Only Treats No Trick Here

My husband bought three boxes of goodies for Halloween treats yesterday. Boxes of assorted chocolates, maynards chewy peach candies, potato chips. Fortunately we only have five little toddlers who knocked at our door. So that means the rest of the treats will be for me and my kids to eat and enjoy. Somehow I was thinking that the spirit of halloween celebration is not much fun this time of the year. Unlike last year and in the past when there are about hundreds coming in and going in front of our house and other houses within the village.

There are too many reasons why. First there was this scare of the swine flu. You know some people make the news so big about swine flu as if it is really a pandemic. I mean many died of just an ordinary flu okay. Or you'll die being in a long line up together with those people infected with the true influenza. No. I didn't mean to say that. You're panicking for such an inflection you are not so familiar with. People die because they run out of breath okay? That will pacify your way of thinking irrationally. Secondly, the econmy is not that really good. Too many unemployed. The costumes in the department stores are really costly. Imagine some of the costumes were made from cheap materials and the costs ranged from $19 to $60.00 + Whew! it's time to think about other holidays coming like Christmas. Save your money for Christmas Day.

Oh by the way, it's already All Saints Day in asian countries. I just would love to visit my grandmother and special friends but knowing they usually visit me in my dreams then probably there's no need to go there and visit them at the cemetery. I will just offer a solemn prayer for them. For them and for my loving mother-in-law who passed away in 2005. She too appeared in my dreams twice already. The first time was , 3 days after her burial. The second time was just recently.

People who are so close to me and who are not with us anymore in this world always take the opportunity to visit me in my unconscious moments called DREAMS. It was never a nightmare. It was not scary at all. All my dreams about them are happy and full of zest for life. Lively conversations and mysterious situations that keep me puzzled through the ordeal of having them decoded.

I don't know why they like showing or having their appearance in my dreams. Lately I found that I'm not all alone with this kind of paranormal activity. Somebody from another website has also been fortunate to be a medium for this kind of mind boggling experience. Although what she usually reveal is that she can see ghost. She is not dreaming! She can see ghost. Uhm, I happened to see something like that. I was inside the condominium. It was a tall building, on the 18th floor. I just came out from my bedroom and happened to see something like a white cloud on the living room. I was shocked and frightened. How come there's a "cloud" ( resemblance) or kind of a fog in the living room? The windows are tight closed and so as the doors. There is nobody inside the house but only me. My God, kinilabutan talaga ako. It's my first time to see something like that. I first thought I was in a dreamlike situation pero I was not dreaming at that point in time. I didn't cook that day. So where that fog came from? The next day when I called at my sister's office I was shocked to find out of a bad news that my cousin died (actually not related to us but their family lived in the compound and she is one I can consider a cousin for being so nice and kind). She of all I've known so bubbly, cheerful and very healthy-looking girl suddenly died. I just couldn't believe it.

I have too many stories to tell you about premonitions and mysterious occurrences that is too much for our mind to absorb and unravel. Why I encounter these kind of mysterious phenomena maybe it has something to do with my curiousity when I was very young. Fascination with the "after life." Hunting ghosts whether they are real or not. From my childhood detective sleuth fact-finding at the old almost ancient hospital built in 1912 where people keep talking about the "white lady" who hung herself at the ceiling of the hospital. The story as old as World war II. She was an american nurse who killed herself - suicide. That her spirit keeps haunting the hospital and the American Cemetery in Fort Bonifacio. That also was a part of my on-going fact-finding of the truth.

Anyway, that's all folks. Happy All Saint's Day and Happy All Souls' Day. Be safe!
