Beautiful Flowers

My sister Emmy and her husband Romy came to visit us and brought some veggies from their garden and brought bouquet of beautiful fresh flowers from their floral garden.

My sister's garden has more variety of plants compared to my little garden outside the house. The flowers are supposed to be for my daughter who celebrated her birthday recently. She doesn't like being photographed instead it's me she wants to be in the picture. So okay, I would love being photographed with those colorful flowers.

The dahlias on this photograph were from our garden. They were big and heavy and their trunks can't support them while they were swayed so much by the strong winds and rain outside. The wind's blowing so hard as if there's a storm or something? I cut those flowers right away to rescue the dahlia's trunks. A dahlia plant can grow up to 4 ft. to 5 ft. and can produce big flowers one after another in one week , and one trunk can have 5 to 10 flowers. One flower is the shape and size of a traditional saucer. Other species of dahlias can bloom flowers the size of a big plate.

Look how tall the Japanese fortune bamboo plant. This plant was given by the teacher from Timberline High School for my daughter in year 2011. I clipped the young plant from the original Japanese bamboo fortune plant  and set aside on another vase. I could plant it on the soil but it thrives on water so I'd rather have it submerged on water instead.

The other plant is oregano placed on a decorative tin can (on a bike) I think it's for my son. This plant was also given by my sister Emmy.

Before my sister and her husband left our home, they gathered seeds from the daisies and petunias in my garden. I don't mind. Not enough? I gave them one rock cod and three pieces of smoked salmon.

She loves gardening and she likes to plant different kind of plants in her garden. I suggested that she should own a flower shop because her hobbies also include flower arrangement. With hundreds of plants in her garden she could make money from such creativity.

Skills and creativity can make money. Just like having these beautiful photographs. Their "prints" can be xeroxed copied and framed. If you owned those productive "machines" you can make so many postcards and use the images for book cover, notebook cover, desktop wall image cover (no ink necessary to produce), poster, wall paper. Problem could be more than what you could bargain. INK is expensive in Canada.
