I was born in Fort William Mackinley which in that period of time belongs to United States of America, then that makes me an American not Filipina but I have Filipino parents. Then now based on territory Vancouver island is actually an American island not of Canada. However if the island is spinning like a clock what could be the best applicable "nationality" given to inhabitants of Vancouver island?

I've been to Alaska to the border of Alberta, Seattle and from there I realized the world is really small. The population of the world is concentrated close to edge of the Pacific where the ocean is. Farther away from the Pacific rim are nothing but wilderness, tundra, desert, and mountains. People? The people tend to move closer and closer where the water is available.
