We'll have our Christmas tree on the tenth or the fifteenth of this month instead because my husband always want a fresh douglas fir tree instead of the artificial x'mas tree. Nothing's wrong with his idea besides after Christmas the tree could be sent to the collector's depot so that they can chop and chip the tree into tiny pieces to be recycled into paper and what else you think those creative people will do with the tree? Make books and pad paper and maybe tissue. Here in Vancouver island, the many residents knew how to be resourceful recycling almost anything from empty cans, empty bottles, empty plastic noodles and empty juice jugs and empty milk jugs, even card boards and boxes are recycled time and again to make them useful and beneficial to its users. Styrofoams, aluminum, and plastic are not recyclable.
My japanese maple tree has lose its leaves, it's now bare and bald and so as the sugar maple tree outside bald and bare. The neighbor's kid did something very creative by hanging x'mas tree ornaments on the tree at their yard. I'm thinking better cover our maple tree outside with Christmas tree lights. Good idea right there but how much will it cost us? We had our x'mas lights from last year we don't need to buy this year unless if there are burnt bulbs. Thinking about the consumption of electricity as in energy savings. Darn, hate to be like Ebenezer Scrooge. lol
The wind and mild storm has stopped after dinner of roast chicken, steamed potatoes, steamed broccoli, gravy, rice and salmon sinigang with bokchoy. Just as when I looked towards the window, glanced at the sky as it cleared up showing clouds in splendid colors of light blue and pink, that's sunset for us. I knew that the other half of the earth is enjoying the best eastern morning of warm sunshine. Few minutes later, the sky darkens and it's already past 5 pm. Good evening everyone, hope you all had a good day and hoping tomorrow is a bright sunny Friday.
