An old photograph of my loving and caring Mother carrying me here, holding on to the piece of paper. In the photographs also are my grandmother, my sister, my two brothers. My two younger brothers are not born yet in that period of time. What could be that piece of paper I'm holding on and what was written on it? It could be one of my doodles, my drawing, list of grocery for my Mother to remember. It could be a prayer because we were at the front porch of the church. We went to attend the mass in Antipolo Church. At the background is the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I remember the Hinulugang Taktak (Pagsanjan Falls) near the church. My Father not in the picture was on tour duty which I don't need to elaborate. How could I remember such memory? Could it be every time that my Mother showed me the photograph she used to tell me the story again and again? Could it be the repetitive storytelling made me remember stories of long ago? What could be? It could be a secret.
Anyway, what's the true relevance or essence of this story? Just to let go show the world that my memory is awesome and amazing? Ha! Who cares I heard so many rants from so many people. They don't really care. Who cares? Nobody cares but those people whom my Father helped during the war in Vietnam. He was in the Medical Team. The Medical Team: International Red Cross, American and Philippine Red Cross joint forces to SAVE soldiers and civilians who were injured in that long battle in Vietnam. To further tell you the very long story is just really incredibly long. Long memory. I have a very long memory. Longer than the Nile river. Higher than a mountain. So really no need to remind me nor you about this but because it's my Father's birthday today; therefore I am more than grateful that I have a good, great amazing, awesome father in the world. There is no one like him. My Father the hero, the smart one and who's talent unequal and most of all his courage and bravery as a veteran is simply unforgettable and remarkable.
To you my dear Father
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Wishing you many more birthdays to come.

MOTHER
