We had a lonesome visitor at the rose garden. Incredible but colorful caterpillar. I have seen so many caterpillars before, different sizes and different variety of colors. Some are chubby and some are skinny. Few caterpillars have smooth silky skin but others have hairy skin. The brown, yellow and white caterpillar above image is simply cute but I know once you touch it you'll have itchy and swollen patches on your skin. You'll suffer an incredible rash and you'll be scratching your legs and arms. This caterpillar is the first one I have seen at the garden and another caterpillar crawling at one of the rose's stem next days after. One of them had to put inside the transparent glass and showed it to Tamara and want to know how she'll react and what to do about it. Maybe she'll have that initiative to have an experiment just like me during my days of science experiment. Well she just look at it for a while and then continued with her computer games.

Oh, darn! I was disappointed I first thought it will take her off time from her computer "work."

I tried in every possible way for her to take time out from the glares and bright stunning "flat flashlight" but she's just like other teens her age who are attracted to computers. However, thank goodness that she is not into non-stop texting using cellphones or iPhones or Blackberry texting messages to all the strangers those teens met online. What she is interested are just computer games and watching animated cartoons plus the good role model Nickelodeon stars. Other than that life seems happy and comfy for her. She never complain. She's got everything. She's such a good girl and in her own world.

I cannot be like her. I have to find happiness in nature. I have to see something else. I cannot confine myself in my own room and have computer to myself. I cannot stand to be in front of the computer for more than two hours. I can come back every one hour and do my computer work and then do my household chores: cooking, cleaning, laundry and all the duties at home where no one dare to work on. We don't have a maid. How much will you pay for a maid to do house work in Canada?

A visit to the garden. Spend time, just a little time to take the slugs out from the rose bushes, perennials, and other plants where caterpillars crawl.

Rows of extra-ordinary variety and species of roses are in our garden courtesy of my mother-in-law. She planted all these roses.

Yellow rose. Simply irresistible color for the "Yellow race." Bright, stunning and captivating. Add that famous song of  Martin 's "YELLOW."

One of a kind rose bud. Where in the world can you see a rose like this? Lime green and red? It is what it is...that's the natural color of this hybrid.

Hybrid rose, three tone colored rose: the petals have three different colors of pink, yellow, white.

Pink tea rose. Looks like peony but it's not. Simple layered pink petals.

The bloody red rose. Red petals with dark, dark red petals almost reddish-black in color.

There are so many variety of roses and species and you'll be amazed of how they are cross-hybrid and what kind of formula they are using to produce such incredible extra ordinary flowers. Just like the species of tulips? These flowers are highly productive and they are the source of income for the gardeners and flower shop owners.

Next? Almost time to prepare something for lunch.

What YOU got cooking? Good looking. Ha ha! I can only think of sinigang but we had that the other day. Think tank, think tank...
