Stage Or Street?

That could be the "theme" for the closing ceremony of the PAN AM Games. First the opening of the Closing Ceremony started with participants showing off their dance sequences with a story, the wedding, the harvest or thanksgiving, the parade of all the flags for all the countries the athletes represented in the game. Then the parade of PAN AM athletes wearing their medals. Congratulations to all the winners, participants and volunteers who made Pan Am Games a great success. More dances from different ethnic groups, popular folk dances by which represented by the immigrants who migrated to Canada especially in Ontario. Tap dancing from Irish dancers, harvest dance from the East Indian dancers holding some kind of adjustable fences reminds you of safety, they should hold saw. Lagare. Folk dances from the Latin America, etc, etc. The message delivered by the boy as he travelled to Peru by means of a llama transpo and what could be the message?

These people are trying to conserve. When you conserve you have something for the winter season.

Anyway, who cares? Sinclair could sing the song again. Oh no she didn't sing that song. Many artists- performers in this closing ceremony such as: Serena Ryder now famous for TOGETHER AS ONE, Pitbull and his 4 sexy dancers, a Latin American singer (?), and lastly Kanye West who hip-hop and rapped until all the lights are off the stage. Did you see the difference without lights and special effects on stage? Looks flat right? It's boring! Was he fed up that he threw the mic after that technical difficulties? I think it was a wrap-up. He was the DJ-mixer and he wants to get out and home but people still stay inside the podium. It's OVER!!!!!!!! Whatever! Who knows? Who knew?

What's the difference of performance on stage and on street? Stage performers are PAID because of the tickets paid by the customers or viewers. Street performers are not paid but can be seen publicly when they performed on the street, parade, festival or carnival.

FREE or PAID?

Sunday Suspense Theatre for PANAM Games Closing Ceremony

I was in search of the two garters (elastic) I bought from the store, unfortunately can't find them. I know that I have them on top of the counter where the cashier can see them. I first thought I can start with my sewing today but no, can't do it now.  Darn! I hate going out again just to purchase elastic. The price of gas went up again you know. That if ever have to get out of the house, have to bring a note or list of things I have to buy. Time is golden. Wasting time is a pain and being idle is the work of the devil.

The problem also with going to the supermarket is they don't have the complete products in their store that you have to hop from one store to another. There is no megamall here. There is a mall but it covers only few mini-stores inside, no food court, no cinema, no playground and park. The mega mall in Philippines is one of a kind. It has everything in it inside, they have complete stores of everything from textile store, shoes, clothes and other accessories,  many food stalls and food court, it has its own grocery store or supermarket, 8 cinema, park, you can use a golf cart inside to browse around the covered mall, it has playground and carnival, it has furniture warehouse, it's a one stop shopping arcade under one roof. You can spend 12 hours inside the mega mall browsing and shopping without getting tired because there is so much to see and so much stocks, most of all there are so many people busy shopping too. Sure, it's not a ghost town in that area.

By the way, PANAM Games will close tonight and what could be the surprises in the Closing Ceremony? I'm disappointed that they didn't carry any archery event in this kind of game. Who will carry the Canadian flag? Who are the celebrities who will perform tonight on the stage? I heard from the news that the event coordinator had Kanye West to perform including Serena Williams who sung the PANAM Games themesong "Together We Are One." The many critic had their say that Kanye is not Canadian...why him? So many Canadian musicians to choose from such as: Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado,  Nickleback, Anne Murray, Rex Gaudie, Chantal Krevziak, The Headleys or Jacob, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers,  etc. Ah, maybe they want somebody who will bring the fireworks and Kanye WEST and his son North is a codified ensemble to their strat. Hope that it's not west nile.

Speaking of :
The Nile reminds me of the TV Movie > TUT. You know the Pharaoh TUTankhamun? Hollywood had put together all the data and the many stories about the legendary Pharaoh and voila, a remarkable movie was produced and guess what? Avan Joggia (Beck of VICTORIOUS star bf of Jade) has catapulted himself as the new big star actor playing TUT. Seriously, he can be the next Sylvester Stallone. His acting has improved!

Sorry for the MIX stories. I'm trying to post so many stories in one post for Sunday.

It's For The Economy!

I first thought I will not watch the PAN AM GAMES 2015 simply because I don't want to see how those athletes will compete and don't like getting disappointed just as I was disappointed when Vancouver Canucks failed always failed to win the Stanley Cup. They had the chance but how the hell they never win. That kind of feeling when I know that a team will win because they deserved it and then something happened wrongly or well, don't really know what happened to that hockey game. I should stop thinking about it and think that it's only a game, it's a sport played by business people. Forget it, as thing of the past.

PAN AM Games is totally different from the OLYMPIC GAMES, you know that for sure eh?! Pan Am Games is like an "expo." Hard to explain it so it's not really for me to explain and define it... maybe it's a Maslow.  Games are better than war!

The Pan Am Games is memorable and surely wont be forgotten for so many years to come     because those who participated in the torch relay were famous, fabulous and they were Olympians except the Gov. General of Canada Hon. David Johnston who also was a part of the torch relay. Steve Nash the NBA basketball star player for Phoenix Sun, lighted the cauldron. The opening ceremony was spectacular and stunning as always marked the high spirit of this wonderful game, torch relay from every part of the country, from high above the air, mountain, ocean, rivers and lakes,to the highest tower, every part of the community is highlighted and enlightened for this one of a kind world sports event.

Totally AMAZING!

The question is it worth it? For every Canadians, the games, every game and sports are worthy of praises, awards and prizes. Every effort is honored and appreciated. Canada's athletes are world class and one of the best when it comes to skills, strength and intelligence. It's the SPORTS (Games) that made Canada richer than your countries. Billions of dollars are gained from its revenues. It's GREAT FOR THE ECONOMY.
