I WANDERED LONELY AS A CLOUD
by : William Wordsworth
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er valleys and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way
They stretched in never ending line
Along the margin of a bay
Then thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance
The waves beside them danced but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee;
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company
I gazed and gazed but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought
For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flashed upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.
Note: "I wandered lonely as a cloud.." the favorite line of mine of this famous poem, reminiscing, dreaming until I fall asleep. Then suddenly I heard a loud voice saying, "would you like to go shopping?" and OFF we go for an afternoon of shopping. Walking, browsing, buying at the big box store called Costco is meant to be an exercise. Daydreaming > Walking along the walkway and smell the ocean breeze, watched the people walking their dogs, children and adults found time biking and hiking along the old familiar trail routes.<
We browsed through the bright alleys of food, delis, and arcade of household appliances and furniture for the house. Although our first priority is actually our week's supply of food for the family. It could be a monthly supply of food depends on how much each member consumes in a day. It's always good to have stock of food at home no matter what.
Fortunately along the highway we're charmed by hundred flocks of these feathered creatures. I wonder what kind of birds.
Here it goes the zoom lens perception > Wow! Aren't they so beautiful? Lovely white as snow flock of swans not on water but threading through the grassy meadow of a humble farm.
So many of them on the fertile green grass and I can hear their loud noise fills the air. They keep on moving non-stop making funny sounds, their long legs and long neck in an egyptian movement yeah "walk like an egyptian movement." Makes me laugh. Funny locomotion.
More photo snapshots to satisfy my addiction to PHOTOGRAPHY.
Tall trees towering along both sides of the highway now feels like singing > Evergreen and "I see trees of green, red roses too. I see them bloom for me and you and I said to myself it's a wonderful world... Yikkes! It reminds me of the funeral song for my employer's father who died of cancer. SLN and RIP. That's his funeral song and he loved trees so much.
Only to be amazed of the big clay pots. Sorry was not able to target the "huge giant clay pots" our 4x4 RAM truck is moving so fast. I could only take pictures to the speed of light one shot at a time. Really it is such a pain when the vehicle is moving or in motion and I really have to keep my hands steady and on strong grip to make the photos clear and worthy of a view. Thank God my husband's driving for me to apply my skills in this worthy kind of hobby.
