I asked L about why our maple tree leaves hasn't changed its colors yet unlike the other trees along the streets of the town where we lived. "Don't you like it?" he told me that their trees will go bald before winter and our tree will have its leaves color green maybe longer than it would take the changing of weather. Well, that's good if that's the case. I kind of wonder that their variety of maple trees are different. There are at least 6 kind of maple varieties such as: Sugar maple, Silver maple, Japanese maple, Norway maple tree, Red maple tree, Paperback maple tree. Each tree has different shape and size of leaves. The similarities they all turned colors from green to yellow, orange, then red. Once they turned its leaves to red then they fall on the ground.
While tending to the yard the other day, digging the soil for aeration of some kind I noticed maple leaves on the ground and on the grass so I picked them up. They are awesomely beautiful. I thought to myself that they are really good subject for my photography.
Not contented, I decide to take some test shots on our maple tree outside. I cannot find a better view or angle and then I heard an echo. A voice that's loud yelling, " Come on!!!!"
What the heck! Is somebody watching what am doing outside? It was only past 7 pm and clouds covering the horizon, the sun's not peeking out yet. There is blue sky but not as blue when the sky is out there. Too much cloud I think. So while I angling my digital camera the shots are not into my supposed "picture in mind" setting or position so I touched the branch while the morning dew on its leaves and branches started dripping on my face and hands.
You know what I did?
I picked one small twig from the branch of the tree and took it home.
Easier than done. Presto! Now I can have a better eye-view of the twig for perfection. I can have too many angles of shots with much gusto. Besides I know that there are some "peeping toms" watching what I'm doing. So there...that's my maple tree leaves and I don't know what those "butterfly kind of thing hanging from its twig." Do you know? Are they "seeds?" Are they baby leaves about to spring out?
They are like hanging keys. They remind me of narra tree with its textured seeds but their seeds are semi-circular in shape.
More shots. This time with apples. Maples, apples! And ----with a mouse! Wow!
What with apples doing there? A reminder that apples sound like maples. That apples like maples have different varieties to choose from: Baldwin, Cortland, Golden delicious, Jonathan, McIntosh, Northern Spy, Red delicious, Rhode island greening, Rome beauty, Yellow newton, York imperial, Winesap, Fuji, Gala. 14 popular and known apple varieties and due to high technology there are so many varieties coming out of ying-yang. You wont believe that maple trees will soon have too many off springs from its 6 known varieties or species.
Just like the species of human beings being subjected to experiments long time ago and now yield the strongest the most highly intelligent human form of this century.
No wonder why Canadians worship their maple flag.
It's Gorgeous!
