beads are too small to see. I have other designs in my book which I am hoping to make and have fun with creativity in mind. Itching to start some new toques to sew last night only to be dismayed that my Singer sewing machine failed. I mean there is something wrong with it. I need to have it fix real soon or else I will be starting a new project that is not in my plan. You know having alternative idea just to keep me happy for the time being.
That is what am saying when I get out from my house something gets out of place. I do not even want my personal gadgets being touched like my camera, bag, clothes, etc., etc. I want everything in order and when it is not in order then it is gonna be chaotic here at home.

Only Treats No Trick Here
My husband bought three boxes of goodies for Halloween treats yesterday. Boxes of assorted chocolates, maynards chewy peach candies, potato chips. Fortunately we only have five little toddlers who knocked at our door. So that means the rest of the treats will be for me and my kids to eat and enjoy. Somehow I was thinking that the spirit of halloween celebration is not much fun this time of the year. Unlike last year and in the past when there are about hundreds coming in and going in front of our house and other houses within the village.
There are too many reasons why. First there was this scare of the swine flu. You know some people make the news so big about swine flu as if it is really a pandemic. I mean many died of just an ordinary flu okay. Or you'll die being in a long line up together with those people infected with the true influenza. No. I didn't mean to say that. You're panicking for such an inflection you are not so familiar with. People die because they run out of breath okay? That will pacify your way of thinking irrationally. Secondly, the econmy is not that really good. Too many unemployed. The costumes in the department stores are really costly. Imagine some of the costumes were made from cheap materials and the costs ranged from $19 to $60.00 + Whew! it's time to think about other holidays coming like Christmas. Save your money for Christmas Day.
Oh by the way, it's already All Saints Day in asian countries. I just would love to visit my grandmother and special friends but knowing they usually visit me in my dreams then probably there's no need to go there and visit them at the cemetery. I will just offer a solemn prayer for them. For them and for my loving mother-in-law who passed away in 2005. She too appeared in my dreams twice already. The first time was , 3 days after her burial. The second time was just recently.
People who are so close to me and who are not with us anymore in this world always take the opportunity to visit me in my unconscious moments called DREAMS. It was never a nightmare. It was not scary at all. All my dreams about them are happy and full of zest for life. Lively conversations and mysterious situations that keep me puzzled through the ordeal of having them decoded.
I don't know why they like showing or having their appearance in my dreams. Lately I found that I'm not all alone with this kind of paranormal activity. Somebody from another website has also been fortunate to be a medium for this kind of mind boggling experience. Although what she usually reveal is that she can see ghost. She is not dreaming! She can see ghost. Uhm, I happened to see something like that. I was inside the condominium. It was a tall building, on the 18th floor. I just came out from my bedroom and happened to see something like a white cloud on the living room. I was shocked and frightened. How come there's a "cloud" ( resemblance) or kind of a fog in the living room? The windows are tight closed and so as the doors. There is nobody inside the house but only me. My God, kinilabutan talaga ako. It's my first time to see something like that. I first thought I was in a dreamlike situation pero I was not dreaming at that point in time. I didn't cook that day. So where that fog came from? The next day when I called at my sister's office I was shocked to find out of a bad news that my cousin died (actually not related to us but their family lived in the compound and she is one I can consider a cousin for being so nice and kind). She of all I've known so bubbly, cheerful and very healthy-looking girl suddenly died. I just couldn't believe it.
I have too many stories to tell you about premonitions and mysterious occurrences that is too much for our mind to absorb and unravel. Why I encounter these kind of mysterious phenomena maybe it has something to do with my curiousity when I was very young. Fascination with the "after life." Hunting ghosts whether they are real or not. From my childhood detective sleuth fact-finding at the old almost ancient hospital built in 1912 where people keep talking about the "white lady" who hung herself at the ceiling of the hospital. The story as old as World war II. She was an american nurse who killed herself - suicide. That her spirit keeps haunting the hospital and the American Cemetery in Fort Bonifacio. That also was a part of my on-going fact-finding of the truth.
Anyway, that's all folks. Happy All Saint's Day and Happy All Souls' Day. Be safe!
