Stressful Work

Lorne and Tyrel came home tired and hungry doing renovation at the Village. My son Tyrel wont wait any longer to be called at BCIT because he's already working for his Dad. His working experience if you'll ask was at Storey Creek when he was in Grade 12. Then he worked for his Dad when he was asked to help in re-painting the 31 unit townhouse and that's a real hard work under scorching heat of the sun during summer time 2 years ago. There's so much movements there and there are lots of work to do today after tenants moved out after about 14 years of tenancy. They were our good tenants who followed rules and regulations in the townhouse and surely will miss them.

My husband can't wait for me to cook the Mexican fajitas that he decide he'd better cook it. All the ingredients are ready anyway. While I wait for the cooking oil at the deep fryer  to get hot at a boiling point so that the tempura is perfect and crunchy.

Before that:

It was at about 3:30 pm when I started with my prep-cook: marinating the sliced chicken breast with right amount of lime juice, pepper and salt for chicken fajita.

Yey! We'll have mexican food for dinner. Set aside slices of tomatoes, red bell pepper, red onions. Darn! There's no mushrooms. Too bad! It's okay that wont spoil the food. I had another viand to complete the meal. Thawed frozen prawns, sliced fresh eggplant and onions rings. I will deep fry those prawns, eggplant and onions for tempura.

Made spicy sauce out of mayonaise and red chilis or sriracha added with ketchup and put the sauce in a small bowl.

The menu for dinner is awesome MEXICAN & JAPANESE combi -food. Not enough? I baked banana loaf bread with grated cheese. I'll have that for my dessert with hot brewed coffee of course.

I had an amazing supper tonight and oh my, I can't breathe anymore. I'm so darn full! Right now I'm resting at my cushioned chair trying to find out what is my next move and subject to tackle with in my blogs. You think it's easy to provide news and write about different topic for discussion? It's totally hard, it's difficult. It's more like being a teacher looking for the best lesson plan for the students. Always in search and research , thinking the best interesting article to discuss, post and teach students so that they could learn from those articles, subjects and whatever their minds can absorb and maybe they can teach others when it's their turn to do their own task and work. It's more like passing of knowledge from one generation to another.

I might have a shower again because I think my body and clothes are smelly because of the greasy smell of cooking oil. I have greasy hair and the kitchen smells cooking oil. Darn! I have to clean the kitchen and the oil on the cupboards and counter tops ... yuck! Now you know why cooking and being a chef is one of the hardest work on earth especially when it's time pressured so unlike those whose work are only reading news from tele-prompter. Get it? I didn't mean to hurt the feelings of those workers. But their work is stressful in the sense that when they are to interview people of power and influence and how they deal with other reporters at field work to get the news right immediately and being on the spot where the news happened especially at the site of crime, war-torn countries and whatever is important for the news network and their patrons. The very stressful work is how to separate and differentiate war from mass murder whether it's justified or not. That's the greatest pressure reporters have to deal with.

Better to be a Chef or Masterchef?

I know it's complicated to be a cook and to clean all the mess after the food are cooked is too tiring and wish that it's better to dine at the restaurant and be just plain customer instead.

Now what? Relax and enjoy dessert, watch the movie TRANSFORMERS 4: Age of Extinction.

Truly very entertaining transformers, lots of actions, more high-tech 3D special effects and vibrant clean pictures, the sound is sharp, crispy and clear. Beautiful, fantastic  sceneries. smart, bright colorful movie designed and produced for smart movie-goers. Why Bumble Bee over-reacted and gone mad? Watch for it to find out.
