Goodbye Summer. Welcome Autumn Equinox!

 Goodbye Summer! Welcome Autumn.

The weather temperature from hot to cooler in the past few days are very evident. It is only 12 C today, this morning. It's okay no problem. The problem would be in Atlantic Canada because I think hurricane Fiona is about to unleash its mighty hurricane wrath. Be prepared as usual.

Hubby had a drive around the local area and some of the trees are already showing its foliage, the colorful leaves of maple trees in different array of golden colors to crimson. Beautiful. I'm only here at home so I don't see those trees at Creekside. The trees here at where I live are of oak, douglas fir trees, apple trees, spruce, the exotic tree that look like a chestnut tree in the neighborhood, dogwood tree, and some evergreens. We're located in the oldest part of the city where fir trees, pine trees and few exotic trees are part of the scenery  and the newly built houses in the northern and southern part of the city had developers planted in their streets with maple trees and cherry blossom trees in their yards, isn't that wonderful?

My parents in law had their house located in an executive part of the city where front yards of every houses are adorned with cherry blossom trees. So at spring-summer time, that part of the city looks like Japan. It feels like a cherry blossom festival is celebrated in that area.

We once resided in an area where developers planted maple trees for every house's yard. At Fall or Autumn, the beautiful colors of the foliage is a captivating scene of awe and wonder as if you are in fantasy land.

Our family moved from one house to another in this part of the city for more than 25 years so I know what the weather temperature in each part of this city as in "varies differently." If you think that it's 12 degrees Celsius in this area, then in the southern, northern and western part of the city has different temperature. It's not the same. Even the soil has its variation of alkalinity and acidity. You can plant exotic, Asian or tropical plants and trees in certain part of the island facing the East or facing the Pacific Ocean. We have a neighbor whose anahaw plant struggling to grow but it's there alive at their yard for more than 3 years maybe or older than that. Its growth has been stunted. I mean you know how high the snow here in January and February 2022? Up to 3 ft of snow. Wow! That exotic, stunning anahaw is really something to think about. While my palm tree passed away in year 2020 after 1 1/2 being in and out of the house. Hot and cold weather temperature is dangerous for plants. For humans, hot & cold temperature can cause headaches. It's not COVID. If you have colds and cough at this time of the year...it is not covid. Learn to know the symptoms. Don't be lazy! You have internet and computer or cellphone? Google your symptoms if you have cold, cough and if persist for 2 days then it's time to take OTC meds. Sometimes the cure for colds and cough is just a remedy of Vitamin C, hot chicken soup with ginger. Try Lipton chicken noodle soup. It's good for you. The weather temperature is changing so your body and mind is trying to adapt the temperature. Wear sweater and clothing well suited for the climate zone in your area.

My bougainvillea hasn't bloom any flowers for more than a year but at least still alive and growing and growing... my banana plant/tree is growing fast or is it slow? Few more inches and its leaves will reach the ceiling of the house. My ginger plant has been demised a year ago. My fortune plant is growing fast, thank God!I want more fortune plants.
