My daughter and I were busy with our art project last night when my cousin phoned from Hong Kong. Seldom that she calls. Only when she feels lonely or when she wants to inquire about something that she was not sure of. It was such a quick inquiry actually. She forgot my home address and she wants to send a Christmas card. How thoughtful of her. She never fail to send us Christmas greetings and she's always on time. I should have told her not to send the card because listening to her voice is good enough. I called my sister afterwards. She phoned my Mother who happened to be telling her stories that she heard long time ago. Sort of repetition. Oh my God! My Mother is having alzheimers? I hope not. I decided it's best to give my Mother a call. But to my dismay cannot get in through the line. Hmm..what happened? It's not busy line as what the operator said. Area code is the problem. Weird huh. I push all the correct numbers and code. I'll try again next time.

While watching the news on TV: Lots of snow in other part of Vancouver Island and Downtown Vancouver area has been blessed with lots of snow. Tons! For the ski and snowboarder enthusiasts this is what they are waiting and praying for. The adrenaline rush to seek the alpine resort and have their extreme winter sports.

With this winter wonderland moment that the VANOC Organization or Committee together with the BC Premier Gordon Campbell, Malcom Brodie -Richmond Mayor and other officials had the Entrance doors opened yesterday. The Richmond Olympic Oval designed especially for speedskating. It is 47,526 sq.m. in its entirety. What a surprise opening! The Mascots were there of course.

It was a surprise! I don't even knew it until I saw it on TV. Good timing that my daughter was having the mascots drawn. But there's one thing that is a mystery. She didn't include one mascot in her drawing. I don't know why.

The VANOC Pictures were taken from our TV
