You wont believe how hot yesterday. 29 degrees C is super hot. The scorching heat of the sun was unbelievable and electric fan is of no use. As if there's no oxygen available in the air. What the hell is going on? Can you just imagine if all the forest in British Columbia are wiped out and consumed by wildfire? Other countries will be fortunate enough to have lots of charcoal, coal, million drums upon drums of ink, then because of wildfire they can sell the lumber so cheap and we wont have nothing here to build our own houses and we will suffocate because the oxygen is lesser than it used to be. I can feel it now... and it's not funny!
I had severe headache and the pain medication can't do anything. I think my BP is so high again. I have to stay low and slow.
Maybe part of the severity is the dark roast coffee I had in the morning. The coffee tasted like burnt charcoal. It was not coffee but charcoal? WTH! Something is wrong with those people selling coffee with charcoal in it. How stupid. Even if I added an ounce of water of (the usual 8oz. cup +1 oz. water per ) the taste of that coffee is superbly charcoal. Throw up that's all I can do and never again to drink that coffee. Maybe some people like drinking liquified charcoal but not me. My husband said that's the cheapest coffee brand and it was on sale. FGS! Maybe that's the kind of coffee beans roasted so dark so that when it turns to liquid can be used for printing newspaper.
Why we have to complain? First so that we can avail of our rights as consumers. The product is not free. We pay for the value of the commodity as in "good quality, tried, tested and true." We make sure that we are to consume for our body is edible, something that we can safely eat and drink and coffee has nutritional value too but charcoal is like something that you have to consume if you are suicidal." I'm not suicidal.
While I complained about the pain I was experiencing the replay of ALONE television show has returned on HISTORY Channel. Two hour episodes: First the initiation, confirmation of the contestants being briefed in Mongolia on how they can survive, hunt or fish for food and stay alive in the course of their stay despite of all the hazards of changing weather patterns, prey of the wild animals and wild poisonous creepy critters such as asian pit vipers, mountain lions, wild grizzly bears and what else could be present or visible to the naked eye? The second episode is the first start of their redemption. Each of the ten contestants were taken to certain spot in the Mongolian tundra. Some of them are lucky to have been drop at few steps from the river while few of them were taken to where there are few hundreds of birch trees. Are they good for Mongol pencils? Unlucky for those contestants who were placed in just tall grasses way too far from the body of water and far away from the forest. How they can use their survival skills is up to them. They've been there before in the wilderness but not in Mongolia. The Carleigh you know from previous season episode of ALONE is different from today's episode. She got it right,
right away catching so much fish for food from the stream of water, however something went wrong. Accidentally the fish hook got entangled in her hand and the hook caught her hand, deep down inside the skin of her hand and she cannot take it out. For more than 20 hours she waited, crying, thinking of what she can do, she covered the injured hand with wild plantain leaves she pulled out from the grassy area then chewed the plantain with her saliva on it and that's her remedy (?) That's her immediate first aid. When she cannot do anything about it she tapped out. A bright yellow truck arrived for the rescue. The first contestant was eliminated and only 9 remains to continue the test of survival.
At least ALONE is definitely different from HUNGER GAMES. They don't have to kill each other just to survive.
