"You're not doing anything, you are fat!"
"You are lazy and overweight!" Wow! Whew such a blatant negative remarks from people who misjudged you and me for being fat.
Yes I look a little fat or let say chubby because I'm only 5 ft. tall and if I gained five pounds (5 lbs) then normally I have the power of the bulge. Besides, wheat in Canada seems to have inflamed my tummy. Just a piece of bread can increase the size of my stomach real fast. My God! What's in the bread here? Helium? Hello))) I have to ride the air balloon!
What is my normal weight? You probably wont believe that I only weighed about 92 lbs. when I was single. It never goes up to 100 lbs. until I came here in Canada. It must have been due to climate change and the food that's very fattening. My husband likes red meat and poultry and other meat that's available in the supermarket. He eats lamb, veal, venison and moose. He likes seafood and I also love seafood especially salmon, halibut, bluefin tuna, dungeness crabs, alaskan king crabs, shrimps and prawns include the many shellfish available in the wet market and at the dock. All these food add zest to the "weight program." I can only hope that no one is selling other kind of meat aside from those I mentioned. With the news on television about horse meat, meat from snakes, alligators and meat from other wild animals being sold for food consumption is so scary alright. Manatees and seals for food? Yuck! Please don't terrify me with that news, bad news and just the thought of it the fat that they have is enough to clog my arteries.
Living here at the island where only few people walk or seldom you see people walk because almost everyone drives to go and from to the prime center of the city. Walking should be a great exercise. Right? No! Besides, winter and spring is longer and the climate is really brazen cold, chilly even at summer time outside. When you think it's over 20 degrees centigrade outside you expect that it's already warm enough and you wear your shorts and sleeveless shirt but think again the wind can change all that expectation. Sometimes it's too late to have jacket or sweater you already catch the cold right away. That's how fast weather changes at the island. Unpredictable!
When I'm at home which usually I can be found anyway, is the usual task of everyday house cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. Of course need I mention my hobbies to keep me happy? H O B B I E S okay? You probably know that word in plural. I can do all the spare extra activity only after I'm done with serving my family for real.
My constant companion in cleaning the hardwood cherry floor of my home is the native broom from Baguio city. I bought it from the local asian store owned by a Filipina named Amy if you'll ask. I know it's hard to find that special broom. I don't like using an electric vacuum for the hard floor. It's not optional. This kind of broom is very essential in cleaning floor made of wood and even vinyl floors and ceramic floor tile. Handy and economical way to clean floors, guaranteed!
We have ceramic tile floors at the kitchen which need constant cleaning everyday most especially after all the cooking and other activity such as dishwashing, dusting, cleaning fridge, taking out garbage, and cleaning cupboards. Why cleaning and organizing kitchen seems redundant and everyday? I don't know. Maybe I'm such a clean freak. I'm just like that. I love touching water, have to be beside the sink and have my hands touched water tap with running water. I hate dirt and dirt should be cleaned every time. It's not that my house is dirty but I don't like dust either. So CONSTANT cleaning is the theme in my own house.
After all cleanliness is next to godliness.
