What are you doing? How to keep yourself busy?
You know what? In all honesty, if you want to keep yourself busy all the time and if you want to do something better than anybody else? Truth is the requirement for that is a huge budget!! Everything in this world requires financial aid. Just a simple hobby of sewing requires at least $100 to $500 to create a beautiful party dress. A simple hobby of painting requires at least $50 to $150. That hobby of yours like photography requires $1,000. That hobby of blogging requires financial aid of you know how much? Add those electronics: computer, digital camera, and all those props and what you've got? You also got to own cellphone. Blogging requires healthy minds and creativity coupled with wits and guts.
Ask yourself what kind of hobby that will keep you busy without hurting your pocket?
Reading books? Yeah, why not! Read all those books free from public library and return them when you are finished reading them. You can re-read all your books from your husband's collection of books. Read the latest novels from best-selling novelists: Dan Brown, Wilbur Smith (RIP), or re-read novels written by Tom Clancy (RIP). Re-read all the National Geographer's magazines and Discover magazines.
Watch news on TV or watch movies and television series: SEAL TEAM, FBI, NCIS, TOM CLANCY's, IRREVERENT, Big Brother, Amazing Race, Survivor, etc. Watch re-runs of VICTORIOUS. Watch hockey games, basketball, & tennis.
Add knowledge to your brain and quizz yourself on how much you learned from reading Science magazines. Boring!!!? Actually it's fun! Ha ha ha!
Go boating and fishing. Sure is such a great leisure hobby. Not at present time when gas is very expensive. There is no hobby that wont cost you a cent. Even your crappy handicrafts will cost you big time. I tried selling my crafts but the truth is there's no profit in it. The materials are more costly than what you can get from selling them. NO PROFIT. It's not practical. The only thing is you can get very busy and it's fun (when) if you like what you are doing.
Cleaning the house will cost you more from the amount of cleaning supply you'll need. Cleaning supplies are more costlier than supply of food for the week. But you have to clean your house FGS!
Gardening? I used to garden because the big yard is great for gardening but if you live in an apartment or townhouse it's not favorable to garden because the owner wants the yard covered with bermuda grass. You can plant on ceramic pots or planters.
Painting? I can paint and draw but using charcoal and acrylic paints make me feel dizzy. Toxic! I can draw on paper and sketch (fashion designing). I can crochet but I was allergic to yarns. Darn it!!
You have to cook. It's not always that only one member of the family cooks. I know the problem of what to cook next. You want me to cook a storm? Oh no!! It' so easy to cook a storm!
To do nothing and just be lazy the whole day wont cost much. Lights off, stay on your bed the whole day on cold winter days and what happened next?
Well, you know me being busy all the time. I think people with autism have busy minds and they are "overload."
