My aunt once told me that after World War II, my grandfather who hailed in Catanduanes was asked by a certain politician to run for mayoral's office. That period of time my grandfather, my father's biological father owned a huge tract of land. He owned hundred acres upon acres of ricefield, his family also owned coconut plantation and abaca plantation. He employed his many relatives and hundreds of neighbors in his plantation. From the coconut plantation he and the workers were able to produce copra, coconut wine (tuba) and coconut vinegar aside from the normal use of coconut from the tree of life. Coconut is cash crop of the Philippines during that time so really that helped them financially and educate their children. Then the abaca plantation where they gathered fibers and used them for ropes and from these products many creative crafts are made. It helped my aunt, she was once a supervisor in NACIDA which is an agency of the Department of Trade & Commerce (MInistry under the Parliamentary Rule). Department (Ministry) of Labor under Marcos Regime, the Minister of Labor is my uncle. My grandparents were able to support, sustain their livelihood from the products of his land, their many children, 12 of them. Would you believe they have 12 children? They are fortunate to have intelligent children who are also of help with their business. However, my grandfather's bid for the mayoral campaign didn't end up the way majority of the population expected in that province. I think there's that sabotage that happened and probably the result benefit the whole workers association at the plantation. What will happen if my grandfather becomes the mayor of that city? The wealth being produced from his land will be subdivided with the rest of the population instead of only for the family, clan and the loyal workers of the plantation... which is TRUE! Sa tutuo lang ganun nga ang mangyayari. On the other side of the clan , where many of my professional relatives, who happened to excel in Medicine, Economics, Engineering and field of Science and Law. Many doctors, nurses, med-tech, dentists, engineers, accountant, soldiers, lawyers, judge, teachers, restaurant owners, farmers, fisherman, archbishop, priests, science- specialist, pharmacists, businessmen, carpenter, contractor, house builder, politicians, seamstress, airplane mechanic, technicians, OFWs, South East Asian athlete gold winner medalist in my family and clan.
What we don't have in our family and clan are media people or movie star or celebrity. I am not bragging but simply the LEADER you have to choose should be of beneficial to the country and its people. Employment for the people within your community first, then to the city then to country. There are too many strokes, different strokes on how you can help majority of those people who voted for you. Sometimes, one thing that could help is just let it GO> Let destiny happened according to GOD's PLAN.
Under the Marcos regime there were hundred millions of people who were employed from adults to young people (KB). Every community has the budget for the barangay captain to do his task. Every mayor on every town and city has the budget for them to use for the betterment of their place so that all their projects are met. There's task force for every community. They knew their math. Everything is accounted for from centavos to pesos. Malupit ba? Laging may listahan no? There's always somebody doing the auditing. There's always that check & balance.

One thing for sure that you should remember is to ensure the PEOPLE should always have FOOD on the table. Read the HOLY BIBLE and you'll discover that GOD the ALMIGHTY had chosen leaders who owned tract of land for agricultural purposes, farmlands with animal > livestock. In other words, you should not let your people and the armed forces go hungry or they will eat you alive. Daybreakers?
Watched the movie of Nicolas Cage, NATIONAL TREASURE on TV, after the realtor and his clients went out from our house ( The realtor who has similarities with NC who looks like a pastor not a realtor). He showed the house to two of his clients and dunno if ever he is a realtor because he didn't give his business card. ? It's another day of weirdness. 14 May 2016.
