TRUTH IS I hate the BS

When PERFECTION is not good enough because truth is you really need to excel in being sociable where you have to suck up with the rest of the poncio pilatos. Well that happened to me, to my own Father, to my own kids. Even my nieces were victim of that system. WE don't suck up to get what we want. We have ability, we are talented. Conceited? The right word is CONFIDENT!  I remember wayback in Elementary School when I have to join a drawing contest, a poster drawing contest. Hundreds of students were chosen to compete based on their abilities, on their talent. Five district with at least 20 schools joining in. My teacher was happy and delighted to tell me that I won the award. I won that contest. She is my Music and Art teacher, she's young and beautiful, mestiza she keeps hugging me while my adviser looked on in disbelief. She's unhappy. I don't know why I looked at her like a contravida. Oh yes she had a favorite student who doesn't even excel in anything other than her drama and the "crying." So that's her the crying scenes are more artistic and source of talent. If that's the case I should have tried to CRY. Yeah cry out loud for the sake of winning. But I am not that kind of person. Is that a talent?  Yes dude TALENT. Talent when it comes to creativity about ARTS not Academic. If its Academic then I should also have the chance to compete but teachers were reluctant to give in simply for reasons that are "political" or they really want somebody from their own family. In those times, in those years...teachers have FAVORITISM it's really a great deal. Parents who are close to the teachers get so much priority and having parents who are working in the hospital, my Father is a military guy and my Mother worked in the same hospital and they were too busy to attend to the meeting and whatever the school have to organize. This kind of system should be abolished > favoritism. Grade school is the time and years of studies when students have their own club too and they are old enough to organize themselves in a civilized way. They have organization where in leaders are chosen to do the work of volunteerism if need be. No need for parents to do that task. They are not students and they are not allowed to represent the kids whatsoever unless of course there is that so called RACISM! However there's no known RACISM or prejudice in my school where I graduated because I for one thing will be opposed to that kind of system being the leader of the class. However there are certain distractions > Bullies are then recorded and reported by me. Yes there are bullies who bullied the weak and those handicap kids. It's not an anonymous call or recording and I set the record straight and in turned the bullies tried to bullied me instead. I think I was brave enough to fight them with a stern face and stared them in the eye and their bad behaviour is no match to me. That their own existence is not needed in a place called school. School is a place for learning. That's the correct emphasis > LEARNING. In my time studying is at home and LEARNING is doubled at school because of the presence of textbooks and lesson plan made by teachers.

Lately, while browsing on my collection of National Geographic I was shocked to see a photograph of my classmate's mother holding on to her child and another children with her. Yes dudette, the mother of my classmate in a ravaged area, in a pile of filthy garbage what they are doing there and how they looked as if all the burden of this world was dumped on them. Their face looks tormented, their clothes worn out wearing rugged clothes, the other children without clothes or almost naked, torn and in that filthy mountain of garbage...so dark and...is that smoky mountain or what? Or they were in a "barong-barong or shanty that's been caught on fire and few parts were burnt to ashes. OMG! I feel sorry for them and their loss. No wonder why my teacher needs to feel that void and help her in anyway she can.  That can't be her mother, I told myself. But having seen her mother and brothers before face to face I knew they were related. Only then I said to myself that maybe, maybe my teacher was compassionate on people who need the help, extra help to sustain their education, her education to get out from that so called miserable life. So what really meant to empahasize on this situation is empathy towards students who are in poverty and cannot afford education and through grants they can help sustain their own education to further help them. What happened to the students who are deserving of merit because they are so smart academically and in the arts except that they don't live in shanties?

