Then laundry time and something weird happened. The water coming from the faucet at the utility tub has that strange pressure and the red button was pumping out cold water instead. While the blue button has the hot water. There was no hot water. I don't know if that triggers the washing machine not to function properly. Anyway the plumber was called and he fixed the problem right away. Next, the washing machine malfunctioned. The machine registered a strange code on its screen such as "nF." What the hell is that? I was thinking it could be "not Finished." I tried to set the machine in a new setting instead but it wont spin and had that strange code " nd." Now what's the meaning of "nd?" ha ha ha ha! Dude, it's not Nostradamus. If only this machine could talk. Maybe ten years from now washing machines will talk. It has music when it signals the laundry is finished so maybe next time it will talk. So the problem is the spin cycle. It has problem spinning in a spin cycle. My husband said we'll just have the repair man to fix the problem. Lorne called Sid from Willow Point Appliances and he opened the washing machine.
Looks like a mini-version of Large Haldron Collider
He found grains of sand in it, underneath the metal basket, from the rim to other parts of the machine especially at the motor. These are the "diagnosis" > NF and ND fault codes, washer not drying, burnt out pump. He installed new pump and cleaned the washing machine.I was reminded of the Brita water filter, and those people who suffered gall stones, kidney stones and bladder stones. Use BRITA WATER FILTER to make sure the water is safe and drinkable enough.
Here comes the sad part. The cost of the new spare part for the washing machine to keep it moving and doing its required work is amounting to $207.62 , that includes the labor or service fee.
Moral lesson? Rinse the work clothes first on your utility tub before putting the clothes inside the washing machine. Have a yearly check-up of your machines and do not lose the warranty card.
