Saturday & Sunday's Entertainment Galore

Housework's done after lunch and after my family had an early lunch of "sopas" before 12 noon it's time for me to go upstairs and have an afternoon siesta or naptime. It's Saturday remember? I need a day-off too. I worked everyday in my own home.

Last night when my husband and my sons watched the movie Captain America Part 2 "Winter Soldier.". and they were watching it downstairs on TV. He told me to watch it later because they were halfway through seeing the movie. So we waited and watched something else, the replays of iCarly, Victorious, and BTR. The other day when my daughter Tam watched the first movie Captain America: The First Avenger...  it was okay. I think the movie brought a fresh new movie actor on the wide silver screen. Chris Evans is charming and has potentials when it comes to action and the latest action hero who is more than handsome. Of course action heroes or leading actors should be better looking than the enemies or rival enemies. It would be disgusting to see that a contra-vida is better looking than action heroes. If you know what I mean.

So my daughter likes the first movie of Chris Evans that she's excited to see the second movie. We both like action- suspense movies. We preferred Jacky Chan action karate movies with comedy but this movie is good enough. In this movie Steve Rogers has aged. After 70 years, he is no longer that sweet charming slim-skinny boy who was trained in the military. He is still Captain America but with mature facial features probably aged 30+ when he should be older than his girlfriend. Anyway, with Robert Redford in this movie who acted as a villain instead of a leading character plus the many robotic-infused superhuman beings also in the lead the action packed movie is more interesting and exciting than before. Scarlett Johansson as Natanya has that "flash-mode" moves and chameleon features are added bonus to this 3D high-tech suspense action drama movie. The theme of this movie has similarity with X-Men movies and Fantastic 4 combination. Hate to compare one movie from another but probably the producer and director knew their audience and that's why they cater to what's in demand with moviegoers. It's not a boring movie so I think it wont receive a rotten tomato rating.

Saturday. What's the entertainment for Saturday aside from watching movies? Watched sports: soccer, CFL and NFL and Baseball.

Jamie Bell as Abraham Woodhull
TURN: WASHINGTON SPIES

AMC has that TV Series TURN: Washington Spies; that we usually watch every Saturday. The episode tonight is more endearing, entertaining, dramatic, nerve-wrecking and if you are a fanatic about Abraham's family you'll get nervous at what gullible Abraham Woodhull got into this time once again as always being bullied by the British soldier. The duel between Abraham and the arrogant British soldier is one for the record in this weekly series.

I hate drama but TURN the television series is historically very interesting. What I mean to say it has relevance and significance during the Confederation, the civil war during the 18th Century (American-British War). To whom you pledge allegiance with?

I had this as "draft" first last night to be posted today. Now, it's Sunday and what is the Sunday Mass Sermon for today? Do you go to church? I used to attend mass every Sunday. I was very religious way back then when I was a young girl because my Mother is very religious. However my faith has changed because of a disappointing situation about the parish priest in another province in Canada who is a racist. Racism sometimes played a part in whether you can be kicked out from office or be kicked out from the clergy. I think that parish priest was sent to Timbuktu because the Knights of Columbus voted a non-favor alliance with the priest because he doesn't makes sense. Sounds like Aristocat? LOL.

Yup, I baked this loaf bread. I first thought I will stop baking and watch my carb. intake.
I can't help it. Cooking and baking is my life blood.

Fried sunshine eggs and toasted bread with butter for my husband's breakfast and Tamara and I had blueberry-carrot loaf bread for breakfast. Warm milk for her and hot brewed coffee for me. So this is my Sunday post. Have a nice day people. Peace be with you all!