I know and you know that EDUCATION is not about how much money you can afford to educate the children. Education is given to those who can be of help to the teachers regardless of how talented a student academically or how these people can make them feel. Is it compassion that makes you write  good grades to students even if they don't deserve it? If I will be a teacher the main emphasis would be on arts and academic minus all the emotional aspect of what these students may lead you to believe that you can change their lives by passing them to a higher level and disregarded other well deserving students. If the students may have a hard time or falling behind then the teacher has to implement on a "modified structure of education."Because somehow once the basis of record is found and realized that the system failed the school has to closed down for good and all teachers should be terminated, their job or work will be terminated.  Right seeking a level that is appropriate for that child based on age and mental cue and capacity. Psychology people. Never under estimate the power of the people who make this place a more symbiotic relationship. In my time psychologists are not permitted in the school system. For what? School is not a mental hospital. Big difference!!!!!!! Do you know? You cannot have a psychological testing on young children especially when they only start at school. When they don't learn anything in school. See that area. Do they LEARN anything in school? What levels are the school kids? What is the true real age of the students> Where they came from? Where they the students who came from other countries who lied about their age and they were accepted in grade schools to compete with younger kids? If the basis of their findings that the mental capacity of those kids from other countries who pretended of grade levels but their age and mental capacity was that of high school?  What happened to those students who are of right age and in that grade level being compared with the mentality of older students? I think that's where all the WRONGs happened. You have to do that psychological testing on teachers whether they are performing their rights as a teacher. Do they have mental capacity to teach at those levels? This is valid in all levels of schools. Psychological testing of teachers if they start testing it on their own students. Let's be fair. We should give them awards too.

What's my "basis of direction" here? I read an article that "seemed confidential" in nature although it was in one of the magazines I used to read. There are group of children from other countries who migrated to Canada, these group of ethnic families have school kids who were accepted in the mainstream and started their education here. Their mental age is that of high school, their body built is that also of high school, they are knowledgeable in many of the subjects: Math, Science and other subjects pertaining to Arts however they have problem with English and French. These kids were then accepted in the Grade School level joining batch of young kids born in Canada who were in the "right age" for the elementary level. They were automatically the Canadians. However are the teachers paid to teach and denied access to the true Canadians giving more priorities to those from other countries? What could be the truth? Some of them are not even French-speaking students. They are from other countries, war torn countries where the funding comes from? The basis of education and grading matters here and somehow they based their "grading" on the students who excel in Math, Science and other subjects. What happened then now is what are the Canadian students' chance in the academic with older kids whose supposed to be in High School? They should be in High School because they are of right age but they have to start at a grade level because yes they LIED about  their age. Actually they have no record of birth certificate. So let say they diodn't lie about their age but the education system here is you have to start from the very beginning to adapt. Weird eh? How can they have records? They were from war torn countries were documents are gone, washed away from flash flood, burnt down to ashes.  Canadian students most of the time failed in comparison with these older students. Their birth certificate may be at lost or revoked and none at all but their memory didn't fail them. But who will attest to this? Who will believe in this story? Sounds like what happened in World War II?

Guess what? This kind of familiar story happened in the Philippines too during the Martial Law era. What's the real story and scoop wishbone? People give in to give education to others who are the source of fund. Otherwise build your own schools and university with your own money. That's right! Watch SCHOOL TIES and you'll learn that "stockholders" of schools, prestigious schools depend their funding on the big shots and how you can suck up to your teachers. That's why celebrities used to tell them "they didn't finish their high school and they all are richer than you think." Or the smart ones dropped out of college and university because it's all BS in there!

Well for one thing I have a great story to tell in my 4 years of university and it's not really that fun at all. But you know me I based my education in observation and learning through the help of books not how the teachers teach and their method. I have my own method of teaching when I was in grade school and I know. I know how it feels. I know how it works.

Do you have a map? Aahahahhaah! I think we're all been used as guinea pigs. Ha ha ha ha! Happy? It's UNFAIR! So wake up people before it's too late.

P.S. Here's a good advice. You want to learn something? KEEP ON READING and by comprehension you are learning something that you didn't learn from school. You only need accreditation from teachers and from the school. If you're rich build your own school where students are taught the conservative way with  books, pencil, pen, pad paper, and notebooks. Don't forget the blackboard and chalk. Children learn so much when teachers used the blackboard for writing and printing. When teachers start using visual aids and slides you'll know kids wont be able to write the same way the kids of yesterdays. Notice their handwriting from yesterday and today. Big difference. That alone will show you what they learned from school. Is there any? Let us COUNT then. Sa tutuo lang. Utakan lahat yan. After all life is short! Art is long.
