The greatest hero that ever lived to be of greater inspiration to every Filipinos, to every human beings around the world. There is nobody like him. How could there be? His mind is somewhat a computer-like in nature. For a very young mind whose accomplishments equal that of a man whose life been in self-actualization already and the uranium has been utilized for greater glory of God.
Dr. Jose P. Rizal was born in Calamba, Laguna on June 19, 1861. Year 1861 the Philippines was under the Spanish rule. Jose's family originated from China. Jose actually had Chinese-Filipino blood running through his veins. According to history he was from a Malay race. Malayo-Polynesian race. It could be that ancestry is traced from who were the inhabitants of the Philippines and then the race or ancestry were added to his "blood-race." Everyone wants to be "connected" to a very smart individual.
There are so many "myths" being told about Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Some are true and some are lies and propaganda. Trying so hard to sell his books? For what? We all know as Filipinos that we have Rizaliana as a subject in High School and in College. We all have to buy his books as reference to that subject. Yes he is the greatest hero of the Philippines no doubt about it but to include nonsense about his life story is sacrilegious and it only lessen the true nature of his heroism.
Why a man who is hailed as young hero during his early years was exiled in Dapitan and was then executed to die by firing squad in Bagumbayan (Luneta, Rizal Park)? That is so tragic right? Was there any consultation or any kind of intercession to stop the death penalty? What kind of dishonorable act of violence he did against Spain?
At a very young age Jose Rizal showed an extra-ordinary kind of intelligence. He is really very smart and excelled in the arts. He loved to draw and his paintings won award and the Spaniards were happy for him. The Spanish government love the arts and the fame it brought to their country. For art sake that if you will see the result of the architectural structure during the Spanish regime which until now in our time and age is evidently seen through the architectural works on the edifice and buildings of the government, the architectural structures of many universities and churches. Arts is better than Science.
The hero was known also to have worked on illustrations, drawing funny characters including drawings of animals and made them into comics. The most celebrated comic characters he made were the story of the turtles and the monkey whose after a banana tree. Smart that he is he liked to engage in so many subjects at a time. He was always curious and into that curiosity he seek them all every where he goes even to other parts of the world. He studied in Europe. He studied in Germany, in Heidelberg University. He studied and learned to speak and write not only in Latin, German, Slavic, and other languages most commonly spoken during his time. He became a linguist. Latin is the subject he most tried to learn and specialized because most of the books are written in Latin version. But for the most part of his study in other country is his specialization in Opthalmology because his mother was blind already in that time period and he wanted to cure her blindness.
Back to where he was at a very young age:
His mother Teodora adviced him so many times about enlightenment and how to avoid such bright light. She showed that through the use of lamp and the many creatures flying around the lamp (gasera) while she tutored the young Rizal. In that period of time, the creature flying close to the lamp died because of its flame. That helped him remember the lesson from his mother. In his later years, while he was busy trying to finish his two novels while in exile, two novels: Noli Me Tangere (Don't TOUCH Me) and El Filibusterismo, which according to History had only angered the government officials and the Catholic Church because of its horrendous explicit details of corruption and blatant lies and the worst of its content is > priests or friars having families hidden from the public. Friars are not allowed to have wives and children. It is against the doctrine of priesthood. It was the greatest scandal of all times. Remember it's Spanish time. What worst sin you have to do in those time. Dr. Jose P. Rizal maybe the brightest, smartest and intelligent human being but he was against the many friars who were considered god-like! GOD-LIKE image!
You can revolt and be rebellious with other denominations or with any government official in that period of time but you cannot argue with God-like creatures, I mean God-like creations for they personified GOD in all its IMAGE and WONDERS!
The question of who were those GODs and GODesses of that time, in Year 1890 to Year 1896?
