In Times Of Troubles

Stormy weather last night. Heart-pounding wind almost like a turbulence hitting the wall of our home. The thugging sound, non-stop kept me awake. Yes we had a storm, typhoon or hurricane if you want to call it. If it happened in asian countries probably it has a name. A woman's name. Women are unpredictable with their way of thinking. Pabago-bago. Very confusing, always changing that's the reason why typhoons are named after women. Typhoon such as Yoling in the 70's which is one of the most powerful typhoon hitting the country. Violing, Lucing, Ising, Ibiang, Rosing, and many other feminine names to name a storm that keeps hitting the island.

At least not an earthquake nor tsunami. You must thank God for you are spared for that fatal catastrophe. What to do now? While the Japanese people are prepared from all these calamities how about you? Are you prepared?

All homes, work place, schools public or private schools, and churches should have mandatory supply of food especially the non-perishable food, safe drinking bottled water, drum filled water, boxes and cases of juice drink, first aid kit, medicine, hunting and fishing gears, ax, and sources of light: flashlight, battery, cellphones, lamplight coleman, kerosene light, portable gas stove, portable radio with battery, matchboxes, candles, blanket, tents, jackets, hard hat, life vest, boats, etc. Of course you need a all terrain vehicle if you want to climb the mountain or higher elevation just to get away from the tsunami. If its an earthquake follow the procedure of duck, cover, and hold.

Practice the DUCK, COVER and HOLD Drills. Always take cover and find the safest place for your family.

During the shaking: Cover your head and torso. Duck under a sturdy table or desk.

When you are prepared you know there is no need to panic. That's one thing or sure way to survive.

PRAY. Honest to goodness solemn prayers help.
