OP CENTER's ending is subtly smart and humorous. I just couldn't stop laughing at the author's quote which is actually intended for one of the major characters in the book.

Just give them boxes and presto every one will have their soapboxes. Whether they will use the stick to reach the bananas or would rather plant and wait for it to bear fruits. Time is essential. People would rather buy bananas and eat them for dessert. Others would make it as a banana pie or bread. Only monkeys steal bananas in a plantation.
In a secured laboratory monkeys are used for experimental study. For the scientist monkeys are next of kin of the human population that's why they are used for special testing. While other scientists would rather have guinea pigs. Lately, I mean at present human beings are being used for scientific research. But this is done through voluntary process. Besides, those volunteers signed up and reaped rewards. What kind of rewards ? Is it worth it?

In this one of a kind world event up to 10,000 are being asked to volunteer. Without volunteers Olympic Games wont be possible. It is a Game of the Olympians. It's been the world's number one Sports Events for the Greatest Athletes back in Ancient Times until the 21st century, time our generation.
Volunteering in this project is not a form of radicalism instead a way to show your marvelous, well-rounded wholesome personality. It is a nationwide project supporting every sports and athletes of every country in the world. Nothing radical in this kind of Game.
Although the name JOHN FURLONG seems to be such a familiar name isn't it? The Olympic Theme would probably be like futuristic in nature as in TERMINATOR. Who knows. It would be a secret.
