There's Nothing Wrong With Fastfood

Truth is there's nothing really wrong with fastfood.  I worked in a pub/restaurant before as a line cook, before... so it's better to order fastfood once in a while or have food delivered at the doorstep of our home.

We have fastfood for the meantime that I was busy with something else and my children have to enjoy meals made by other cook or chefs.

A&W burger and fries are great! They have that kind of "original recipe" for their burger and fries totally different from other chain outlets.

The next day, my family have to order once again outside. My son thought it's better to buy our meals from the Sea Wok for chinese food but it was closed early that he went to QF. So here what we had for dinner: Fried rice, deep fried prawns, garlic beef with honey, stir fry noodles or chowmein, boneless pork with sauce, sweet and sour pork, chopsuey. I worked as a line cook in a Chinese restaurant before and I figured that the food we had that day was not cooked by Chinese cook. The taste is different. You can tell the difference. It's more like a western style cooking of chinese food. I'm sorry but I was not impressed.

Back to my own cooking of light meal for lunch. Chicken (pan fried on light medium salted butter with balsamic vinegar) salad with dill ranch dressing. Pan-fried sunshine egg on top of bagels.

Dinner: Roast beef with gravy, steamed potatoes, steamed brusselsprouts, vegetable salad, yorkshire pudding (baked by my husband his original recipe).

We're more of a Western Family? (lol) Not really, it's a typical Canadian family indulged in roast pork loin, roast beef, roast chicken or roast turkey. Typical, traditional CANADIAN FAMILY meals are most of the time about "roast" barbecue, grill, broil, stew and baked goodies.

However, there's really nothing wrong with fastfood at lunchtime. Once in a while...
