It's A Dream. It's A Nightmare!

Shocking! I had a nightmare last night. The whole Vancouver island is covered with taro leaves. Would you believe that?

Hawaii. The island looks like Hawaii with all those vibrant green taro leaves. What a taro leaf? Or leaves as in plural.

Taro leaves are from the taro plant native to tropical regions of the world. The leaves are water repellant (like a heart-shaped umbrella). The plant has tuber or roots that are edible and can be used as substitute for grain crops because it has the same nutrients of a carbohydrate. This tropical plant grows abundantly on swampy area.

You wont believe my father owned a small pond with taro plants before. There are three types of special viands that you can cook using taro leaves: 1. pinangat or bicol express, 2. laing and 3. pinais.

With lots of tasty, spicy delicious stuffing inside such as:
Coconut cream, shredded ginger, sliced onions, chopped garlic, salt, ground blackpepper, smoked salmon - sliced, scallops, shrimps, sliced pork meat
