Vacation In My Own Home

Have you been to the Miniature World of B.C.? I've been there in year 1993. It was located at the Empress Hotel that time. I enjoyed the many tours we had way back then with my husband Lorne when I was pregnant with my first born.

Victoria is the place of world class enjoyable tours. The city of majestic remarkable "European atmosphere" that you'll be amazed and you might be surprised that it's better than Europa.

What could be the best point of interest? First, let me remind you of the Parliament Building (BC Legislature) which is centuries old yet still remain standing fabulously and in great service to the public up to now. Their garden is superbly spectacular and so amazing. You can see the fountain now but in 1993 it was just a wide sprawling Bermuda grass on its yard.

The Butchart Garden is located nearby for an awesome price to enter, the entrance fee is costly but you will enjoy every minute of your day admiring millions of floral you haven't seen  before. The species of plants are one of a kind and so rare, no one has it. One specie of rose has that "tiger design on its petals." darn, what else those botanists can do? Next time, add flowers with face on its petals.

There's that House of Wax museum adjacent to the famous building, were old royalties are portrayed as if they were alive, spectacularly standing in every post in their royal costumes and you can touch them without the need to kneel or bow your heads.

So many amazing architectural buildings that you can step inside to let your mind wander and be amazed. Or spend time shopping at the many arcades along the center of Victoria's commercial district. You can spend hours and hours beneath the Aquarium Under The Sea. Watch the many sea creatures, from octopus to sharks, dolphins, and other fierce sea mammals, sea lions and different species of fish.

Here at home, we have to be contented with my collection of nutcrackers. Who knows maybe I will have the whole complete collection and maybe...

Maybe one day I will open up my own "Miniature Museum." I will have my own legions of the "Lemonade River" including the notorious mouse, muse and there'll be a mousehunt. Ha ha just kidding.

Anyway, life is great and making life even better  is to make family happy by keeping every members enjoy every meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

How about spring rolls for a start?  Go away summer!
