I had so much fun having just one day tour of the mainland Vancouver. Not that I haven't had a chance to visit that place before but it was just passing through the busy streets of commuters, vehicles of all kinds that you have to drive carefully or you might bump into something or the hazards of accidents happening is always clear and present because of the traffic that 's almost inevitable especially if you are a new comer in that big city that it is better to ride buses, taxi or ride the sky train. The access to bus and sky train is awesome. Too many fast-running trains available for the public. There is really no problem with the commuting in that high fast paced environment. It is kind of slow for a while when you are not familiar with the road but having GPS gadget hooked up to your vehicle or available map for direction is a plus to find those places where you want to see for your own perusal and distinction. But mostly the reason why people tend to move to the mainland is the adjacent accessible to all the life's basic necessities and greater opportunities such as employment, access to higher education > university and colleges, and other comforts and luxuries. For the most part mainland Vancouver is highly industrialized where all the big companies and establishments are founded and built to suit the population. It is also the place for the bigger world class arena, parks, museum, concert halls, embassies and observatory. It is the place where almost all the action happened, a metropolis of all good and well...costly. It is not too cheap to live in the mainland. A two bedroom unit (furnishings not included) condominium in the heart of the city cost as much as $1,500 to $2,000/monthly. Although I may introduced or endorsed that kind of living quarters for a newly wed couple without children or for students who would like to share the bill for the sake of being thrifty or saving while studying in the times of economic situation that is a little futile. Good for seniors too because of the access to elevator going up and down the building with just a push of a button. The buildings are secured and safe. Most buildings are in Vancouver and the owners and tenants > they all followed certain rules and guidelines. That's quite a safehaven for the residents. I wont mind living in one of the condos in that metropolis. Access to all amenities within minutes through sky train is amazing. I love it.
I found Vancouver mainland the place to be when the time is right. It's a combination of Hong Kong and Manila in one big city of lights and skyscrapers.
