Sixteen Years Ago

I can't think of a better topic today other than to relate what happened in Year 1993. It was the time when I and my husband Lorne had a grand vacation in Victoria.

VICTORIA the capital of British Columbia. The prime city noted for its majestic Parliament Building, still grand and stunning after all those years. Can still stand the test of time and of natural hazards and difficulties. Well, we're not really there for the Legislature or for any political aim other than to see the many attractions in downtown Victoria.

Victoria, the city that is almost flawless. A gateway to the multitudes of locals, tourists, expats, workers, merchants, business men, students, sightseers, curious people, politicians, photographers, you name it the place is for people from different walks of life.

The city is quite busy. Very busy, hectic as in you can't drop a pin because there's no space. The streets were busy with people walking and sightseeing moving to one building to another to take a glimpse of the many entertainment provided for the many visitors of this area. Of course I took pride in viewing the many waxed royalties and celebrities at Royal Wax Museum. Couldn't resist being photographed with the Royal Family's wax images at the background.

We also had the chance to visit the Butchart Garden. This famous garden is one of a kind. They have all the extraordinary and exotic variety of flora. You wont help control yourself but be amazed of how the expert gardeners were able to hybrid some roses to different colored species like changing their natural colors to a multi-faceted petals. I guess they are experts when it comes to Alchemy. The landscape of this unique garden is a must- see. Perfect!

Yeah I was caught talking to the exotic tropical parrot from Brazil. Ahahaha! At least. Didn't I mentioned in the past that some group of butterflies swarmed on top of my hat that the group of German tourists couldn't resist taking pictures of me ---and the butterflies of course!

Another parrot loves talking to me. How nice eh?! Can they really talk? The truth is they can mimic. They are smart birds you know.

Crystal garden is site dedicated for tropical animals and plants. They have the smallest monkey that is only less than 4 inches! Banana trees, lemon and key lime plants and other plants native to tropical countries.Too bad I think this tourist attraction has been closed down.

The Miniature World. Oh I love this place. The miniature world showcased inside the Empress Hotel. It features the wonders of little people and little town, circus, railways, magic kingdom, fantasy land and what else? You'd better be there to see is to believe and maybe assumed and imagine you are in Young Gulliver's travel to enchanted kingdom.
