It's been a week of line casting, fly fishing at the river. With too many avid sportsman fishing is a way of life here at the village, where jumping, bouncing healthy salmons are a must see. It brings more and more people, tourists, expats, villagers and passersby , young and old alike ....at the river front close to the steel bridge. It was a hectic line dancing on fresh water together with the school of fish. Forget about how cold the water. Forget about that running shallow water can make their clothes wet. The loud yelling and shouting every time they caught something big is sure way to bring the many excited fishermen at the bank of this beautiful river. Only here, only in Natural Supernatural BC.
Now that we have more than a dozen salmons the question of storing them for winter is crucial. The fridge and freezer is not enough that we are in search for a bigger affordable freezer; to minimize the amount or quantity of the salmons for storage, few of these fish were given away for free, one big salmon cooked for sinigang with bokchoy and lots of spices. Other salmons were deepfried and dipped in red hot sauce.
Salmons, salmon solomon.
Eh!? Solomon Shalom solomon...salmon.
Who would have thought Solomon has lots of salmon?
