Long Time Ago

The truth is I never get out of focus. I was not a scholar when I was in the University but my grades are very deserving. I earned grades of 1.00, 1.25, 1.50 , 1.75, 2.00 to 2.25 & the 3.00 is not deserving! I got those grades from professors who are gays. Sooooooo unfair! I was not one of the students who are in the Dean's List (with top honors) lining up and or sitting at the front door crying asking for help so that the Dean of the Arts and Sciences of the University will change their grades or have remedial grades. I'm not one of those students who will rally outside because their teachers and the school have unfair treatments against students or the tuition hikes, and other problems during college life. Although there are times when students from other universities will gather round at the gate of our school and demand that the students in our class and the whole school should participate in the mass rally. Then one thing that I cannot forget is when a tear gas and pill box was thrown at our class room at the second floor of the building where my classmates and I are having an afternoon class. Shocking we had people screaming, yelling and screeching running to get out of the room. There was a stampede! What to expect? Pandemonium of course. I was running carrying my bag and books at the same time laughing at the adrenaline rush on the stairs. It's okay nobody died. The security guards at the gate decided to spray them with water. Hosed them down on the ground with WATER! Some of these violent students were arrested and jailed for certain period of time.

I never have a hard time or any difficulty when it comes to studying. Even my own teachers from Grade Schools and College can attest to that. One of them even asked me with such curiousity if I'm doing a research-study because of how I approach the many obstacles. I learned because of curiousity and that's different from studying. I learned to gain. Ro-gain? Mag aloe-vera ka na lang.

Thank God I didn't take Nursing. I don't like carrying heavy weights. Not my type! My sister would like to take that course as preparatory to Medicine. Unfortunately, we're not rich enough to take that course. She opted to enroll in BS Chemistry. Chemistry is more difficult to study than Nursing. For all I know. She's good in Math and Physics. When it comes to Physics I hate it when I was in High School. Then later I realized it's one of the best subject that I've known. Anyway, I didn't take Physics or any Science degree in College. I took AB Economics. Yeah I know it's boring! My first priority is to graduate with a degree in BS Psychology or BS Architecture or Fine Arts. You know I can try any college course and I know I can pass with flying colors. The problem that time? Money. Financial aid. Both of my parents are working to make both ends meet still they cannot afford to have all of us, all at once in University. My brothers took Vocational courses instead so that my sister and I can have a 4 Year Course. Ah, those were the days.

Having an Economics degree didn't lead me to NEDA (National Economics Development Authority). My first job was in a Travel Agency located in Ayala Avenue. I helped or assist the Accountant of that agency with their financial statements and accounts. I hate numbers though I end up looking for other source of employment. I love my work in Pharmaceuticals. I love detailing medical products to doctors or medical practitioners. I should have stayed in that Pharma. Oh well, it's too late. Besides my old friends no longer work there. One of them moved to a private clinic close to Makati Medical Center and the other one works for GMA 7 Network. I don't know if she's still there or she went abroad. No communication after year 2000.

Year 2001 seemed to me like an Odyssey. Too slow ----------

2009? You can reverse it to 2006 or if you have problem adapting with the Olympics you can have 2010 in 2009! Numbers are such a TRICKSTER!

Grades of 3.00 to 4.00 here in Canada or the USA will lead you to be one of the TOP TEN with honors in HARVARD! VERITAS! That's why a College drop-outs in those kind of University end up one of the Millionaires of Fortune Magazine. "Magazine!" How about in reality?

What if I tell 'ya I work for the IMF?
