The Power of Restraint

I know some of you were disappointed of the latest episode of the TWD (The walking Dead series). Episode: The Service is lame? Rick Grimes the police officer who tried as much as possible to control his killer instinct in front of the monstrous Negan and his gang. Olivia was spared from being killed. Negan and his men collected all the weapons from Alexandria but they didn't take their non-perishable food. Not bad, really. Somehow Negan has that "remorse" besides he was just taking the ammunitions that belong to them as you probably knew were stolen by Abraham and Daryl in previous episode.

What really happened? Who are in the right side? Who are brutally criminals in this apocalyptic series?

Negan showed remorse not to inflict more harm to Rick Grimes family and neighbors. There is that power of restraint or self-control. Rick Grimes could use the lucille bat ( Negan asked him to hold the bat) against Negan and he could do it instantly but they were outnumbered. Rick showed self-control to stop another bloody confrontation and when he told the Alexandrians that he was not in charge anymore, the more that the people thought they are in big trouble. They can't be subjected to more collections every time Negan and his gang will arrive at their gate.

In the next episode, Negan's way of life to collect whatever they can collect at the other site called "the mansion" could begin with retaliation or what could be? It could be a start of another war and bloody conflict? Only if they could practice restraint once again. The power of reason and persuasion is at stake. They should practice BARTER.
