Something Interesting To Read

Here I am holding the July 2005 MABUHAY Travel and Lifestyle magazine. I made a point to have my own copy every time I go for a vacation in the Philippines via PAL (Philippine Air Lines). Of course I asked that with permission from the flight stewardess. It was a good read > this travel magazine features all the interesting beautiful spots in my country. The great good thing about this famous magazine particularly this copy for July 2005 featured the Greenbelt Urban Oasis which is located in the metropolis of Makati City. This lonely small village was once a Spanish pueblo with not much exciting views and interesting agenda until the village people became so devoted with Catholic religion, from paganism the small pueblo has turned the rural area into one fabulous city and now the busiest and most industrialized modern lively city of different faces from different walks of life. It is now the modernized city lavishly rich and endowed with tall and (high-rise) skyscrapers and modern facilities for commercial establishments, condominiums and world class hotels and restaurants. This modern city can now be compared with Hong Kong and Singapore for their tower of power.

Makati area especially the Greenbelt zone area caters too many fine dining, discotheques, cinema and mega malls. It was an oasis of  fashion boutiques and jewelry stores. You don't need to go to Kowloon to purchase your jewelry once you eyed what they've got there. There are museums where relics and paintings are one of a kind. I missed this > Ayala museum simply because it reminds me of my elementary years. My grade school class went there once to view the "spoilarium" (lol) the many paintings of the famous Filipino artist Luna and Fernando Amorsolo. Diorama also have the way to motivate us about Filipino's ingenuity when it comes to art. The Blood Compact between Sikatuna and Legazpi in one of the paintings on the wall set standard obviously on what happened in early years of the Philippine revolution and it matched on how the present generation with strong bonds to the word "blood compact." Don't get me wrong here. The compact is somewhat a civilized term for the mix race era of sharing brotherhood not of war but for certain freedom seeking allegiance in a more positive way. Yes dudette they are "civilized." Five hundred year rule made sense! Don't tell me that the Philippines didn't have any history of civilization. You wont believe that they are more civilized than any other countries in the world.

Okay don't spoil my history as its best. I noticed that there are "culprits" changing my blog entries here as if my grammar has been messed up by the storm.

Oh by the way, the Monkey Tree on South Island H-way you mean was toppled down by raging furious wind? Really? You mean the kamikaze wind did that to the monkey tree? Oh no! The storm's really sooooooooooo bad!
