We are not really into Halloween this year simply because my kids are all grown up already. They don't go out house to house for trick and treats since Year 2012. We had some boxes of treats such as chocolates, candies and chips just in case when kids knock at the door at Hallow's Eve.
Well only... if
Before have to decorate Halloween ornaments and decor as spooky as it could be at the front door and at the lawn. Kids have to wear costumes, remember that I bought the Princess Lea's costume from Star Wars and my two sons wore "Knight-in-shining armours" complete with shields and swords. Every year they wear different costumes because schools also have Halloween parties where teachers and school staff also wear costumes for their fun day celebrating Halloween. Nothing's wrong with that.
It was recently that people in the Philippines also celebrate Halloween by wearing costumes and do the trick or treat school to schools or house to house. Wow!
You know that Halloween costumes are very costly here in Canada? The cheapest costume is worth $20 and if you will sew costumes just the textiles and accessories would result to $50 - $100 worth costume then to include make-up for the complete set up or make over then what is left for you to give for treats?
Maybe it's better to spend your money for Christmas time. Have the best meal for your family. Roast a huge turkey or roast a whole pig for lechon. Buy gifts for your kids.
I know there is so much fun in scaring or frightening your friends. Just watch scary movies at the convenience of your home. Watch vampires and draculas. Watch Jason and Michael Myers or Jeffrey Dahmer's movies, maybe that would change your attitude, wont get out at night and knock at stranger's doors.
Whatever. Do you have dental insurance? You know how many times those politicians talked about homelessness, health and dental care...over and over again? EXPENSIVE DENTAL CARE! If they cannot afford dental care or have brand new dentures then you should be aware of this.
Caution: Avoid gummy bears, hard candies and hard chocolates. Take care of your gums, mouth and teeth.
