Along this "path" are the many rocks, mostly granites. And you know how expensive granites are once they are polished. They are shiny and sparkles because of its crystal and quartz content. Granites are hard rock and their specifically used as building materials. They are great for building post, counter tops, floor tiles and walls .
The big leaves of this skunk cabbage reminds me of the "kiping" (crispy crackers used for adornment during the fiesta or feast in Philippines esp. in Quezon province. The flowers of this plant are the first meal eaten by bears once they get out in the woods from hibernation. Skunk cabbage plants grow on watery swamp. I was thinking where "Master Yoda" is. Interesting!

Beside this giant old tree are the many ferns, grass and flowers native to that forest along Rock Bay Area.
I found this cave-like feature of an old tree trunk fascinating. I think that old tree is close to 500 years old. The area where I took this picture reminds me of one of the scenes in Jurassic Park, the movie about dinosaurs.
