Something Old, Something New

Mostly housework today on balmy cold Sunday morning. The snowfall stopped, yey! But the snow on the ground is so wet that I don't like walking on it because you know there's nothing to do outside anyway. I had so much laundry today, about 5 loads. Would you believe that? Bed sheets, bed cover, comforter, towels, pillow cases, clothes (separate the dark clothing from white clothes). Soon I will need to buy laundry detergent and fabric softener.

My husband received an early morning call from a friend who owned a cat named Kelly who had problem with her kidney. She's already 15 years old and it seems that she's sick because the last time he had to visit them the cat didn't sit on his lap and she's not that playful. 15 years old for a cat is really, really that old. Kelly cat has no kitten because she was neutered. Most of the indoor cats in Canada are neutered or fixed not to make any children. Poor Kelly cat. She'll soon pay a visit with her veterinarian. Hoping she'll get well soon.

It's the 11th day of December 2016 and we are watching the old movie "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" starring Sean Connery, Shane West, Dorian Grey, Captain Nemo, etc. Not bad! I was amazed of the vessel or extraordinary ship they used to travel. It's like a sharp edged sword. Isn't that the kind of ship in the novel of  Jules Verne?

Anyway, what could be the best story for today?

My husband ... when he opened the greeting cards given by his boss. Surprise!!!!!!!! Thank you for the warm greetings and for the gifts. MERRY CHRISTMAS too!

Who would have given us Christmas cards in today's time? That's very thoughtful and so generous of the boss. Thanks!

The message in the "Snoopy" card from Maryjo is hilarious! Ha ha! LOL.

Thanks for the sweet cheesecake. My daughter shared the vanilla cheesecake! Best cheesecake ever!
I wonder what's the secret recipe.
